I recently got an Orange UK HTC Mozart and a Mozart Debrand Kit from fonefunshop.co.uk.
I did what the exactly what the youtube video instructed me to do.
The phone appear to reboot many times during the update process (20x-30x). Before coming up with a error message saying the update had failed.
The phone seems to only go to the bootloader and displays "Enter USB Host Mode".
Have I bricked my new phone? What do I need to do next?
Thanks

Hello guys,
I'm new to wp7.. I recently bought a lumia 800 and tried to unlock it by installing the certificate and then running the wp7unlocker on pc (with Zune running in the background).
An error pops up each time stating that i make sure that the phone is connected using usb and the zune software is running. I googled it many times and still haven't found a solution.
I have installed the latest 12070 update via Zune and haven't flashed the phone or done anything else.
Awaiting a prompt reply.
The free Chevron unlock never worked on the Lumia 800. You have either to use the official Chevron method (which is currently not availably) or unlock your phone via AppHub. If you are a Student you could try to get a free dreamspark unlock.

My original Vodafone Spain branded Nokia Lumia 800 had no problems at all since today. I have never tried to unlock it and has always installed the official updates through Zune.
Today I've received the notification for the 7.8 update! Yay! I started the installation through Zune (as always). Everything was ok: steps 1 trough 5 (downloading, transferring, etc.). And then, step 6: rebooting the phone. It rebooted, but the usual "do not unplug" icon didn't show. Instead, the screen was blank and Zune was waiting endlessly for the phone to reboot. A notification came through windows saying that the removable drive must be formatted, which I DIDN'T do. The device manager was showing a "Qualcomm MMC Storage USB device" along with another one with a yellow asterisk.
Searching the internet I found that my phone has a special Bootloader, which was not supposed to be available to the final users.
I know many people here would love to have the Qualcomm Bootloader, but what I would like right now is to have the standard DLOAD Bootloader!
So here is my question: is it possible to restore the phone to the standard DLOAD mode so I could install the 7.8 update through Zune?
I've tried installing the Qualcomm drivers, which installed flawlessly. Now I have no yellow asterisks, but a new COM port ("Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 9006 (COM5)"), but Zune is still waiting for my phone to reboot....
UPDATE: I have tried with "Seven-Eighter" by Windows Phone Hacker wit the same result. Obviously is an issue related to the bootloader of my phone.
NOTE TO THE ADMINS: Should I better post this in the "Lumia 800 Windows Phone Development " section?
I've finally found the solution!
Just hold the camera button when Zune restarts the phone. Then the usual "do not unplug" screen appears and the process continues flawlessly.
Hi,
For lumia 800 - only way to change boot-loaders is through Test Points and ATF Flasher.

Hi Friends,
I have HTC One dual, I unlocked it from htcdev to get android latest updates.
When I have seen Android 4.4 update for my device, I tried to install it, but due to some unknown problem, device was getting rebooted again and again. So I selected option factory reset, but this also not worked bcoz device got unlocked.
Later I have tried to push some .img files on to device, finally the device got tampered, unlocked.
Please suggest me best solution to get android back on the device.
atleast suggets me to install any software in that device.
Thanks,
Anil
Hey Everyone,
After searching for days after a solution to my issue on this site and others I decided to get some personal feedback.
Because its my old phone and cause I want to have some fun with it i decided to root my HTC Desire X and proceeded to look for a tutorial on how. I learned that firstly I needed to unlock the bootloader thus I went to htcdev and followed the instructions all the way to the get token id part.
When I enter this into the CMD I receive a "waiting for any device" message and the PC gives me a popup saying "device unrecognised" which it doesn't do when not in bootloader.
I checked device manager and it says "device failed enumeration".
I have no idea what to do from here, I have tried installing various drivers and programs to no help and HTC Sync manager sometimes recognises the phone and sometimes not. I have heard it is a driver problem but people only say "do you have drivers" and perhaps I dont but I have no idea where to find them for windows 10.
Thanks for reading and I hope someone has an answer!
