In your opinion?

Uhh....its not?
This question should be answered by s15 he's the biggest fan of trigger I've ever met.
Yeah that's why I asked.
I though he was gonna be the first one to answer lol
Any ways in your opinions which one is better in terms of stability and speed
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
For ME i don't really notice a difference when it comes to speed and stability. battery life is also good on both.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
don't know never used trigger
not much different. Both are smooth and stable. for my vib, battery is a little better on trigger using same modem/kernel.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using Tapatalk
I can't say anything negative about bionix cause I haven't used tw rims since 2.1. But trigger is super smooth and fast and for me has zero issues. Everything works. Also if you look around in triggers thread you will see birgertime all over it answering questions and taking suggestions and being a overall really good guy. That's what sets them apart to me.
Trigger + Overstock = Awesomeness
in my opinion i like bionix more than trigger...
Lately I've tried Bionix, Bionix Frost, Trigger, Darky's, and am currently running Sweet Honey. Currently liking Sweet Honey simply because I've always had a soft spot for Touchwiz and with this iteration it seems to finally not suck.
Having said that all of the above have been worthy daily drivers for me. I'm just glad to have the choices.
I would have to say I like bionix better.
I Like the trigger, and the Axura both probably more than any others. Not from a performance point, because Bionix, EDT, Axura and Trigger area all equal, it is just the small details, and the sense that it gives you such a nice feel that wins me over to those 2 above the rest.
I've always been a bionix lover, but I have to say that lately there's no talk from the devs or others...i think the whole vibrant deal is starting to wear off..unfortunately.

Bionix or Trigger?
I've only had the chance to try bionix 1.3 and then 1.3.1. With Bionix the wifi drop was quite upsetting however voodoo sound with overstock kernel was simply amazing. version 1.3.1 is missing overstock which is a big disappointment for me as voodoo sound is no longer an option. I did however flash overstock after flashing 1.3.1 so far I get Fc's often and the launcher glitches. Trigger no complaints except bad battery life however it may have been just me. I had heavy use. Between texts and music along with wifi and occasional ten min timeout on screen I avg 6 hours. performance wise I enjoy Trigger.
One reason there may not be any posts from TW in the Bionix thread is that Som said it was basically the final update. That and I think work may be being focused on Gingerbread.
Bionix Frost
Dragon kernel v5
I think they are all great rom's just depends on which one gets your attention more.
I tried trigger for 2 days and switched back...i didnt notice any difference other than theme.
I would have given it more time had splash of color been available for it,i prefer a very colorful apearence outside of being very fast..asfor battery life, thats of little importance to me...i have 3 batteries and an external charger
Bionix-V 1.3 w/a Splash of Color
BTW, thanks to Trigger and Bionix rom dev.
currently using the [ROM][PORT] Juwe's Smart Edition v1.5.5 XWJS7 (Updated 3/12/11) by jrafael. Would like to say smart and simple.

I'm about to flash a ROM. which one is better?
They are both excellent, look at the feature list and see which has the core pieces that you are looking for.
I'm running bionix 1.4, and it is by far the best rom out in my opinion. Its very snappy with either kernel. 100000000000000x better than stock and lag is virtually gone
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Another vote for Bionix. 1.4 is amazing and Sombionix is a god among men.
I don't always complain, but when I do, I #BlameWes
Try both. Results may vary.
I personally use Frankin-Twiz Update4.
Having flashed just about every rom available here, I lean Bionix 1.4 oc.uv.
It just feels better to me--all the roms are well put together, but it is all going to come down to what you like in your UI and what is on the phone.
They are both great, but I have been using Bionix because I use most of the TW apps which of are taken out on F/T.
Both are solid. I've been using F-Twiz3 for a few weeks, and now F-Twiz4 for a day. F-Twiz3 was very solid, no problems.
Be aware that bionix 1.5 is having bluetooth problems. I and many others simply couldn't get BT to work, so I went with F-Twiz4.
I too am usually a loyal fan of bionix, but i need to have the bluetooth working so currently i am running franken-twiz 4. as soon as sombionix gets the bluetooth fixed though i will be going back over to his rom. of course i wouldn't have any objection to his jp3 froyo rom if it gets swype working better and the market gets fixed.
Thanks guys. I tried both the ROMs out, and really liked them both. But the graphical changes that were made on both ROMs was the deal breaker, and I decided to change my kernel to get the speeds I wanted.
But... to save starting a new thread... I kind of want to replace my stock music player, because I really don't like it.
I searched through the forum, and didn't find much.
Do you guys have any suggestions?
MixZing is pretty good--best I've used so far.

