Looks very useful for those of us that are constantly flashing back and forth as well as the novice user.
Will try it out and post my results/feedback.

Really cool

Nice work will give it a try

Just tried 2 of the Recovery's and flashed OK so great work nice to have them all in one place

Wish had something like this for mac

Don't see why it cannot be converted for a mac

Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA Premium App

Nice work brother.
Cheers!!!

i vote for mac version as well if you could please.

I love the practicality of this tool but when I unzip this file my AVG antivirus goes crazy on MultiRecoveryFlasher.exe reporting that a threat has been detected: Trojan horse Generic21.sca. Any idea why?

Thank you for sharing.

I don't get a warning on v0.2 but do on v 0.3.
The earlier version uses a batch file which can be easily read. the 0.3 version uses a .exe file which can not be easily read and this is the file that gives the trojan warning. Perhaps the author can share the reason for the switch to the exe and explain the warning?

Here is new X10flash for Firmware 2.1 Version (old 1.6 Firmware can not be flashed with this at the moment).
Windows 7/Vista Users should diasable UAC!!
Download Flasher: (Update 14.11.2010) GUI VERSION!!!

You will see that there is a new Folder "firmware" the firmware files must be inside this folder!
Download Firmware:

Put the extracted files into the new "firmware" Folder and run the X10flash.bat
SO-01:
http://www.multiupload.com/E3C7FRFAQ9 DOCOMO (thanks to indigomode)
You have to wipe your USERDATA !! This is important, otherwise you will enter Bootloops etc.
Also be sure SEUS is NOT running! (But at least it should have detected your phone once)
THIS FIRMWARE IS ONLY FOR X10 NOT FOR MINI (PRO) or X8 !
But the flashtool should be capable of flashing all Xperia Series now!
If someone decrypts the Rom you can try it
Regards
Bin4ry
If you have more ROMS, just drop me a PN and i will add them to this post!

It's probably stated somewhere in the original thread, but see THIS for UAC and the flashtool for data.
strange when i plugged my phone in flash mode this time it says installing driver for semc usb flash but then it fails

Are you doing that before running the flashtool? If not do so, by running seus just past the point of putting it in to flash mode, then try again.

Have you tried starting windows in safe mode? I read somewhere in here that starting Windows in Safe mode will allow you to install the drivers without any problem.

