So, my problem is the same as many people: I can't get xrecovery working on my xperia mini pro.. This is kind of stupid, because i already had xrecovery working on my phone and i have it on my x8 too, but after i reflash my phone, i can't acess to xrecovery menu.. It seems 'he' doesn't like me.. --'
Could someone tell me what should i do? Cuz' i'm getting crazy..

when you reflash, you need to root and install xrecovery again.
I used the all in one solution (can be found on these forums): root, busybox and xrecovery and then it worked.

Yeah some xrecovery version is not usable with u20i. only alpha version works AFAIK. U can use the link from panoptica to redo it again. mine works with that version from mikehvl.
ya know, it happens to me too. But solved when I update my phone to .0.6
Just make sure the permissions were set

you will need to change the framework-res.apk.
But before doing thhat you should read many topics about how-to so that you can understand how and to to mod these thing.
Else you'll just brickec your phone, and that's pain in the asss you have to reflash everytime you bricked.

Erm, I guess should press it more than twice just right after the white sony ericsson loge appeared, better hit and combo non stop the back button till the xrec loaded, but if it proceed to the bootanimation, that means xrecovery is not install.
That means, your xrecovery did not work.
I did post ssomething in the mini general thread somethinng for newbies. And I have attached the only xrecovery that works for me.
Download and install.

There's should be a section in mini theme and apps. There you can find how to insrtall custom notification.
Since im not in front of my pc, I cant help you much. I'll try to post you some link with custom notification and battery icon later.

When you load pc companion or SEUS you will see a button to check for updates, it will then tell you the software is up to date but would you like to reinstall it anyway. If you click 'yes' it will then begin downloading the latest 'official' SE 2.1 ROM and install it (wiping your phone in the process).

Anyway, if you get in trouble with it, you can always manually flash an old official rom to it and then update it through SEUS.

wher i get it (SEUS) and how does this work.I have such a problem :´
I rooted my x10 mini android 2.1 to 2.3 CyanogenMod 7.0 with this version my SD card didnt work. Then tried CyanogenMod 7.9, after restart theres only Sony Ericsson logo on the screen, then I disconnectied battery and phone went to clockworkmode. From there I cant do anything. I have tried to restore( no files ) and then reinstall android but installation was aborted. when I reboot my phone then logo stays.
NEXT DAY: something happened, riht now only Sony Ericsson logo on the screen. clockworkmode does not work anymore!
I hope somebody can help me out. Its my first Android and im new at this.
Update ur phone using pc companion. Or Sony Ericsson update service ....

dont do it, use mini-04, which is stock rom + root and without all the se garbage.
Everything works perfectly and its fast and smooth.
Disable auto-brightness and you got a perfect little droid.

Very odd thing. I installed EWJet Rom few weeks ago. Wanted to try wolfbreaks so I used SEUS. I now have official gb dont know how because I was told by operator it was not being released to us. Any one explain this I dont get how it but gb on it

Official gb hasn't been released for mini/mini pro so if you have it then you'll be the only one ever lol, im sure SE would be suprised to know that too

Yeah i really dont understand it I have now re-rooted using kernal downgrade/upgrade method & want to change coz stock is pretty laggy.
Ps also i have an x10i not a mini

x10 is waaaay different than x10 mini/pro
you better go to x10 forums before you do somethimg that will brick your phone
(in order to understand the differencies in mini we cannot even touch the kernel not upgrade/downgrade.... )

The SE Latest Update (4.0.2.A.0.69) to Mini/Mini Pro!
Nothing changed, only I added Root files, because we can't root it.
WORKING WITH LOCKED BOOTLOADER!
Installation instructions:
0.) If you have stock kernel: Get ROOT and CWM for your ROM.
1.) Download the ROM, and copy it to your Memory Card.
2.) Restart your phone and get into CWM.
3.) Make a backup of your current ROM!
4.) Go into mounts and storage, and make format /cache, format /data and format /system. Go back, and go into Advanced, and make an Wipe Dalvik Cache.
5.) Go back to CWM Main Menu, and select install zip from sdcard. Choose the zip.
6.) If you finished with this, restart your phone.
Recommended to use it with .62 Baseband and Kernel!

Wifi stuck too...
I just flashed this earlier, wifi got stuck on "obtaining ip address". Tried to fix it by flashing another custom kernel, phone got stuck at bootup. Repaired it using seus and to my surprise it updated to .69 firmware and it works ok now although I lost root. Baseband is also updated to xxx-66

Something same happened with me and I got my X10 back, so don't worry.
You just have to flash the stock SE firmware is by using the X10 Flashtool.
And then root your phone again.

to update using SEUS we need to enter into debuging mode....

that means you didn't read my post (number 13) on this thread, you DO NOT need to get to debbuggin to flash! anyway, if you don't wanna read it:
I assume your phone is X10i (if it's X10a let me know)
1.- download stock generic firmware http://minus.com/mAla782XK/1f
2.- download and install flashtool http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/
3.- inside flashtool you'll find several folders, unrar your firmware (X10i_3.0.1.G.0.75_1241-1846.ftf ) inside firmware folder, do not connect your phone yet
4.- run flashtool and click on "flash" icon, pick flashmode, then OK
5.- On the left side select your firmware and hit OK (It will say "preparing files for flashing")
6.- A window giving you instruccions will pop up, just press and hold the back button on your phone, connect the USB cable (which is already connected to PC, of course ) and don't let go the button until you read flashtool started to flash
7.- wait 'till it finishes
8.- It will only take a few minutes, the only moment it seems it's stucked is when is flashing "system" , don't worry, it takes a little longer that the other files.
9.- after is done, just unplug, turn it on and wait, don't forget first boot always takes a little longer too!!!!!!
10.- If you want to, use flashtool to root your phone and install xrecovery afterwards, that's it, brand new

i just installed a new mod on my Xperia mini via recovery and when i powered an unlocked my phone i had only a black screen but menu and all icons where at their place! i tried to restore my Phone but i saw that i hadnt made a back up! i now i am stupid but is there a mod that would solve my problem?

Either look for a ROM that works on locked bootloader (I presume your BL is locked) which can be installed via recovery
Or if you want stock ROM then repair with Sony ericcson update service.

Then you're able to launch any app, right? If so, ask around for stock systemui.apk and defaultthemes of mini and you can just copy and replace them. Otherwise, try my previous solution.
I have mini pro, so i can't give you.
I had this problem once too, but mich more serious. I just reflashed my the ftf file of my model and restore back the apps. Hope it works for you