Vibrant vibrating nicely now,Kthx!
Can anyone here the boards give me some feedback of their experience with either ROM?
I would love to know because I wanna run GB on my lil ol eris and cant decide whether I want vanilla or a tweaked version.
Much thanks in advance, Jeff
GSB for me
Ever since I first put GSB on my phone (can't remember which version) I haven't moved to anything else. I really love it. I have also been wondering what the differences between GSB and Ginger Tazz are, though...so if anyone has used both - which do you prefer?
I started right with GSB from 2.1. I haven't tried any other roms but in a day ive seen 3 updates. Its nice to have solid support.
Id be interested to see side by side metrics. Id love to see a ginger sense ROM

ive ran both. each are great roms. i settled on gintazz
i great great battery life and my phone is super fast and i havent had one issue
with it since using gintazz.
you should try both and choose for yourself you really cant go wrong
Is it hard to switch between ROMs or same process? Just data +dalvik and flash
Sent from my Eris ADR6200 using XDA App
Yup just date/dalvik wipe. Act. I font think I ever rid a dalvik wipe with a data wipe, wont hurt though. I switch between Roms a lot. I like to check everything out

I've used both, but I've been with GSB for the most part and haven't tried a recent version of Ginger-Tazz so I can't really give a review; other people seem to love it just fine.
i switched from GSB to v20 ginger-tazz. i like the simple integration with not too many custom launcher add ones. (adw vs launcher pro)
Love ginger tazz its has great battery life, a great thread with awesome ppl and its fast.

I first had gsb but I tryed Ginger tazz & I like it alot.haven't had any issues.its faster &just runs smoother.

i
i use ginger it has some nice feq
I've ran both and have settled with Ginger Tazz. Its very fast and I like not haveing all the CM stuff. Its also small so you have lots of memory left over. Haha.
But ya. I run that with the stock launcher and overclocked at 710 (maybe 729) and it just goes. Battery life it pretty great to and with the v3 update its supposed to be better than before (some people had issues with battery on v2, i stayed on v1 and did well)
EDIT: I wrote this assuming you were asking about GSB and the AOSP Ginger Tazz. If not sorry. But thats your review for those two.
I JUST flashed the AOSP Gingertazz ROM this morning and so far I love it. So far it is noticeably faster than GSB - probably because some of the bloatware is removed. I'll give it a few days so I can add a bunch of my own bloat and see how it goes.
Though I've really loved all the ROMs I've used so far - can't say enough how appreciative I am for the work the devs have done and continue to do to improve this 'end-of-life' Eris! I don't really even think about my next phone anymore since rooting a few months ago.

I want ditto the sentiment. It has been refreshing to see life breathed into my phone after repeated attempts to make the stock version work. Thanks deb's for making my update in October a mute point.

