I'm using a Wiimote over bluetooth to play emulators, but the only ones i can find that support wiimote and classic controller are the Tiger emulators and they do not scale the screen properly. They apparently are not using the nooks full resolution, anyone know of any emulators that support wiimote that do support full screen on NC? Thanks!

Under Settings > Scaling mode > Scaled is the normal option that shows off games well, scaled. You can choose Stretched if you would like full blown full screen, but IMO it looks nasty with the games I have tried.

Min just stretches it a bit more. Not even close to the full screen. It ends up being about one fourth of the screen on said mode.

Might have to do with the game maybe? With the Tiger and yongzih's(sp?) emulators stretched makes them full screen for me like I mentioned. Sorry if I'm not really helping.
There is a few apps out there that allow you to use the wiimote with any emu apps, the one I see for free is Wiimote controller. I haven't tried it on the Nook, but it worked when I tried it on my droid a few months ago. I hope this helps.
all of the xxxoid apps support the wiimote. you have to go to the "other settings" option in settings and turn on"use input method" then turn off virtual keypad and configure key mappings both in the input settings

I'm sure all the ones by yongzh work with the Wiimote, and he has a lite version for everything except PSX and N64 (Which are $6 each, IIRC).
I find that they're much higher quality than the Tiger emulators.
Man if I could get my BT work id be buying the psx and the 64 ones...
on CM7 17/18 it just turns right off not sure what to do to fix it
Same here, wiimote controlled works in tiger, but not xxxoid emus...
The key presses register when assigning them, just not-game. Has anyone found a workaround?
Or know how to get [email protected] screen? In game stretch option doesn't fill screen as others have noted
Thanks

You sure you've enabled special input methods in the options for the *oid emulator? You can map the keys normally, but they won't work in game unless you enable input method within the app.

Flash dalingrin's kernel for CM7. See if that improves your situation.
Link3737, thanks so much - found the setting n it worked like a charm!!! Awesome combination of wiimote and nook

Reboot your Nook. I have that problem like 1/3rd of the time but once its on, its on.
Snes EX is free right now in the market and supports multiple wiimotes right in the app. Works great with the classic controller (dedicated buttons for FF and load game).
yeah, yongzh' apps all allow for wiimote control. I've heard of other apps working through this program called "wiimote controller" in the marketplace, though I've never had the priviledge of doing so myself, so I can't vouch for its' authenticity. The program does exist, though 1 I've just never had a wiimote to try it myself.

Just figured out how to cheat in gta 3 on an ATRIX 4G
1) while playing game hold the home screen button down until the recent apps page shows.
2) Hold the left most button down (the home button) until a keyboard pops up.
3) Hit Gta 3 and you now have a keyboard in the game.
4) just type in a cheat.
Here's some cheats...
ANICESETOFWHEELS--- No Chassis, Wheels Only. *Update. Type it it in again to turn it off.
BANGBANGBANG--- All Cars Explode
BOOOOORING--- Slows Time

Is it the ROM I'm usin????
TORTOISE--- 100% Armor
And btw, THESE CHEAT CODES WORK WELL ON ALL ROMS !
If when you hold menu button, keyboard never appear, go to your browser and click on a case where you can write, the keyboard appear, then slide down your notification bar and click on GTA III.
So, you have your keyboard to enter a code. Codes will not work if in game you are on pause.
It works here also, but giveusatank gives me a random car(not really random, in abc order or I don't know), so I have to type it several times to get a tank, but it's cool, because I can get a lot type of cars.(GTA 3 1.0)
So anyone knows a good hotkey funtcion so I just press a button, and it types giveusatank instead of me, it would be cool, and faster.
love you! thanks work perfect
Hey there,
I will use this post to ask a question regarding GTA3 and our beloved Atrix:
Does the game works for someone on CM9 kangs?
I use turl1's ICS Kang V8, and for some reason the game won't even launch, only gives me an error notification- "Unfortunately GTA3 ... has stopped"
It worked great for me on CM7 and Blur-based roms....
Wont work for me on stock 2.3.6

I connected a bluetooth mouse I had lying around hoping it would allow me to use the browser like a desktop browser with support for things like popups that occur when hovering the cursor over a link/picture, dragging flash or other controls, drag-select text.
None of these things worked. The cursor appears and I can move, tap, drag and use the scroll wheel. But it basically behaves as a surrogate of my finger. All the web controls that would require a mouse on a desktop and that don't work with my finger, don't work any better with the cursor.
Is this the expected behaviour? I tried the stock browser, Dolphin and Firefox. They were all the same.
Is there any advantage to using a bluetooth mouse? The only things I can see are less fingerprints on the screen a better precision for positioning the text cursor. But my capacitive stylus covers those just as well.
Thanks.
Tried it on Chrome? Depends with FW are you on, and kernel.

Does it work properly on Chrome? From what I understand Chrome requires ICS and while I played with it briefly it seemed like it still needed work on stability and I use the camera for Evernote. But I'd be happy if ICS supports proper mouse integration.
I'm using Task 14 with Pershoot's kernal.
Thanks.

Not entirely sure since I don't have a BTooth mouse but will test it for you sometime this week.
I have a couple questions about this and I couldn't find any clear answers.
First of all, I connected by plugging into the dock and using the native bluetooth pairing in ICS. Everything looked like it was working great, played some SNES roms just fine. But when I went to map keys for N64 roms, I found out my right analog stick isn't being detected at all except for pressing it. I even tried mapping the right analog to other keys that had already worked but that didn't work. How can I fix that?
Also, I read that analog input is now accepted (ie: The analog sticks actually act like analog instead of digital buttons), how do I get that working? Is that only available through the Sixaxis app? Has anyone gotten the analog working properly in emulators (like being able to control your walking speed in Mario64)?
Other info: Running stock .15, unrooted, standard DS3 controller, have dock if necessary.
Edit: I decided to actually test it and the true analog does actually work just fine. I was just assuming that since you could only map "DPAD_LEFT", etc. that it was mapping digital button presses. But I played some Ocarina of Time and the analog works perfectly. I still wasn't able to get the right analog to detect though. I tried unpairing and re-pairing to no avail.
I'm just taking a shot in the dark here but the original N64 controller only had 1 analog stick. If the N64oid emulator you are using is designed based off of the original N64 controller, That would explain why you can not map the right analog stick in it.

I don't think that would be the problem. SNES had no analog and I can map the left analog for it just fine. Also, I can navigate through homescreens and such with my left analog, so I went into the inputs menu and changed the right analog to be the same inputs as the left and it doesn't work anywhere on the Prime.
So I think it's the Prime itself not recognizing the input. I'll try rooting and using the Sixaxis app tonight and see if that works.
I used the sixasis app the other day and it worked perfectly. I haven't done it yet, but I believe you can fully map it anyway you wish

Alright, now I'm even more confused. I rooted and installed Sixaxis and it works great, started detecting my right analog just fine. I opened up N64oid, mapped all the keys which worked fine...I tested all the buttons, most of which are just mapped to letters and they were being detected by the N64oid app. But when I open up Ocarina of Time, nothing at all worked, not even the buttons that worked before. So I turned off Sixaxis and reconnected natively with ICS. Right stick stopped being detected all together but I was able to move around in OoT.
What the eff? Any ideas?
Yup.....me too.
I'm using the sixasis app and it says you can map buttons but its real confusing. It works in gta3 but I hate the button layout and have no clue how to change it up.

Just a quick update: I figured out why Sixaxis wasn't working in N64oid. There's an option, brilliantly hidden nowhere in input options, to "enable IME input". Just checked that and everything worked perfectly...almost. The analog sticks became digital after that but I did have an outdated version of Sixaxis, so I updated but haven't gotten a chance to set everything up again. Will check it out tonight.
So are you saying you got the right analog stick to map properly at some point with N64oid?
I've tried everything I can and the right analog stick, even though mapped as Z and ZR as opposed to X and Y which are pretty much the same as DPAD commands, still registers the same as the left one and the dpad buttons.
It's driving me nuts, because the right analog stick is what I would prefer to have as my C buttons.

I played with it some more over the weekend with an updated Sixaxis app and I'm still having the same issue: I either have a left stick with working analog but no right stick, or I have both sticks working but they're only digital.
If I set Sixaxis to "Gamepad" it uses the ICS native gamepad ability, which doesn't detect the right stick.
If I set it to Keyboard Emulation it can only map digital inputs but it detects both sticks.
I have no idea, I'll email the Sixaxis team later and see if they know how to fix it.
Any idea what the keycode for the rumblepak on a dualshock 3 controller is?

The way i would like to map my n64oid controller is left analog to move, dpad as dpad and right analog as c- buttons..
can someone help me with that, im also rooted with sixaxis but also have a usbport!
Once your controller is properly connected with the Sixaxis Controller app:
1) In the Sixaxis Controller app go to settings button, preferences, gamepad settings, and check off "enable gamepad."
2) set Sixaxis Controller as the Default IME (Aka default input method). go to the android settings app, Language and input, change the Default IME to Sixaxis controller. Keep in mind that if you want to type something the keyboard won't show up until you change the Default IME back to android keyboard. If you tap on a text box there will be a keyboard icon in your notification tray or status bar with which you can quickly change the default IME back to android keyboard without navigating to settings.
The controller should now work with dual analog sport! You might need to change mappings from app to app... for me the Mupen64 n64 emulator works great with dual analog support. (Originally it didn't work and when looking for help that's how I found this post )
Relatively new prime owner here and I just purchased the dock from best buy.
Is there any way I can use the arrow keys or WASD on the keyboard and map them to the controls of a game in an emulator or really any game with controller support?
Some of the joystick apps have means to map keyboard input to on-screen button presses. I know USB/BT Joystick does this, and I think the Sixaxis does too.
Sixaxis app works great for syncing your ps3 controller up..

USB/BT Joystick center works good to play games with keyboard
Play Modern Combat with Mouse & Keyboard
Asus Prime & Tapatalk
some games like shadowgun you can set keyboard keys for actions as if it were a computer game. More and more games are doing this because lots of people use apps like sixaxis to pair bluetooth controllers or keyboards to phones to play games.
And i would go with sixaxis personally, you can set regions of the screen to press, swype actions, its pretty awesome stuff (tho you need root for most of em)

Yes, ASUS has done this for many years on all their laptop keyboards. It's to help you identify certain important keys when in low light conditions. It makes those keys stand out from the others.
That is to say, there aren't any shortcuts to be found. It isn't a secret and there's nothing cryptic about it. Just a quick way to get oriented when the only light in the room is the screen, which is on minimum brightness.

You need to buy sixaxis controller app from the play store. FIFA doesn't directly support the controller, so you'll have to set up touch emulation. Let me know if you need help with that, it is pretty straightforward, take a screenshot of the game and assign keys on the controller for different areas.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way around it. What I did is use a screen video recorder to record the screen and then take a screenshot of that. I don't have mine anymore so I can't share.
And you're right, there is no way to get full functionality of the skills buttons because of how they are setup. You can still get partial functionality by setting up sixaxis to emulate swipes in that area of the screen. Not a perfect solution, but I didn't miss the skill moves much anyway.
