How to flash FolioStock. I have big problem with wifi. When I try to install stock I get installation aborted. Redownload but nothing.
What to do?
What recovery do you use? Make sure it is the original recovery (the one in the FolioStock update.zip). There was a howto somewhere around to get it on the device if you changed it.
I try with original and clockwork mod but no luck.

Then get clockwork back on it and restore your image (if it works). If not, you'll be back to stock and can then go install a rom.
thanks for the quick response to my post - but check out the update that i just figured out

Ask the dev of the rom
I have this problem in my SGS2.
I root it then downloaded ROM Manager pressed the Flash CWN recovery, chose the SGS2 option and then it automatically download CWN 4.0.1.5, then, after doing that, every time I try to reboot into Recovery it show my the signature fail error.
I got 2.3.3.
I have exactly the same problem and i didn't find a fix until now.
I assume:
1. full factory default (if not, installing the original ROM)
2. rooting
3. install rom manager + recovery
will fix it but i'm too lazy to reinstall everything again.
Same problem here, please someone help

Okay, around last month I've been discovering the many different customizations of Miui. I've stumbled upon Miui's extended settings mod and have been trying to get it onto my phone. I've downloaded the .apk, but I also need to get another file on to make extended settings work. The only way to do that is to get onto Clockwork recovery. Every time I go to recovery I get Miui's included Glitch kernel CMW-based recovery. I want to get to Clockwork Recovery. I've tried Odin and ROM Manager, but nothing is working.
I've tried to get the .zip file to work on Glitch Kernel CWM but I always get installation aborted.
I'm sorry, but I'm incredible new at all of this and just need a lot of help.
P.S. I'm probably trying to get clockworkmod on odin wrong, and when I try to do it on ROM Manager it says something about not having official supported clockworkmod and if I installed it manually.
Glitchs recovery should work for flashing any zip that's for mtd...you shouldn't need to install another recovery...not sure why its aborting install. maybe its a bad download?
The extended settings also requires some changes to the framework, I'm assuming you downloaded the correct .zip for your release and are flashing the entire zip, not just installing the extended settings.apk?

Yes, I downloaded the correct .zip that it wants me to, but it get installation aborted.
Do I possibly need to change frameworks maybe? I have no clue!

Are you unzipping the rom once you've downloaded it or something? It sounds like you are, or maybe a corrupted download?
i would try manually copying a cwm update.zip to your phone and then try rebooting, if that doesnt work i would try rerooting it again
I've had the same problem. Corrupt download is the usual cause. Try re-downloading and flashing again. Also are you clearing cache, etc?
Sounds like the stock 3E recovery to me. That would prevent you from flashing a ROM. There are many ways around this, but I always go back to JFD and then flash the update.zip.... then a rom with root. A clean install and it takes maybe 10 minutes.
Some time ago i tried to install cwm via Odin in my phone and when i rebooted it came out a black screen. I flashed a stock rom and solve the problem. But when i tried to install cwm using the stock recovery mod and going to "apply update from /sdcard" the message "E: Unknown volume for path [/sdcard]" came out. I looked up and saw it may be caused by a corrupted/outdated version on cwm. I tried to solve it installing a newer version of cwm via Odin, tried to delete the cwm folder using apps and commands, tried to downgrade my firmware but nothing worked.
Someone please help me.
Just use the most recent version of PhilZ recovery. Also, I think you can safely ignore this error, because CWM mounts storage in another folder.
still need help =/
Didn't work. i dont know why but i cant delete this thing and cant upgrade it. have any other ideas?
You need to install PhilZ CWM through Odin, I think it don't work using stock recovery. If you can't do it, try to reflash stock rom and then you install CWM using Odin, again.
