Unflash kernel - Optimus One, P500, V General

Hi guys
I really need help here. I flashed a kernel to my P500. Is it possible to "unflash" it?
Thanks

Two options,
1. Flash another kernel
2. Flash kdz

I can extract the zImage from the stock ROM. However, I'm not sure if it's going to work by replacing the zImage on an already packaged kernel. I need to know first because most of the kernels are packaged in Koush's anykernel. Will test though.

Thanks man

Didn't you make a backup? You could just restore that if you do. And why do you wan't the stock kernel? o.0

That's the stock kernel from Android 2.2. Tested and it works.

JL15 stock kernel with root/recovery

Does anyone know where I can find the stock JL15 kernel that I can odin or flash that already has root/recovery? I know where to get the stock flash but other changes have to be made for it to work with root/recovery. What I want to do is have nero3 with just the stock kernel, not supercurio's voodoo kernel, without causing any issues.

First get the rom on your SD card, flash baseband.52 and install the rom normally with recovery, nothing special is requires for flashing the kernal it is done automaticly. If you need help on how to flash use my guide from my sig

So that kernel is already inside and i need just to flash it using baseband .52 ?
You flash the baseband with the flashtool and the rom with recovery. The kernal is included yes. Read through my guide, it explains all about how to flash roms and basebands.

I really don't have a clue if that would work or not cos J's kernal is for 2.3 and wolfbreaks rom is 2.2. You could always just try it out to see if it works just make sure you back up up wit recovery first and if worst comes to worst flash with the flash tool and redo your set up.

[Q] Flashing a custom ROM after flashing Kernel

Guys,
Can anyone tell me if there is any possibility to flash the Custom ROM like Cynam 7 after flashing kernel. I had flashed the franco v15 kernel on my LG optimus without changing the ROM. Now I want to change the custom ROM and wanted to flash Cynma7 as prepared by mik.
One more question, I read it somewhere that to flash the custom ROM, you need to wipe our cache and other things, prepare partitions on SD card etc but I didnt find this information when I was reading the thread of Cynam 7 prepared by mik.
Can anyone help me?
Can somebody please reply to my query.

If you flash custom rom your old kernel will be replaced with kernel in the rom. Than you can flash any kernel to change it. The procedures to flash mik rom is simple its same Like you flashed kernel no need to partition if not planning to use any type of apps2sd things. Just take nandroid backup from recovery, format /system (for same flash),and wipe all (you will loose all data), and flash.

[Q] Tegrak Kernel

Has anybody tried installing the Tegrak Kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920711) it seems to be compatible for the SGP
They are not compatible. If you flash it, you will just end up at the Samsung logo before it boots. It is made for the non US player. I wish it was though.

so I have the international player then I can just flash the one from the link there?
You should be able to flash it no problem. Just back up your device before flashing it to be sure.

if i back it up with titanium backup is that enough?

Do you have an 5.0 international player? If so, there is already a kernel in development section. See this thread.
Are you looking for anything specific in Tegrak kernel?

Do you have a Kernel with CWM on it? If so, that is the easiest way.
i still have stock kernel, which is why i wanted to use this one. I might try SteveS kernel instead
Good choice. You can always back up your device with CWM then flash the kernel using odin. If it fails, just flash the steves kernel back on the device.

DO NOT FLASH THIS KERNEL IT WILL RESULT AS YOUR DEVICE WON'T BOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OR BRICKED IF YOU WANT. (I tried it)

Why would you want stock over Entropy's? Entropy's is vastly superior...

You actually want to go to creepy's download repository. It's there.

The stock kernel in my Download Repository is bone stock.
The only stock kernel with ClockworkMod Recovery that I know about is the one prepared by codeworkx on Oct 2, the day the phone was released. Find it here.

I don't believe there is a CWM flashable zip of just the stock kernel. I only packaged the stock kernel into a tar because people wanted to remove the yellow triangle with it. But you can flash the tar with odin, no worries about the flash counter or yellow triangle. Or with Mobile Odin. Or you can flash the zImage with terminal, or with adb.

You should read codeworkx OP. He says it is compiled from sources. This was posted on October 2, so I don't think the sources were from at&t, but probably modified by codeworkx from I9100 sources. I'm not a developer myself, so I might be missing some info here.
But I do not think his kernel is one pulled from the I777, so it is questionable whether it is exactly like a stock I777 kernel in every respect. As far as I know, there have not been any problems reported using it. You could read through the whole thread to check.
is it possibile find kernel stock of last leak in cwm?
