Restore one of your old Nandroid backups that has the Market Fix app and save the .apk (for the market fix app) out of /data/apps to your SD card.
Then restore your (Nandroid backup of) KGBV8 and install the market fix .apk using a file manager.
Easy-Peasy.

[Q] How to backup preinstalled app which is not free

dear all,
For several month, i used to be with custom rom. but I need some pre installed app whick is not free like roadsync (it has beautifull interface, and a lot of feature). how do i get it?
i have tried back it up with titanium backup, but it can't restore in custom room. the restore botton is missing
thx if any solution for this
i can't say that you can get this one back.....but for future i will suggest to use
My Phone Explorer(specially designed for SE,Wi-Fi enabled)....which will have the feature for backup-ing and restoring the .akp files from your phone with the help of Wi_fi
where I can get it?
Just move roadsync.apk from /system/app to /data/app, then you can use titanium and make your backup

Still Fail
if you have root explorer, just go to /system/app/ and select the apk you want to back-up and copy it to your sdcard. you can also use Astro file explorer to do that, but you can not move it back to /system/app using astro. (although using root explorer, you can do so).
EDIT: even if you can extract the apk, if you are going to use it in a custom rom, there is no assurance that it will work. but yes, you can try

[Q] How to remove titanium backup and kernel manager lite from bamf 1.6.2?

Whenever I start titanium backup, my thunderbolt freezes. I have wiped several times all with the same result. Also I have the paid versions of these apps so I would like to use those instead. I have also tried to use the bamf toolkit to remove titanium backup and that cause the phone to freeze add well.

Going into settings > applications > manage apps, does it freeze if you try to remove it that way?
There is not an option to uninstall. The button is grayed out. I think it is installed as a system application. Since I can't post in the das bamf thread, I have to post here hoping that there is a flash I can do or some other app on the market place that can uninstall system apps.

anyone have any thoughts on this? i'm still trying to update the free version of titanium backup with the premium version. in bamf1.63
You can delete the .apk for each file located in /system/app using root explorer or a file manager with root permissions. Since these were installed as system apps, they can't be uninstalled from the regular settings>manage apps menu, but you can delete with Root explorer.
I have deleted kernel manager this way - my pro key with titanium works with the system version, so I haven't deleted that.

Did you delete or move the apk? Reason I ask is that I moved it to my SD card (in case it caused issues) and realized that I wasn't hitting R/W in the upper corner, so it wasn't actually removing it, just copying the file in read-only mode.

You are a genius. I was in read only mode and the app I am using never warned me. I am using super manager. You have to set root permissions in the apps configuration.

OK... So I was able to remove titanium backup.
Now, I have the same problem with it from the market. Seems like a bamf issue and not an app issue.

DLNA application

I'm currently running Eclipse 0.2.2 and am trying to reinstall the dlna application that came with the phone, but can't (using my titanium backup er... Backup). Are there any alternative apps that do the same thing, or is there a way to reinstall the stock dlna app? Thanks.
(I've tried a couple from the market but none of them can find my Tversity server)

Go here http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x2-hacks/27237-droid-x2-system-dump.html
Download the system dump zip.
Go into zip using root explorer( if I don't have it I recommend buying it its worth it)
go to system folder
go to app folder
Extract all DLNA apks and odex(s)
Go to extracted folder and select the files u just extracted
Move them to your system/app folder after u mount system as r/w using burton on top of root explorer screen.
Remount as r/o then reboot..it should be available now.
good luck
This should also work for other apks. I have been looking for a gingerbread dump if anyone could post that that would be great although I have had no problems installing any of these apks I've tried. Did the music camera toggle widgets etc and all worked no problems.
I will get you guys some of the stock apps and zip them up so they can be flashed.
