The version of itasoulas is going to be a MOD only. Meaning the ROM is just going to be based on CM 7.2 Stable Official.
Any reviews??
BUgs or anything??
P/S: I know its a kinda noob Quest.
I dnt hve a very fast internet connection so I dnt want to waste 1hr 45mins. to dwnload a buggy thing

There is a bugtracker if you think you have genuine problems, but it sounds as if you have some problems with your phone:

For me, official CM working very good. No problems with GPS, but don't know what is about torch. Was remove after flash and install Smart Tools, where in contrast Miracle V4, led working properly (in Miracle have only screen light, no led)...
Congrats on stable release developers!
Upgraded from 20120520 nightly. It's working well. No problems with Torch or GPS as mentioned above.
Only problem was with Link2SD. I wiped data and everything. Installing Link2SD it wouldn't recognise the 2nd partition on SD Card when it was formatted as FAT32. Even in terminal I couldn't mount that partition manually even though it showed up properly on my Linux machine and mounted correctly with vfat option. Nothing was showing up in mount on my Ace, the device seemed to be there, but it refused to mount. Very weird. Converted it back to ext4, and selected to have it mounted in Link2SD as ext3. Couple of reboots and it worked. I had installed Link2Sd on earlier nightly with FAT32 2nd partition, and everything had worked.
Is overclocking included in this rom? I can only see options to have the Max clock speed at 800MHz and that's what all the specs say the stock CPU speed is?
Cheers

Bln is a third party app! It not working is the fault of the dev not creating it to work with all kernels. Not the fault of the Rom

@wiresquire: CM builds always mount your sd-ext as ext3 - you need to edit your /system/init.d/05mountsd -- for the geeks out there this is trivial in the terminal via sed, I have a script which edits ext3 to ext4 (I always use ext4, not sure what to do about using ugly old fat as an app storage partition?) does this and a bunch of other customisations, but the sed line to edit the mountscript is:
Code:
sed -i -e 's/ext3/ext4/g' /etc/init.d/05mountsd
And official has no overclocked kernel, you need to update to the nightly for that...

Thanks for that useful command!
I just installed Apocalypse Rom and had to change that manually!
Is there any benefit of using the official CM stable/nightlies over say this mod - maybe OTA updates? I guess the mods do have certain tweaks and additions that make them a better choice for me personally!

Even though its a good kernel, still doesn't beats franco.kernel smoothness, in fact i've never been able to achieve franco level smoothness with any other kernel except franco itself...
With franco i get "iphone" smoothness level on contacts and settings menues, and many apps, statusbar etc..

Yup you're right..
I was suggested to use ta-gb 1.1 + hotfix kernel (as bug-free and for good battery life) but I cannot find this specific version of the kernel. Could someone give me a link or upload it please so that I could give it a try?
Between the kernel I was suggested to use and the latest, which one do you think is better in terms of battery life and less bugs? And what is the difference between the two latest releases (10/4/2012 and 18/4/2012 <-What is this kernel)?
edit: This was the result after flashing the second one:

I think, t.a gb 1.1+hotfix is based on franco's touch drivers. I have used almost all kernels so far and I think at present Roq XIII with t.a touch drivers are the best in terms of smoothness, stability and battery. Use the conservative at 480/600. Even the t.a 1.1+hotfix is superbly smooth and has superb battery. But it has a bug that when after using gps the battery drains even if the gps is turned off. Franco kernel has multiple issues 1) Frequent reboots during calls 2) Cameranot working after first use...and many other issues.
Roq xIII with t.a touchfix is as smooth as the iphone. Only thing is you have to tweak some settings on the cynogen power menu, spareparts+ and blade buddy I also moved the default launcher (Go Launcher) to my /system/apps to have the smoothness I get now. Smoothnesss cannot come just by installing the kernel. You have to tweak settings...
pradipsoman could you please verify if the kernel that you uploaded here is the 1.1 you are suggesting? The filename is v1.2 but I have to ask because it could just be a typo. What is your experience on the current version of thunder-vn? Do you still think the older 1.1 version of thunder-vn is better than the current one and why? offtopic: One more think, is Roq xIII as good as described on stock 2.3 rom? Or is it one of those kernels made for custom roms?
@ thachtunganh So what happened to my device (stock 2.3)? Are these drivers meant to be used on ics based roms?

Will everything be functional???
Thank YOu!
It's too soon for your second question to be answered. It's been a few hours since the kernel was released. If you give it a try there will be one more tester to give feedback.
I just flash the last kernel on hephappy's last build (youlookbeautiful) and i got stuck in lg logo

I think you can now use Thundervn Latest Release from TA Have tested it and now it does not have the wifi bug (only bug that t.a 1.1+hotfix had). It is smooth as butter and has excellent battery. Lets experiment further...
I'm testing it too. I'm satisfied by the smoothness too but how did you make a conclusion that soon about the battery life and the lack of gps bug?

On the latest 1.02 version is the above bug considered to be present? I get 7MB/s write and 15MB/s read speeds. If these are slow, what speed would be normal?