Guide is in post 5 by DooMLoRD
i can provide u with the testing procedure....
for now just rename the thread to something meaningful like: "[EXPERIMENTAL] How-To for testing custom boot.img"
i will put a post here in some time...
please use this thread for queries regarding these steps...
use the Bootloader almost bypassed for general discussion...
and if u get some meaningful results please post it in Bootloader Cracking : Devs only with appropriate TAGS in the title of each post...
e.g.: MODEL NO. of device (X10i/X10a) | ROM NAME OR Build (like Stock SE FW 2.1.A.0.435) | BaseBand (2.1.54) | boot.img: (22.03.11-00_25 and try to provide link to the post from where u d/l the boot image)
I think the title should be "How-To for Testing Boot-loader bypass files" instead of "How-To for Testing Boot-loader cracking files" no?
[UPDATED: 23-03-2011 03:15 AM IST] Method (1) for testing
PLEASE MAKE A FULL XRECOVERY/NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE TRYING ANY SYSTEM MODIFICATIONS LIKE THIS
Additionally please make certain that u can use flashtool to flash a stock FW incase u run into any problems and that the device is fairly charged >50% battery before trying this.
It is advised that u use only stock FWs for this...
Following is a list of stock FWs and accompanying baseband
FIRMWARE ----- BASEBAND
2.1.1.A.0.16 ------ 2.1.58
2.1.1.A.0.6 ------ 2.1.55
2.1.A.0.435 ------ 2.1.54
2.0.2.A.0.24 ------ 2.0.49/2.0.52
2.0.A.0.504 ------ 2.0.46
thank you Androxyde for the latest FlashTool... now a lot of manual labor can be avoided
using the latest flashtool (beta v0.2.9.1) flash any of the FWs -> root -> ask root perms -> install recovery -> reboot the phone once
u need to do the following file copying only once:
(currently [23-03-2011 03:15 AM IST] the FlashTool beta v0.2.9.1 already comes with a set of custom kernel/bootkit files... so the following steps will be valid only if Bin4ry releases new files.... u DO NOT NEED THE FOLLOWING AS OF NOW)
<OLDINFO>
next download the kexec_kit_bin4ry3.zip and bootimg-22.03.2011-00_25h.zip
first extract the contents of kexec_kit_bin4ry3.zip and extract the files miniloader & splboot.ko from the bootkit directory into the <flashtoolroot>\custom\kernel\ directory
next extract the boot.img file from bootimg-22.03.2011-00_25h.zip and put it in <flashtoolroot>\custom\kernel\ directory
</OLDINFO>
[*] the custom boot.img provided in FlashTool beta v0.2.9.1 is the same as bootimg-22.03.2011-00_25h.zip [*]
now begins the actual installation of custom kernel/bootkit: (u will need to do this everytime u want to boot using the custom boot.img)
now with ur device booted up into the OS and attached via USB launch <flashtoolroot>\X10FlashTool.exe click Ask Root Perms -> Advanced -> Kernel -> Install bootkit check the progress of the execution of these commands in the main window of flashtool...
next click on Advanced -> Kernel -> Reboot custom Kernel and check the progress of the execution of these commands in the main window of flashtool...
if u have followed all these steps correctly ur phone should reboot and load the custom boot.img.. incase nothing happens u have made some problem in copying files recheck if all files were copied correctly and in the right place...
u should also try flashing only the basebands packages from the baseband collection by rendeiro2005
WHAT TO CHECK FOR:
whether the OS boots up properly after booting using custom boot.img
is the OS stable
can u get radio/wifi signal
check for the "Baseband Version" & "Kernel version" under Settings -> About Phone...
if u did everything correctly then under "Kernel version" it will come either "Unknown" or "2.6.29Bin4ry [email protected] #1"
if u keep seeing "Kernel version" as "2.6.29 [email protected] #1" then the custom boot.img was not launched at bootup...
report ur results in a systematic way like here, here and finally post the results in the Bootloader Cracking : Devs only thread
Updated: 23-03-2011 03:15 am ist

Flash/Change baseband with Linux only

Hi
I have the x10 mini pro
I'd like to use the new ROM but for that I need the 015 baseband not the 006.
I currently have build 2.0.A.0.504 installed and have the 2.1.1.A.6 sin files.
I dont have windows at home and the PC at work requires me to have admin rights to install the correct USB driver. So I can't use SEUS or flash tools.
I've done it before but I don't remember how I flashed the phone.
How can I flash the phone?
I have rooted that phone and have xRecovery installed and running, can I flash it with xrecovery?

if you have root just go to the *MINI ROM MANAGER* thread and get the qr code in you phone and download that(*you can also download to your pc and put the file in the sd-card and install*).
after install open and find the option to install CMW Recovery and thats it. Done
or
if you dont have root
you go to the market search for z4root(i think that's the correct name) install and now you have root
or
if the z4root dont work just download SuperOneClick(it dont need admin rights to root your device), plug the phone in the pc, them set usb debug option ON and select root on SuperOneClick
or
if you realy need the *xrec* you go to this thread* and download this thing and follow the instructions...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=951274
x'D all my sentenses begins with IF/OR x'D
My phone is rooted
I have xRecover running
With "mini rom manager" I can flash the device with the standard SE sin files I have and change the baseband version?
You're saying I just need "mini rom manager" copy the sin files I have to some directory on the sdcard and this changes the kernel.
This statment is correct "CWM recovery has the functionality to change the kernel version 1.6 <-> 2.1"
I think PTGamer mixes some things up... AFAIK you can't flash new baseband via ROMmanager...
I know Linux people don't like this but the easiest way to get your problem solved would be to run a windows emulator on your linux machine.
Massive waste of time. But has now been done
I have the standard SE 2.1 firmware with the correct baseband version
Now I just backup, wipe user data, install CM7 and restore, all via CWM?

