Ok this is a silly question but I downloaded and unzipped a font file for the Vibrant using file explorer. I extracted the fonts but don't know where they go to use them on my phone.
What folder do I need to put them in?

I have Root Explorer installed on my phone, but I get file not supported on this device error messages when I try to download zip files. Any idea why I can't do this with this files manager but I can with other file managers?

Maybe its not a supported feature? Astro and Linda have the ability. .. or maybe there is an option to enable it?

It has the ability to create and extract zip files, but I didn't know if it was a matter of having to create an extension or whatever to allow the phone to download zip files. I am using AndroZip until then.

Tryy Using ACS 1.2.3T...That Thing Have Many Of The apps for Vibrants...links are some where in Xda..or look for it on google...its pretty good...any problem with it...ask me
Just download any vibrant rom and extract it on your pc. Once extracted you can find the apk files in the system/app folder. Copy the apk files onto your phone then use Root Explorer from the market to put the apk files in the system/app folder on your phone. Then reboot and you are good to go.

I have searched the Market and Google but cannot find the app I need.
Basically, I am looking for an app where I can put files and folders into a zip or rar file, and password protect them.
Does anyone know of such an app?
Thanks

Haven't used it for a long time but give a try to ES File Explorer.
Rot explorer will let you zip up files but I'm not sure about the password protect part.
Have you tried androzip?
Edit: I just checked and androzip will allow you to put a pw on zip files. Its free in the market as best as I can remember.

Why my phone don't read the bootanimation files zipped by me?
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium
Did you manually placed the zip folder in /system/media/ or tried to flash the zip folder through recovery mode ?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
I placed the original bootanimation.zip in system/media or in data/local. It works. If I unzip this file and zip them again the phone don't read this .zip.
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium
The bootanimation has to zipped in "store" form, and not"compress" form...
If you compress, it won't work...
Typed using a small touchscreen
How can I make a zip file without compression? I've zipped automatically with winzip or with Root Explorer.

Use a tool called Boot Animation Creator !
That's much easier
Cheers
Thank you. I've resolved all. With Root Explorer must create a tar archive without compression and rename the file .tar in bootanimation.zip
With winzip must before specified "none" on compression setting
Thank you again!

Sorry, with root explorer it's not possible. Erroneously I've placed another .zip.
But with winzip it's possible. I made a custom animation with a personal movie. It works great!

Having a problem with ICS Oficial. 587 and root.
I downloaded a few mod. This modes write to:
system\lib\soundfx
But it is a problem!
In this directory, but I can not copy some files. Delete (and its files) and create a folder SoundFX be OK.
Write/copy does not work. Not even install zip through CWM-Recovery.
Where is the problem? Can you help?

Download I sound mode. Needs to write eg:
system\lib\SoundFX
In this directory, but I can not copy it. If you delete an application system\app
SemcMusik, SemcVisualiser and copying work.
Then NOT work back then copied by SemcMusik, SemcVisualiser to system\app
I tried to test create installation ZIP and make install-over CWM Recovery.
Not working: (
Install APK classic OK. But I do not see in system\app
