Hi,i ve got a question.
Is possilbe to run any rotation effectson Folio?
Do you know what i mean...Some animation which plays when i turn around as to landscape or portrait...?
Thanks a lot
I guess you can set how many animations do you want to display in settings -> display -> animations
Yeah,i can but i can't set any effects at rotation display.
I want to Folio plays some effect when i turned of but i can set just effect at open some app and so on...
Doesn't exist some app or anything like this?
Hi,
I guess that this could be done within spare parts, as it's a hidden option.
If you want a real cool homescreen replacement you will have to wait for spb mobile shell for android.
In my opinion this fancy graphics and animations are expendible and I don't really need them. I would prefer more stable drivers and less bugs.
The general feel I get when using android is that is still very rough around the edges.

Heyo Fellas,
So I recently started experimenting with Desktop Visualizer (https://market.android.com/details?id=jp.co.bii.android.app.dskvzr&feature=search_result) to try and sleekify and sexify my phone.
While being able to set it all up with the uniform and minimalist icons I like is nice, I dread there being a catch in a performance hit.
Does anybody know if Desktop VisualizeR is known to cause slow downs/performance hits? Is it designed to be very lightweight or not?
Also, I did search both the forums and google for insights, but found that a lot of stuff was dated. I want an up to date answer in case they've optimized anything.
Thanks for any input.

I have 6 desktop icons on my home screen. no lag noticed. using go launcher ex.
On my atrix I have 12 1x1 dekstop visualizer icons setup and see no effect on performance other than a few seconds added to boot time to load the widgets. On my dell streak I had even more and it didnt effect performance and it is half the specs of the atrix.
Edit: using launcher pro plus
AFAIK, desktop visualizer is only creating shortcuts and using any icon you choose to do so, i dont think its something that runs non stop
Awesome.
Thanks everybody.
And Pirateghost, I bet you're absolutely right.
You guys put me at ease.
Thanks again.
Around a year back I found an automatic wallpaper changer that was able to randomly rotate pictures. But the nice thing is it was also able to do it with a fading transition effects between each rotation.
If I remember correctly it was an xml file, that required live wallpaper. I don't remember the specific of how I was able to make it work, however my phone was quite old and even though the transition worked, it was quite choppy. Recently i just bought a samsung s2 and want to try it again, but I can't find that thread after hours of searching. I regret not backing up that file.
So if anyone know of this or perhaps a new app that is able to do this, I would be very grateful.
You could try this: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mlevit.wallpaperswitch&hl=en.
Unfortunately this isnt what I'm looking for thank you though.
Try WallMe, I think that's the name. There's a free and paid version in the market, but the free version did everything I needed, including the fade transition. You have to change the settings for fade, it's set to zoom by default.
I now use MultiPicture LWP. It uses a different picture for each screen but also can pull from a folder. I like it better, but WallMe Lite seems more like what you are looking for.

huzzah! just what i was looking for thank you very much, I hope they add a feature to control the speed of the transition later on.
I there a Windows 8 lockscreen out yet for Android? The one you see on the commercials where it shows a picture and you do a gesture on the picture to unlock it?
Up this thread.
I'm looking for the windows 8 lockscreen adapted on android tablet. Is this exists ?
Thanks for help
That'd be cool. They seem fairly secure given all the possibilities of touches and gestures one can do.. certainly much better than swiping some dots.
I don't know much about lock screen development though, me thinks it'd be not so simple as creating an app though, it's something that has to be ported/integrated.
here it is guys. And yes, it was made into an app. Its simple to use and very nice. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32401443
So here is the idea, a X-Cross Media Bar (XMB) style interface launcher that can be used on android devices, phones or tablets, but I plan on using it on my N7 since I use a Bluetooth keyboard I use for remote desktop and chrome and a pc xbox controller for games from time to time I have been trying to figure out how to make a decent android home screen that interacts like the XMB controls wise but have come up short.
I have found quite a few threads and other pages for stuff like this that has moved nowhere in the past and was hoping you guys might be able to get something in some sort of solution to my desire for a clean interactive interface. The closest thing i have, thanks to one of my friends who first came up with the idea but I have obsessively been trying to find a way to perfect, is using Nova launcher with folders set to tap to open a set app and swipe up to open the folder and a custom icon based off a PS3 theme pack I took the images from all arranged in an XMB style (picture linked) with the Wave Life Wallpaper to give it that PSP/PS3 look.
Basically all I want is an interface that interacts like the XMB, can be controlled either with directional buttons or by swiping across the screen (or tapping the icon of what you want if possible). But the big kicker here is that it has to support each column set acting as a customizable folder, like in Nova, and a standard app drawer where you can see all your apps. I don't even care if this requires xposed, a different launcher, and widgets, I want it and have done everything short of trying to code it myself. (probably not a good idea, I'm a network guy, not a good programmer)
All the pages I have come across in search of the pot of gold:

https://code.google.com/p/xpmb/

The second to last one was a launcher somebody made, and believe it or not runs on 5.0.2, but has some issues and does not really let you change anything. The last Link is an actually functional one but does not allow for much customization.
What I am thinking of is more of a launcher that allows you to create columns for certain things and select which apps fill them like a folder does, allows you to have whatever wallpaper (static, scrolling, live) and has customization options. If somebody out there can program this and get it working I would pay for it. It just seems like such a usable interface for when using a controller, keyboard, or even on a touchscreen as a way different way to have everything organised. Although a standard app drawer would still be nice to avoid having every app in a column and just the ones you frequently use (I basically want an XMB in place of multiple desktops on the home screen)
Just let me know if anybody can help me figure this out.
good afternoon, I have a question / problem, and I have tried the vast majority of customs roms android foot and in all I have a problem in common, the roms are perfect but randomly when I make transitions with desktop screens, or moving icons on the desktop I get a square bottom of the size of an icon and it is somewhat annoying, it is removed and put as it makes the transitions on the desktop screen. happens to some ?? if so, you have been able to solve ?? thanks for all community.