I've been running GSB since version 2.0 I think. It's been running very well with very few issues, which I suspect wouldn't be happening if I would follow shed's instructions to wipe data before loading each new release. Today, I decided to give GingerTazz a shot. I tried out the current version 22. GingerTazz seems like a pretty solid ROM, but I missed a few of the bells and whistles of GSB and how snappy GSB is, even with all the stuff I've loaded on it. Both of these guys are top notch in my book, and I will pay attention to which phones they and Kaos use to determine which phone I get next. My recommendation, based on my experience and preferences =GSB.
Hi, I've got a Vibrant on T-Mobile and recently got myself an SGS2 and am giving the Vibrant to my pops.
It's currently running neobuddy89's ICS Passion v13 w/ patch. (Thanks to him and everyone else who worked on it btw! awesome rom!)
Anyways, I was wanted to get some input on what a good rom would be for someone who has never had a smart phone before. I'm looking for something thats super stable and has awesome battery life while still being user friendly.
Any and all opinions are welcome.
Bionix 1.3.1 is super stable and has great battery life, but its a 2.2 rom
hmm i think i've tried that version of bionix before. if it's the one im thinking of, i liked it a lot. thanks for the input.
From experience it is easier to be running a rom you have used, or are using I keep my mom's vibrant on the same rom I am on just so I can help her if an issue arises, but if you are moving to a different phone pick on that is super stable
You make a very good point with that; It would likely be troublesome to potentially have to learn the ins and outs of two new roms.. have you tried any of the CM roms?
I used cm7 for quite a while, but gps sucks and I have run into random issues but I guess that happens on all roms. I suggest staying where you are and every once and a while updating the rom once an update comes out
yeah its battery life im really after and ics passion's isnt bad but its not the best i do remember that with bionix v, i went up to 2 days without charging with moderate use sometimes. lol
It depends if he reads off his phone at night honestly. If you use bionix or any 2.2 rom your eyes get blasted every screen touch by the capacitive buttons, not so on 2.2.1 roms. If he does read at night I recommend bi-winning with the sgs2 theme. Very polished and mature in my opinion. With Bali undervolt his battery life will be stellar.

CM is officially supported on the Vibrant again. Changes and link to latest nightly here:
http://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=vibrantmtd
I'm running build 229. Haven't tried GPS yet, but everything else seems to work.
Well, first, you could always flash back to stock. I'm pretty sure that's the most stable ROM, ha. Otherwise, I liked Bionix and CM. Both were very smooth and everything worked, as far as I can remember. You could also try Lithium Volt, but I haven't gotten to do much testing stability wise.
i would say bionix as they mentioned before on this thread. simply becuase it's been put up to the test by many and is known to be stable and has great batt life.
all the new roms are still being tested and still have bugs and well since it's for your dad i would assume he just needs something stable not anything flashy and wild.
+1 bionix with bail UV

Hi,
I’m looking for rom to my wife what impotent:
good battery life, fast GPS lock, can run games, look good (effects, etc..), don’t have any bugs that woman can’t solve
I doubts between 2.2 \ 2.3 \ 4.0.X
I saw in dev page that a lot of roms created this month
I know that there is bug in ICS that can block the access to internal memory card (or is it fixed already???)
The phone currently with “project-v” rom and can’t run games (have lag’s) slow, acting weird (when open call log \ try to dial numbers it go back to home screen)
Thanks.
Fishmod bionix or jellettes private stock. Both are awesome
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda premium
another suggestions?
BTW - does the ICS bug (encryption error fixed already)
how come we never see anyone ask for a rom that has crappy battery life, broken gps, horrible multitasking, a brown&yellow theme, and tons of bugs (random reboots, 911, freezing due to underclocking)???
'Cause we can get those without asking.
Bionix Fishman mod final is wonderful.

To my knowledge, the encryption bug is still out there...although it is kind of a hit or miss, maybe it would be best if you stuck with froyo or GB....as those above me have mentioned, anything by either Fish or jellette is a safe bet.
thanks.
So this is my options:
Bionix-V FishmanMod Final 3
AOSP'ish-FishmanMod V1.1
Xerxes I - Preview Version
Any preferred?