I was just browsing the AOKPlay thread and I found a fix for the video camera, ive tested it on CM9 nightlies as well as AOKPlay builds 37 and 38!
This means you can now record videos using the camera app on CM9 and AOKP roms
Instructions:

-Wipe caches and dalvik cache (otherwise you may get a FC)
-Enjoy!!

XNovaThor Project
About:
This rom bases on the most current Android (4.0.4) Open Source Project repo That is what makes it special comparing to other custom ICS roms like AOKP or CyanogenMod. This rom is fully AOSP, without stuff from AOKP or CM. Don’t even ask if i could add theme engine, custom lockscreen or other crap. Using clean rom we can reach 200mb of free ram without any task killer on board.

Well, IMHO, the sound is in both the same (but I'm not a musician LOL), free memory is in both almost the same (ICS fresh installed and I have "only" 10~15MB more of RAM), and smoothness... ICS, in JB, browser gives FCs and sometimes the ROM has a lot of lag (I have to reboot the device, I think that ICS is much more smoothness).
I hope this can help you
Thanks Dev! Awesome work.

I'm booting up your ROM as secondary. Everything went well. Except file manager(ES,Astro) FCs and Music FCs. Only Root Explorer works well. Any fix?
Also I can't seem to insert illumination files. After reboot, stuck in boitanimation.
Except all that, bro DevSwift1 brought us a miracle again!

Yes, the videos in HQ, do not look good in landscape mode, only see a piece in the top of the screen. Is solved using a player such as MX, which uses software decoding, but still an annoying bug
Sorry for my bad English
Hello there
Here is the the CM11 made for X10
Still be in alpha 1 as not everything's working
Nearly same bugs as Evervolv 4.4.2 as bugs are due to kernel
Recovery access is working, sdcard mount only in recovery .
To download the ftf file it's here
To enter recovery mod :
wait the 2nd vibration
tap the screen
Don't forget to check "no final verification" in flashtool
Sources are available here on github
Only for unlocked bootloader device
First boot can be long, but cpu frequency is 998 so no problem with oc
Credits : CM Team, FXP for initial repo (tell me if I forgot someone
Good job.

as you can see the SurfaceFlinger is the problem ..
W/SurfaceFlinger( 1182): getting VSYNC period from fb HAL: 6535947
W/SurfaceFlinger( 1182): no suitable EGLConfig found, trying a simpler query
F/SurfaceFlinger( 1182): no suitable EGLConfig found, giving up
F/libc ( 1182): Fatal signal 6 (SIGABRT) at 0x0000049e (code=-6), thread 1182 (surfaceflinger)
chack your sources..

Thanks dude.. I know my kernel boots but without display.. I said that graphical part needed to be updated to work on 4.x roms since current kernel setup is very "mutant" (GB KGSL - new FB - Tripple Buffering - 32bpp & many many more things..). You may just try to replace whole KGSL and Video/MSM folders with board config & misc updates from scritch v21 kernel.. we will loose 32bpp.. but i think it will be enough... one more thing.. I didn't updated msm_mdp.h it's old. because new verion starves double more PMEM than default and returns black & white camera.. so my video folder is tuned that way.. So i believe it's totally kernel fault.. BUT this setup works perfectly on GB. Maybe you realy can bypass/modify current surfaceflinger.. since current kernel setup is that what i realy want to see in 4.x roms.. I belive that there we will have HW video recording working super fine..
Also I wish to advice you LegacyXperia CM11 sources.. This project is created to be close as much as possible to original CM11 development but is optimized for legacy xperia devices (2011)(things like default browser..torch..data..etc).. Thank you very much...
Boots without problems.
Attached the following dmesg log.
If there's something you're looking for in specific let us know.
Thank you for your ongoing hard work.
Finally got sdcard mount and ums working... will update device tree later .
Got boot with an "old" 2.6.29 kernel.
Have to fix wifi and bt now....

Maybe this is just me, or does anyone also have their sdcard almost wiped out while using this ROM? I'm not sure what caused it, but all that I know is that a lot of my files are missing ever since I booted into this ROM. I remember wiping the data with the recovery from this kernel, but again, I am not sure if that is the cause of it. If not, it might be something else that I did before that, that is why I need to know if anyone else experienced the same thing as me.
I'm not expecting anything from a pre-alpha build, but the fact that it boots and we have a hope alone fascinates me.

Strange issue ... didn't noticed that ...
As sdcard was only recognised and mounted in recovery + you may have app installed on your sd, wiping data should be the cause.
Can't be rom installation cause sd is not mounted / recognized in user land.
As Hzu asked, did someone else had this issue ?

I see, thank you for your responses. Something must have happened before I flashed the ROM. Well, a lot of things happened, but I'm glad it's not this ROM that caused it.

um since this alpha alot of things dont work like the wifi/camera/audio/bluetooth/many applications.......and as such is not suited for daily use but its snappy and for a alpha is quite stable .
Any progress bro ????????
or we should forget about this rom, because this is too much wait.
Can someone tell what work/doesn't work, wifi work?

As wrote in op the rom boots, calls sms mms seem to work but wifi not ...
No camera and many other things don't work.
Since may didn't made any progress with kernel / kitkat based rom due to personnal reasons.
However, this project is not stopped, just can't when I'll be able to do work on it ... sorry
