10.2 is optimized for tegra 2 and such devices
The performance is definitely better with this version on the Atrix. I've attached a modded library that will allow you to view Hulu and other desktop-only sites. Unzip, push to phone, copy to /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib/libflashplayer.so. Use Dolphin HD, set user agent to Desktop, Plugins to Always. Enjoy.
Thanks pal

Yes, hulu works great on Atrix but I tried naively to use your trick on my Galaxy Tab and obviously it didn't work.

push as in /adb push
push != copy
When you say copy too "libflashplayer.so", do you mean I overwrite that file? Because its not a folder. Im new too all this, so be nice, LOL.
Well I removed the original file and copyed the mod file over and it works now. This is so awesome!!

so did you rename the mod file to what the stock file is named? I tried that and it told me I didn't have Flash installed so I went back to regular 10.2.

I posted a modified libflashplayer.so in the Galaxy Tab->Apps/Themes forum a while back. It's not 10.2, but it should be the latest non-tegra2 flash. Search for "hulu flash" and it should come up.

Sorry, I should have put a bit more detail into my post.
1. Install the 10.2 Flash version from the OP.
2. Once you download the attachment and unzip it, you'll have a libflashplayer_tegra_mod.so file. The stock file is named libflashplayer.so. You can either rename it on your PC and then adb push it to your phone, or push it as is and rename it while in an adb shell. Either way, just make sure it's named libflashplayer.so and gets copied to /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib.

Hey sorry, this may sound like a noobish question, but why can't i find the above path (/data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib) I connected my phone, and browsed into MB860 directory, but i only find the data subfolder, but nothing inside it says the above path.

You'll need either Root Explorer or use some other method such as a root shell via adb.
I did all the steps but hulu still says they dont support my platform

I have attached fascinate's live wallpapers.
The fascinate live wallpapers aren't found on any other variant(s) of samsung galaxy s including the vibrant.
push each individual APK to /system/app and also push lib to system/lib
you can push using root explorer or adb or any other file manager type of program
(root explorer is the best imo)
Again, not responsible if anything happens to your phone etc etc
ENJOY!!
No dice, didn't show up when I installed them.

Why does this need to be flashed? Do they overwrite the stock ones or something? Oh yeah, my phone came with the luminence one.
Thanks for the link, the Fascinate looks just like our phone! Ha, anyway I'm going to just adb push the files, seems easier than a recovery flash

No, it doesn't overwrite anything. You can open up the zip file and install the individual apk files, but you have to push the liblwfa-0.A.2-mng-p1.so file to your /system/lib/ directory before any of them will work.
wait.
where do i move the .zip to?
What I did was open up the zip file and went into the app folder and copied all the apk files over to my phone and installed them one by one. Work for me that way. BTW love the wallpapers!

Ok so I tried flashing this, and the wallpapers didn't show up. So I tried copying the .so file to system/lib folder and installed each .apk individually, so now they show up, but force close when I try to use them.
Anyone have any idea how to get this working, cos it seems to me that out should be good one way or another now.
Thanks

I have to agree with that statement sir.
theres plenty more Facinate live wallpapers that put the vibrant to shame.... can someone port from the facinate dump?

Jess, your problem is that the APKs need to be pushed into /system/app - you can't install them, they'll show up, but won't work. Try uninstalling them and push each file to /system/app.
just as rdauque says, push each individual apk to /system/app. DON'T INSTALL THEM OR FLASH.
also, some devices might need the lib to be push to system/lib.
you can use root explorer or adb to push these files.
works like a charm

Nothing wrong with girly wallpapers, some of us (admittedly nerdy) girls actually use android =)
Anyway, I really love the spark wallpaper, but honestly, I've always preferred purple over pink, so I colored the background for my liking.
Anyway, flash/push the original zip contents to your phone, or at least the .so file to /system/lib, then copy/push this to /system/app for my purple Spark mod.
Cheers,
=)

Just move the apk files using root explorer to system/app and it will appear in your live wallpaper files.

Look at the Nook General page at "Work Around" issues. The OP his some tips. I believe #12 or 13 deals with live wallpaper manipulation with root explorer.
Thanks. The link to the file in #12 isn't working for me. Do you know what it was? (Was it the "LiveWallpapers_NC.zip" file?)
Edit: and do you know what the best program for the Root Explorer is? (Root Explorer was about $4. Is there something free out there?)
Doesn't Auto-Nooter 1.0.1 enable live wallpaper? It must, because I didn't do any ADBing or sideloading that I remember.
Cheers,
kev

Try this link (I was able to download from there. Got the link from NookDevs, it should be valid). Root Explorer is the best way to work around adb most times. It is worth the investment. Just follow instructions in work around post.

I am trying an app called "Super Manager" which is free.
I am confused at item #12, where it says to install "this" file. (I assume the zip file is what is being referred ti?)
Once I download the .zip file, How do I install it? Don't I have to flash it? (Am I only trying to install the LiveWallpapersPicker.apk, and moving the other 2 files into the correct directory in addition to setting the permissions?)

I did not look at the zip file, sorry. I did notice that there were a couple of scripts with it that looks like the whole thing would be flashed in recovery. I found this stand alone apk for the app which I would feel more comfortable with. Install it per instructions. I got the download link from the attached thread that shares which wallpapers may be working. Good luck

I'd love to ask this in the Dev section so that it would get noticed, but one must follow rules: Adrenalyn's kernels have often included a patch to allow VZW SMSs over 160 characters to split rather than convert to MMS. I've noticed lately we're back to the converting method. Can this be made into a separate patch or can our great devs try to include this again into the latest kernels so that the SMSs will split again?
-edit- So I try to follow the rules and end up posting this in general rather than Q & A. I need my coffee
I second this. I'm actually on the search right now for the patch/fix that was posted.

I could be wrong, but I am fairly positive that the long SMS has nothing to do with the kernel, but with Messaging.apk. Which would make this a ROM issue. There is even a tutorial on here somewhere that tells you how to manually pull the .xml file from Messaging.apk, change the specific value to "7", which will make it so that your SMS is not converted to MMS until you reach 900 characters, then push it back. Again, I COULD be wrong, but I'm almost positive this has absolutely nothing to do with the kernel.
Its not the kernel.

If you don't know adb then make it easy on yourself and get rootexplorer then you can copy and paste. Or you can use linux terminal commands in terminal emulator (free in the market) to "cp" (copy) the apk file to the system/app dir
