I'm using XAV v1.3, and there seems to be a bug with the LP Calendar widget. All my events, are shifted ahead by one day on the display. ie. Event is on the 25th, it's showing on the calendar as 26th. If I load the default Calendar app, it's showing up fine. Is anybody else experiencing this issue?
that would be a bug with the LP .8.3 app then?
i've used LP before, but never had this bug
maybe try an older version?

Yeah, it only recently started to happen. I had events up to March 10th, and they show correctly on the calendar. My March 13th event was messed up though. It added markers to 13 and 14. All events after that are shifted by one day.

I've been having a lot of issues with Genie Widget (running on Miui). 90% of the time when I open the News & Weather app, it will say "Sorry, weather currently unavailable." and refreshing it will give me the same message. This is a problem because the weather will rarely show up on my Miui lockscreen. I've noticed if I re-enter my set location again (not using GPS), it will sometimes work and bring back weather but it will return to the same "Sorry, weather currently unavailable." message shortly after.
Anyone else having this persistent issue and know of any fix?
All I can say is using several other Roms (Superclean3 and Geewiz etc...) I have been having the same issue for weeks now and can not seem to figure out what may be causing the problem.
I was having the same Issues until I switch my radio I was on dl9 switch to e09 and worked for me you could try that. Or switch to any radio
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
hmm I'm already on e09 but maybe I'll try reflashing it
I have tried several radio files and does not make a diff since I switched to a GB Mod. For what ever reason for me Genie does not want o play well anymore.
I'm bumbing this because out of the blue both my ray and sgs2 are currently not able to show the weather and it's been working fine since I got the phones.
Ray is running a aosp version ontop of a semc build and the sgs2 is running paranoid (cm9).
I think it's odd that both phones got the same issue and it's been like this a couple of days now
Unhappy with Samsung's stock ICS version, I moved on to a CyanogenMod9 nightly build for my SGS2 - an admittedly risky thing to do on April 1st - which proves fantastically stable and fast.
However, when I installed the Facebook app (painstakingly: I'm in China), I found that the option to sync and merge contacts is gone. From the app, but also from the Accounts and Sync option in Android's settings. It still says "Facebook" under the accounts that I can add, but nothing happens when tapped.
I wiped and re-installed everything, but to no avail. The setting is no longer there and I cannot sync my Facebook contact details with my existing contact list.
Any ideas what I can do about this?
Having the same issue, with the Galaxy S2 on a nightly 9
Facebook must update their API.

so it's a matter of waiting? Is this a new thing in Android 4.04 or does it relate to cm9?
Stumbled here after noticing the same thing on my Photon with Jokersax CM9 Kang (Android 4.0.4) installed. As its my first Photon custom ROM I can't say its a CM9 thing or a 4.0.4 thing.
It does work ok on my Epic 4G Touch with Samsung FC24 leak which is 4.0.3 and NOT CM9.
I'm on 4.0.4 (CM9) and it is not working for me either. The only workaround I know of is using the app "HaxSync," which syncs the contacts for you.

This option was removed from android AOSP by default due to Google not agreeing with FB privacy policy. The only way is to use an app to do it. It is not a Samsung ICS issue it is an Android AOSP thing.
Not sure if that is true since it is still working on AOKP's last buid (4.0.4)

See AOKP is not pure AOSP.
Here is a link that began talking about this way back on 2.3.3

yeah - it's a Facebook v Google thing, not a software fault.
Friendcaster fixes it for you.
Is there any more info on this issue? Or is it never going to be resolved due to Google / Facebook differences. Find it amusing that Google have problems with Facebook's privacy given ether recent changes Google have made
Ah
Had the same problem. Uninstall and reinstall fixed it. It doesn't care for restores from backups evidently.

Been having similar problems on Jellybean for HTC DESIRE HD. Thanks for the tip. Friendcaster, indeed, does fix the problem and is quite a nice FB app in its own right!
This one works fine on ICS and JB. You can choose pic sizes up to 720x720.
does this Friendcaster application syncs numbers ? or just photos ?
You can always use a modified ContactsProvider.apk to allow facebook sync.

That's normal when You don't use stock based ROM.
Just download app called SYNC.ME from market or use app "contactive".
This might be a remedial question but xda search is down. The calendar sync option is missing in settings (email and contacts are there). Calendar app is installed. I reloaded my account twice and the same issue is occurring on the harmony and smoother jb roms. There was a gapps fix last year of sure if that is applicable anyone have any ideas? Also how does one get google now to recognize the location settings permit location sharing? The g tablet now lives on the wall by the front door, simple dream of seeing my calendar the weather notifications and traffic on the way out the door.
Thanks in advance!
Anyone got any ideas?

Here is nobe1976's response related to Google Calendar Sync from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1900562&page=95
GoogleCalendarsync.apk is not installed along with the Calender app itself. Unzip any gapps for jellybean and you can install them manually by placing the app into /system/apps followed by a reboot right after.
Hope this helps
"Sorry for the late reply but check out the 2nd post here 2nd Post.
As for the battery icon that is normal on all ICS and JB builds. It is not in the Android System, but in the current kernel we are using. Wiping Battery Stats will not help it. There are actually some people that have there icons stay at 100% and some that stay at 0%. Those are just a handfull of devices we are aware of there might be more. Hopfully all that will change with a new boot.img update as soon as it gets released by fosser2."
Herewith quoting nobe1976's latest note related to the issue.

I'm running dastin's latest 10.1 (16th), I'm on the virgin version, and after the March 6th update I noticed instead of my dates reading Monday, March 17th, it now reads 1 3 17...like just the numbers. I know that it's day of week, month, day, but it's annoying that it changed. I didn't notice anyone in the forum thread with this issue, so I wonder if it's something I did in settings.
This is in the notification menu, gcal app, and everywhere that the android system date is used. All of the settings I believe weren't changed, I haven't tried a clean flash but I hope there is something easy I'm missing to correct this issue. Did some searchs on google and this forum and couldn't find anyone else with this problem!
Thank you for the help!

When you go to settings in the SYSTEM section there is a DATE & TIME option. At the bottom there should be date format which you can select whatever. See if that fixes you up.
My wife has been using her Z5 compact for a while now and thinks its a very nice phone (pfew ). But since the MM update she lost the "unread" indicator in app-icons, you know the number near the app icon like facebook, email, whatsapp, etc. Before MM this was working just fine, after MM it stopped. Anyone have a clue why that is?
I heard that a custom launcher could possibly fix this issue, but why was it working before MM.
Another issue, on my Z5 (not compact) when I go to calendar view, when I'm in month-view, I see a small dot at every date that has an event. My phone is still LP though (apparently my region is like one of the last getting the update). But my wife doesn't see the dots in month view, before I start searching for another calendar app, does anyone have a clue about this one?
Any help would be great
