Can you give the modifications you've made, the github/repo or where we can find them to respect the GPL.

When we are sure it works properly, is in testing phase

Hum yeah but if you share your code people here can help you too, like GPL wants.
Thanks for your work.

No problem but will share when we see that it works

Please try to post the source dude, at least that way we can see if you're on the right track or not....
Community is what development is all about....
Is this based off cyanogen's attempts to fix the wonk or did you find your own independent solution?
FWIW I agree, regardless of what's been changed, since the kernel is licensed under the GPL you will need to provide source in some form....
Sounds a little sketchy to be claiming to have a solution without showing anyone what it is.... #justsayin....

This is not a request, it's required.

Ok no problem and do not know if it works or not and I see that you are all very correct when you know for sure that works will hang in the code, and if a modification own i2c bus. In the SuperAosp is functioning without problems, just wanted to share what had changed, but not before we know it works.
I return to Spain without problems
Thank you very much to all
Again when you know you'll share the code works not before, because many times I've spent many developers code and never say anything or even through
At a forum do not require people who work non-profit
good bye

Since you are reporting that it doesn't work, I am closing this thread. If you believe that it does in fact work, send me a private message, and we'll talk about opening it as long as you agree to abide by GPL and post the source.
Thanks.

Trust

Hi, this is my first post. I hope it doesn't come off the wrong way.
I am extremely grateful for the time and effort put into all of these ROMs and the original gaining of root access on the Eris. But part of me has been wondering... what's to stop a developer/cook from including some kind of script inside their ROM which will give them access to peoples personal information and passwords? How can the general public know that we can trust all of you?
Now, I must stress that I am not accusing anyone of malicious intent. However, I do think that it's a valid concern.
I was looking for a specific .apk the other day and did a google. After much digging I found it, but wasn't too comfortable with the site where it was located. Just didn't download it/install it.
As far as the ROMs here. I lurked and posted and visited the IRC to get a feel for those doing the hard work. Got a comfort level with them and have been ROMing like a mad fool since. Hell, my ex got my bank account so there ain't nothing there to take.
To each their own comfort level.
ahorriblemess, there is no way for you to truly know that none of the ROM cooks are putting anything malicious in their ROMs.
This community is based around trust though, and if a dev. put some malicious crap in their ROM it would be found and taken down.
I have been working with most of the devs since before we had root and I would trust them.
I kind of figured that... if someone was to include a malicious script or something that it would be found relatively quickly and they would alert everyone.
I was just curious. Thanks.
have faith in the community. Strength through unity, unity through strength!

[Q] [APP REQ] Developers req'd {Boggle-like Clone}

hi all...
i'm looking for someone to build a clone of the word-game boggle. I'd like to work with a developer to create this app. I' am happy to fund this project and work out any arrangement which would be in the developers best interest.
in the iphone it is called wurddle (http://semisecretsoftware.com/wurdle/), it is probably the best boggle clone out currently. there are several apps out for winmo (Wordly, Scramble, etc) but they are all rubbish; actually, Wordly is very good except that the developer didnt pay attention to several important factors( the algorithim for letter distribution is not thought out, so you can never make any real words due to the consonant-vowel distribution).
i am an avid word game enthusiast and would like to build this to proper specs (most updated dictionary, various dictionary options, 5x5 and 4x4 optionality, proper letter algorithim, i could go on....)
please note i am not looking to steal anyones work nor am i requesting warez. i would like to build this from the ground up and incur whatever costs are necessary to do so.
i am not super rich but i can afford to fund this to a degree, perhaps fully. mostly because it is killing me that the iphone has this app and my awesome hd2 has junk. i've attached a few pictures of wurdle, wordly, and actual boggle to give you an idea of what im looking for.
let's create something great!
thanks all,
jason

Hmm...This seems like a rather interesting project. I could take this on! I'm not the best dev out there, but this would def. serve as a great learning block for me, and I could definitely get it done. I just need the ideas and how you want it to look/work, and I can do the rest

