Has anyone been able to pull of Gingerbread screen off animation?

so yeah.....i don't really care about gingerbread, but i would like this animation.....if CM7 has it, i would imagine it could be extracted and flashed??
can someone out there look at CM7's code and find this, and make it flashable/metamorphed??
i've already searched it, and just seems like no one is really working towards it.....

CM7 has it because it is Gingerbread.
Ehh: Wrong section
Answer: Nope
Offtopic: Like Cookies?
It's impossible to get that animation on froyo

I've always wondered why you can't just re-bind the power button to a simple app that displays that animation. Anyone know the answer?

I think it had something to do with voltage and stuff. It was complicated
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
its built into the display driver within the kernel. Can't be ported

Galaxy s II wallpapers

can someone post the original wallpapers from the galaxy s 2, pleasE? or link me?
I'm also interested in this.
I had to do emergency recovery on my phone when upgrading the firmware and in the process I lost some wallpapers, sounds etc.
When you do a factory reset you don't get all the wallpapers, sounds as when the phone is brand new in the box. I wonder what I'm missing?
There are a few free wallpaper apps on Market. I have a couple installed and they have some decent backgrounds.
Thanks but i want the ones that comes in the phone

Thanks for those - they were on the SGS II I played with on o2, however did not come on my phone from o2?! Only got a few...
Thank you, I've been looking for these yesterday afternoon !

Check this out!!!!

I was digging for new themes for our JVP/JVQ GB Roms and found this.... I'm going to be trying these ASAP
Note that these themes are NOT GUARANTEED to Work on all roms,,, Flash at your own risk. Naturally make backups

Good find, thanks.
I believe the themes have to have the same number of lockscreens to work on our vibrants.

I have heard this also... I just flashed the deep purple theme and all worked well except the phone app was gone for some reason.... it only had 5 lock screens though... mine had 9 originally
It will work fine unless you chose a lockscreen that you don't have coding for, then you've just bought a ticket to bootloop city

can you elaborate on that? I flashed the LEGEND X theme and I got in a boot loop. i had the puzzle lockscreen on before the flash
I have no idea how to check for this before hand but say if you were on the puzzle lockscreen and then you flash a theme that edits some .xmls then you might have a situation where the lockscreen is looking for an .xml that doesn't work it anymore (or maybe is completely missing) and BAM your phones figurative brain explodes and sends you into bootloops. That's my understanding anyways so anybody feel free to correct me.

I think everyone that tries one needs to report back if everything worked or not and we need to start a list of which ones actually work for us.
I would use the standard android lockscreen since its in pretty much all themes and roms. To avoid possible bootloops or worse.

that's what I've been going for as well. Great idea. So far the deep purple one worked for SH 4.0... It looked nice but the phone app was gone for some reason. And the legend x one put me in a boot loop.

Notification TOP Menu/BAR/Popout

Hello I saw on a friend's phone (LG Optimus, Android 2.3.7 based rom) a special notification menu (the one you activate by sliding from top to bottom): it was white and composed of 2 parts, one for notifications and the other window/part for switches (like wifi, gps, sound...). Have you got any idea what was named and if there is a possibility to install on my ACE? (stock based 2.3.6 ROM) It was awesome and it will help me a lot
Thanks a lot!

or this??
from HTC sensation and HTC Droid Incredible
UOT Kitchen has got this feature, but in CM 7,2 isnt this menu style...

Nope. Miui won't run on HTC Hero which has ARMv6 CPU. It's just really heavily themed CM7
I'm gonna try replacing some apks on CM 7.2 and/or 7.1 on my Ace tomorrow. ;-)

Edit 19:32 (GMT+1), 03.02.2012:
LiGux settings apk works fine when installed as normal apk (pushing it to /system/app/ should also work) but it just has links to Android's Settings.apk
Replacing SystemUI.apk/CMParts.apk/framework-res.apk/framework.jar (CM7.2 RC0 upd. 23.01) makes phone not bootable or breaks statusbar. I don't have any idea why (because I'm not into making android apps and porting them ). BUT if someone knows how it shouldn't be difficult to port since LiGux is also a CM7.2 build.
The better solution for ur question is UOT kitchen... U can check the status bar section and move to quick settings tab.. I never tested it.. Hope it might work...