OS: Ubuntu 10.04
Device: LG P509 (P500 = CM7) - General Inquiry.
Method: .../android-sdk-linux/platform-tools/$ ./adb ....(Hopefully)
See, I have the LG Optimus P509. In Win7 I was able to flash the kdz to downgrade/upgrade my radio baseband from v10E to v20G.
ADB via Linux Terminal:
After some tinkering I finally got to the point of:
List of devices attached
(Shows Device ID) device
How would I go about getting the phone into EMERGENCY MODE, and then flash the upgraded baseband? This may/may not be required, but it's what I saw with two different methods (Win7). Wine (.exe) file doesn't see my device. ./adb device - ACTIVE
The other method tries to load, but suddenly stops. Verified population of permissions (Execute as Program) check box.
Stuck...
WOULD THERE BE A WAY TO DO ALL OF THIS FROM THE LINUX TERMINAL?
Why is this thread here???
Please everyone read this.

[CWM/KERNEL]Stock Kernel with ClockworkMod[4.0.2.A.0.42]

Credits:
- DooMLord -> his recovery sources on github, and his guidance on assisting me with setting up the build environment and for his kernel.sin unpacker.
- Sony Ericsson -> the kernel with this.
I wanted the stock kernel because of battery drain issues present in many custom kernels, mine included, because although I used the semc sources to compile my kernel, it still had worse battery drain than stock.
I have unpacked the zImage from the kernel.sin in the 4.0.2.A.0.42 and then made that and a modified ramdisk into a boot.img, which you can flash.
This is for people who want to stay with the stock kernel, but want clockworkmod recovery.
Kernel string version:
Code:
2.6.32.9-perf
[email protected] #1
Download: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13729847/semc/kernels/stockCWM/boot.img
MD5: 1ad7e6db6258b73555f0e6ae73fe4fd6
To flash, use the command:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
If you are on linux:
Code:
./fastboot -i 0x0fce flash boot boot.img
Don't forget to say thanks if you use this!
Yo installed it the custom recovery works fine and now testing UPDATE-looks like its not starting up for me ill try a reflash UPDATE-its not working properly the system wont start man
Super interested in this since I went back to Stock rom moments ago so I can play FIFA 12. Will this work with the new HK 4.0.2.A.0.58 rom released as I have just put that on.

Yes, .42 and .58 use the same kernel.
Will this provide root? I only install Doom's for root & recovery, so if this does I'll use this instead. Thanks.

No root, but you can flash RootXperia.zip in clockworkmod (search it on google: rootxperia.zip).
Done but having booted after installing and rebooted into recovery (which worked) then restarted to phone it wont boot. Black screen after Sony Logo.
Update: Boots after 15 minutes no battery but now android market is keep coming up unsuccessful
Update 2: It just will not boot so I had no choice but to flashtool 4.0.2.a.0.58 back to default. :-(

Actually had market problems myself too, it is very wierd :/
Doesn't work at all for me - fastbooted it left it for a bit
came back and got the red blinking light.
What is the trick to get a stock kernel.sin to a working boot.img ? (Spent most of this afternoon failing to get it to work). All I really want is ro.secure=0 (or ro.debuggable=1). fastbooting CWM is ok for me.

Small how-to for creating insecure kernel
1) Unpack kernel.sin to get zImage and ramdisk (tools posted in my other thread)
2) unpack ramdisk
3) edit default.prop and set ro.secure=0 & ro.debuggable=1 then save file
4) repack ramdisk (cpio.gz)
5) repack into boot.img, using zimage + new packed ramdisk, using correct mkbootimg arguments
6) flash using fastboot
7) enjoy
PRO TIP:
Use ONLY LINUX FOR ALL OF THIS ELSE DEVICE WONT BOOT

I downloaded the R800x 2.3.3 (3.0.1.E.0.88) TFT from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19438024&postcount=12
I unzipped it using xarchiver (installed on arch linux/available on sourceforge)
I ran unpack-kernelsin.pl, and I get two errors (that don't exit out of the perl script):
1) ramdisk written... gzip: no such file or directory
2) cpio: premature end of image
When I try to cpio-ing the ram disk, my computer just sits... How long should I wait, I have a netbook (i know, not the best for doing compiling) and the longest i've let it sit is about 10 minutes (i'm about to let it sit overnight to see if it'll work itself out)
If you could give me any pointers, that'd be outstanding
Thank you,
Pax

Try to enter recovery by hitting back button a lot when the phone is booting.

Hi!
Sorry for late reply not so active on these forums anymore
Anyways, this tool allows you to install "cwm recovery" on stock rom.
To install CWM recovery follow the instructions.
To get to actual recovery menu tap back-button rapidly directly when phone is booting.
Do I need an unlocked bootloader or just root?