Yes, like the idea of the program, You need a dictionairy for every language you create it in.
This will be one of the best game with a very good learning effect for mom and da for her childs . And for the game freaks under us ...
I can help you with the development if needed but actually I would like a program like this:
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Countdown_(game_show)
Does it already exist too?
i would play this game all day, looking forward to it.

that's a good sample, but there is no trail version. So it is not the solution to see how it works or do some tests before pay. I think in this case we must find out the wheel a second time .

actually that game sucks. i bought it, like many others. they all suck. there is at least one inherintly wrong thing in every single one of these boggle clones that make it nauseating for me to play. it has the right idea but clearly no developer understands how to create a great, realistic boggle app; which is why i have decided to step in and do this myself.
that game show thing looks pretty cool actually.

Could you make a little storyboard what functions, actions, options this program should have. I'm interested in the development but don't know for sure what should be in or out.

Good diagram program

Anyone try any of the diagram programs out there?
I'm currently testing out Dianoid Lite (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...developer&rdid=com.welant.dianoid.lite&rdot=1) and with the exception that it doesn't export to Visio, it's ok. Has anyone tried any of the others like Smart Diagram (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...oid.DiagramMaker.corepro&feature=related_apps) or the others?

An unfortunate and condescending response considering that a that good part of this site is APKs redistributed or modified without permission in ROMs or for those in regions arbitrarily without access to the latest and greatest apps.
Thankfully I know how to look up modifying my build.props to get it installed, I was just hoping to avoid the hassle by finding someone helpful out there.
I guess that as is increasingly the case one will have to go and help themselves.

DigitalMD’s response was the correct one. There was nothing unfortunate or condescending about it.
He went to the trouble to locate the author’s web page in an effort to help you.
As far as developers incorporating apks in their roms, all of them secure permissions before using someone else’s work

If you expect people to break rules and pirate stuff because you are too lazy, then Yeah off you go.
Impressive ...
I posted a response to the accusations to piracy and laziness, and a suggestion that maybe the reason why many users are here is to run unsupported stuff on their phone. I also stated that to suggest that all those HTC/Sony/Sammy variant ROMs are done with the full permission of the manufactures is also patently false.
My post got deleted and I have 6 months of infraction points ...
XDA really has gone down the toilet.
Anyway, the important piece of information that I posted is that DroidDia runs fine on at least two unsupported devices (Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note) ... I extracted the APK from a Nexus One and installed directly.
Feel free to abuse me again for as long as this post remains ...
As apparently it is OK
Not that I expect this post to last much longer than the last one
Hmm.. interesting debate you guys are having in here. Here is how this is supposed to work:
MaxJavi, believe it or not, is not in fact asking for warez at all since the app is free (just restricted in its distribution due to Market's policies). Reposting the apk needs to be done with the developer's permissions but as it is not a paid app nor does it use any kind of licensing model such as Swype, it should be ok to post under our rules (of course, unless the IP owner complaints, in which case it has to be taken down).
On the other side of the coin, the answer provided to him was neither wrong, unfortunate, or condescending. It was in fact 100% correct. @MaxJavi, you were provided with the correct answer and your response to a helpful post (not too many of these around these days) was far more condescending, inflammatory, and filled with disdain than what you claim the other response was. A simple "thanks for the response" even if it would have meant for you to have to go to Google for 15 seconds to find the apk or ask the dev if you could have it would have been the correct venue. The infraction that you received was for the attitude you had towards someone simply taking the time to reply to you in a courteous manner, who even went as far as searching for the company in Google and posting a link for you to contact them.
I hope the OP doesn't mind, but I am closing this thread now as answers have been provided.
Thread closed.

[Q] Display colour quality?