I would highly recommend Bionix-V FishmanMod Final 3
vibrant rom
my wife uses deranged 9-fishman mod kernel version 2.6.32.9-Bali_1.8.8uv. it is fast has great battery life and runs her gps and games with no problem
I've recently come back to good ol' stable Froyo from trying out ICS (ICZen and Slim), and while they're both very slick I can't deal with some of the app lag and GPS quirks (quick lock on first boot and then 40-100s locks afterwards).
I went through a littany of roms including Zendroid, Trigger, Project-V, Fishman's RAZR, Fishman's Bionix Mod, Toxic, and something never quite felt right with any of them so I eventually came full circle back to Bionix 1.3.1 but this time with the Overstock 2.4.1 kernel instead of Voodoo. It's just the way it needs to be: light, fast, super stable, and themed really well by default.
But for simplicities sake I say the Bionix-V FishmanMod (maybe even his 2.2 Blue) would be the best choice since they're still "alive" (Fishman actually responds from time to time in the threads) in case you ever needed help.
I just got a Vibrant and was wondering if I should roll with Passion, CGM, or AOKP?
I looked into these, but just wanted some more opinions on which one I should install.
I'd prefer to get something that would make my phone faster and have a better battery life.
Good luck! I'm personally too scared to try any of the ICS roms due to the spooky Encryption Unsuccessful bug.
That said, before I read up on that bug, I was going to install the Gummy rom. Seemed kinda cool.

ICZen and Slim are my favorite ICS builds, but with the GPS still having delayed lock problems (even for a Vibrant) I still come back to Froyo for daily driver purposes. If you don't mind a sub-par GPS (which the Vibrant is already infamous for) the ICS ROMs are badass. I've flashed different versions of Slim and ICZen about 15 or so times with their different releases, and I never had a problem with the encryption bug but the more I've read about it the more it worries me.
Fishman (Bionix-V Mod, AOSP, RAZR, among a few) and Moped Ryder (EZ_Ryder, and a Slim version of that) still update and work on Froyo ROMs, plus there are so many "vintage" 2.2 ROMs to give a run it took me about a week of flashing a bunch of them to find what I liked and didn't like. I still almost always settle back on Bionix-V 1.3.1 or Fishman's mod of 1.3.1, but Project-V is another nice one even though it's unsupported now.
I wasn't a fan of the look of Trigger look but the performance was very good, and Go Launcher being integrated into Deranged was a non-started for me. As awesome as Go Launcher is (my favorite freebie launcher), I like my ROMs as barebones as possible so that I can add what I want, but that's just me. Zendroid was another great Froyo build (I think Deranged was built off of it), but, again, something about the look didn't do anything for me but that's all personal taste. You can theme them how you want, but sometimes those don't touch as much of the overall look of the ROM as having them themed from "stock".
I'd say go with the latest iczen if u want stability cool features and great battery life. Plus you will still get support and a great team behind it with lots of cool themes I will try an get u my battery life screen shots once I'm home and on my computer

edit: this is some pretty heavy usage listening to music all day at work you can see that idle time is like 3%
and god we all know how much of a battery hog that fb app is
ICZEN is the one you're looking for.
This may be later than normal, but I've been on ICZen for a long time now...I tried to switch to CM9 but was highly disappointed by that, and went back to Zen... Much more stable, faster, more user friendly interface. Some things that I like that I could NOT go on without were the brightness slider on the drop down menu and the hold back to kill app features... those two alone make this app worth its weight in gold. I've tried six different ones and always go back to Zen Love their stuff!

If you want something new, fast, simple, stock-like, then get Helly Bean. For speed, I used these OC settings that someone suggested to me:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30957051
As for the battery life, I had GPS off and Wi-Fi off playing music from Winamp in my car with it for about an hour and it went down from 95% to 82%, if that helps.
Also, I recently flashed the build update from 9/2 to 9/4 Helly Bean and only had to change the LiveOC high and low after OCing with the settings in the link above without losing any files.
For me the CM10 last nigthly is the best.
I will have to try ICZen. I've been running on of the CM9 nightlies (04/29). It was great for quite awhile, but the battery life hasn't been very good the last week or so for some odd reason.
