Hi everybody, just got my hd2 and it's a french version of wm, it's 3.14.163.3 (SFR), when i try to downgrade it with the RUU file 1.66.406.1 (french version 1.66), the program stops and tells me to verify the version of the rom...
So im wandering how can i downgrade to 1.66 so that i can have the lower spl version for installing NAND android. Any help?
I have read some threads and im trying to find a version 1.66.163.x to fit my phone but cant find it !....
No need to downgrade anymore, hspl4.

Hi I upgraded to WM latest ROM from the hermes download page. I have a vario 2 and have had a look throught the posts. I do not know what version I had before and now when I got into it on the os it doesnt show me a radio version also no imei. I can get into bootloader version is 1.09 and I have tried the v3 unlocker to no avail please help!!!!

PLs read the Wiki.There is a solution...but I guess u will need bootloader 1.04.

I'm now running the original but updatet T-Mobile version but i'd like to upgrade to WM6. unless it's her in german i'd like to have a possibility to downgrade again!
Can i just flash the old t-mobile files if i'm mad of rading english all day long??
Or will i need special rom to reflash WM5??

I'm now in TouchFlo 2.1 and i want back to wm 5.0 but i try the two uk rom,s and i get errors like ,you can't run this nbf ,try a newer one or update utility not for this device.What should i do???

I used the german AKU3.3 ROM and it showed 'Upgrade from V4.0.0.0 to V3.3.0.0'.
Maybe you have used an old AKU2.x ROM to downgrade?
And... try downgrading in bootloader mode (hold tape button while soft-reset until colored bars are shown, but you need different active-sync drivers for bootloader mode)

I succed to downdrade to germab t-mobile rom but i need a wwe rom ,i'm not familiar with german language,and the uk roms just don,t work .update error.
Once you upgraded to AKU 3.3 you cant go back to AKU2. The only thing that could help is flashing the prophet rom but it can be dangerous. Search the prophet section if you want to do it.

I was upgraded my Prophet to WM6 b4 version,
and I want to downgrade my phone to WM5 Asia version now.
But the process is terminated at 95%.
I think that there maybe SPL version problem. The version number of SPL is 2.15.0000 before, and now is 2.20.0000
Is it possible to making a custom asia rom (nk.nbf) with SPL version 2.20.0000 by myself?
Anybody can tell me how to getting start and what's the tool I need to have?

Hello all, sorry if this has been addressed before but I couldnt find it if it has. I have a Qtek s200 that I got 2nd hand. I was able to successfully downgrade to WM5 for unlocking purposes without any problems. I am currently running WM5 v.2.20.7.36 ESN and would like to know how to update to the latest version of WM5. REason being is alot of the programs I download for WM5 say they are not compatible with my current version and I should update to the latest WM5. Thanks for any help,

I have the 3.14 ROM with 3.03.000 SPL installed on my HD2
What I`m trying to do is Install NAND Android. But to do this I need HSPL 2.08.
I read through a lot of Forums indicating that this can only be done if you flash an older ROM to phone, hence overwriting the 3.03 SPL.
Tried downloading one of the older stock roms (1.66 and 1.48) and then attemped to flash via SD and through the .exe file directly.
Heres what happened:

From the .exe file it boots to the tri color screen and then reaches the progress bar screen. However it sticks there and the errors out with a code : 294.
At first I thought it could be an incorrect ROM but I doublechecked it.
Through the SD method after the phone detects the .nbh file it comes back with a "28002 : Not allow" error message.
Have tried this with various types of Mem cards but no luck.
I then tried SSPL with 1.66 and 1.48 as the ROM and i got it to flash the ROM with no problems but the HSPL still sticks at 3.03. And thats expected since SSPL is like a one shot go at flashing a ROM different from your region.
Question : Since this isnt working, will a task 29 help in this case? From what I understand it formats the filesystem that holds the OS. By doing so, will I then be able to flash one of the older Roms so I can install HSPL 2.08? Not sure if this will actually help.

simple, you're using the wrong rom. It isnt just any stock rom, its a stock rom that is correct for your phone you need. so for example if its locked to orange france, you would need the orange FRA rom, if the phone came from o2 uk its the WWE O2 UK rom you need.
dont be confused by a phone that has been sim unlocked, it would still be rom locked.

Just did this yesterday.
All you have to do is check the version installed.
Mine was 3.14.479.2 which is Eastern Europe.
So i downloaded the 1.66.479.2 and flashed.this flashed the 1.48 spl..
So problem solved.
forgot to mention the 3.14 it the rom version.the rest is region specific : in my case 479.2 means eastern europe.This is important.
Fox example i tried to flash WWE:1.66.405.2 (France Bouygues) but no luck. 0% and then error.
same problem - may be we need HSPL for SPL 3.03.0000
I experienced the same problem. may be we need HSPL for 3.03, or it is already available - i dont know....
Can anybody reply / answer / help us all who are having 3.03 and want to run NAND Android on their device ? ? ?

Problem can easily be solved by installing the correct previous stock rom.
For example if you have now the 3.14.405.x stock rom you need to use previous version 1.66.405.x Red numbers need to be the same.

My HD2 is a Orange one, currently on ROM 3.14.61.2 (04666) WWE, and im trying to downgrade it...
however i cant for the life of me find a rom that will work on this phone, i need something like 1.66.61.2
is there an obvious way around this??

Ahh, dont worry i have got it working now!!
look like i had an iffy usb cable which was stopping HSPL4 from connecting correctly.
All sorted and WP7 now running, though after all that i dont think i like it!!!