Hello everyone.
First of all, I don't even know if this question is noobish or not, but I just can't solve this "problem" (or not?)
So, the thing is, I don't like color "fading" on my GS3 display. I see layers that fade out one below eachother, and it is deffinitely not right. For example when I start some app like Solid Explorer, the second before the main page loads I see these annoying "layers". And also on any image where the color has to fade out into another color, it is also noticable. Then, as I guessed, it depends on kernel.
As I said, I don't know what kind of question is this ) and I don't know if someone knows about that but still, do you know something about that?
PS. I attached a screenshot of solid explorer before it loads the main page so that you could know what I'm talking about.
Thank you in advance

Thats the thing. No one can tell you what one will work for your device as each and every device is different. So you will have to test them out.
As for the language. The whole GD is not needed. While I dont really care this is a world wide forum and we need to respect everyone.

As I understand, the part of the main aims of this website is to share our experiences about different devices. So, there is a big chance, that someone has had a problem like me, this is why I asked? Why are you so aggressive towards me?
In addition, I am not from USA/UK and I'm not native English speaker, but this "GD" thing I hear everywhere, so I didn't know it is that "big deal", specially, when I do not offend anyone.
Anyway, if you don't have any suggestions, you should just leave and put your hating anywhere else.

Ok first you may want to rethink how you come off to a moderator of this forum. I was not aggressive in anyway. If I see anyone use that term they are told the same thing.
Now someone may have had the same issue but what worked for them may not work for you. That is why you were told to try out other kernels.
This is a developers forum not a support site. Most things here will always have a bug or two as we enjoy trying things out and breaking things to see if we can fix it.

[INDEX] Looking for a developer?

[INDEX] Looking for a developer?
Recently, there have been a lot of threads which had the purpose to find developers for the thread starters' projects.
Additionally, you often see people posting their app ideas which is great for developers who are looking for new projects.
To reduce the amount of those threads and to have one place where developers can look for ideas/jobs, I created this thread in collaboration with @QuantumFoam.
Feel free to post your app ideas here or to post if you look for a developer to create an app. It does not matter whether it is a paid or a non-paid job.
Additionally, there will be a list of developers you can contact via PM if you want them to build an app for you.
If you are a developer, send me a PM with a link to your profile. I will add you to the list.
The list of devs:
QuantumFoam
ACdev

What is the best way to go about paying developers found on here? I just want to make sure I have all my hens lined up to prevent any complications. I am sure each person will be different, but is there a typical "norm," such as PayPal/Cashier's Check/Bitcoins/Etc?
I know some of the paying sources require a few hoops to jump through, so if there is an odd ball one that the majority use, I just want to make sure it is setup before I go looking for developers!
Thank you.

You could also use gift cards (e.g. Amazon).
It is up to you.
I need an app...a utility I guess you would call it...definitely a groundbreaker
I have an app that I want created, it has a very specific function and will be very useful. It will require knowledge of roms, NV writing, and OTA programming. I have a very planned workflow, and a virtually limitless hardware supply for testing various handsets. This could potentially be a great earner, and I'm also prepared to throw some cash at the project to get someone interested. If any of you feel like you fit that bill, get in touch with me and let's get serious...this app is needed MONTHS AGO and will continue to be needed for a long time & could grow exponentially. If anyone is interested, let's talk & get in business.
Reverse Engineer Instapray app

If someone can do it please message PM me or by gmail: kasidisaueb gmail com

The next one in the row :fingers-crossed:
Like the topic said, also I am looking for a developer or simply a programmer.
I would prefer someone who acts more as a partner, than someone recruited for money.
I would prefer someone who isn't totally interested in profit. If there is any, we share it 50:50. So I want someone who does it for fun (because I don't believe the revenue would be higher than a few bucks. But perhaps ...).
As an alternative, a student who is satisfied with a very low salary for a few hours could be recruited, but without participation on later revenues.
I will provide the idea, a mockup, a working concept, the graphics, the trade licence and a contract (as a protection for further revenues of two unfamiliar people).
Because I don't have much experience in app development and marketing I am looking for someone, as stated above, who wants to be a partner and isn't interested only in profit.
Perfect would be someone german.
The skill requirements are very low. Only some database knowledge. Perhaps some knowledge about plotting graphs and network synchronisation as a special feature for the app.
Interested? PM me :highfive:
