I have created a JIT ENABLER and DISABLER to be used with XRecovery (I find it easier than using adb - or i'm just lazy LOL)
This is for the X10i Mini and X10i Mini Pro
EDIT: Thanks to other members for supplying their build.prop - the following have now been tested and are now supported:
E10a / X10i Mini 2.0.A.0.24 & 2.0.A.0.504
E10i / X10i Mini 2.0.A.0.24 & 2.0.A.0.504
U20a / X10i Mini Pro 2.0.A.0.24 & 2.0.A.0.504
U20i / X10i Mini Pro 2.0.A.0.24 & 2.0.A.0.504
Each file contains both the Enabler and the Disabler for each of the models / firmwares.
To install:
You will need to extract the 2 files from the .rar archive and then rename the one you want to "update.zip" (Without the quotes) and copy to your SD Card. Then reboot yor phone and start xRecovery... choose "Install update.zip".
Please make sure that you select the right one from the attachments below!
Once JIT is installed, if you go to "Settings" --> "About Phone" your firmware version will show as: "2.1-update1 - JIT v1 Enabled"
When You disable it, it will revert back to normal: "2.1-update1".
After a factory reset, Quadrant Advanced v1.1.1 reported a score of: 529.
Once I installed this, it reported a score of: 596 (~12% Increase).
I made this so I could know exactly what version I had on my device!
This is based on the thread [TUT] - Enabling JIT on the Mini so big thanks to Manny-
Hope this may help someone out.
BTW: This is v1 !!!
Working on 2.0.2.A.0.24 firmware
Thanks a lot mate. Its working on 2.0.2.A.0.24 firmware. All you need to do is replace the build.prop file in both the .zip files u attached.

Some lines also need to be edited in the original build.prop else it won't work correctly!
To check this, use adb:
adb shell
su
dalvikvm -k
The LAST line that it outputs should be something like:
Configured with: debugger profiler jit showexception=1
If you send me a copy of your build.prop I will edit it for you
yeah bro did the dalvikvm -k and i'm getting Configured with: debugger profiler jit showexception=1. getting 587.
but with the new fw 2.0.2.A.0.24 i'm seeing a strange prob wit JIT enabled(Battery drops from 99 to 75 rapidly and stays stable from 75 onwards.)
Dunno if its jus me or anything to do with the build.prop mod. Will send you the mod and stock build.prop, gimme sometime.
As of now JIT is disabled due to battery drain. Now its working fine.
P.S:- I have app2sd and dc2sd enabled.

Yes, you are using jit and at some point you must of replaced the lib files else there would be no or little difference in performance?!?!
The replacement files shouldn't cause a power drain but if you are constantly accessing your SD card (App2SD, DC2SD etc) then that would, but no too much to be really noticable I think! (Strange that it only shows it when JIT is enabled?!).
The build.prop only changes a few things, none of which are directly related to battery consuption!
Send me your files and I will see what I can do
works great!

It all seems fine, the battery level problem seems to be that it needs to be charged a couple of times so it can calibrate to your device. (Until then, false readings will appear)
So it isn't anything to be worried about
There is a secret menu which will give you more info about the battery but i'm off out now but I will have a look for it tomorrow.

I have to agree, there is no need to change the build.prop, because i installed the v1 version from big x10 thread (no build.prop in this .zip).
(Then it was changed to v2)
Removed the line from build.prop - benchmark has still the same results.
Some piece of knowledge here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=869664

Interesting! My rom originally had "standard" files which did nothing when the build.prop was changed and I needed to install the rest of the files for it to make a difference.
So that's why I added everything in the package, just in case somebody needed all of it
But use what you need - it's all FREE!!! lol
Deano thanx.....had problems to go throught the adb as i use a virtual machine with win7 on mac......now did it in 2 minutes!
589 with quadrant, however with normal use i still didn't notice any difference with performance.....
cheers

Hi,
Below is build.prop for 2.0.A.0.504 for u20i. Please, do your magic
Hello all,
First of all Im not a developer!
After some versions of roms I tried on my phone I had some difficulties with camera, video and contacts and I took the decision to do the following steps after I installed via Sony Ericsson PC Companion the official latest rom of Android 2.1.
1. Root your phone and install also Root Explorer.
2. Delete crap apps and games via Root explorer that SE dont let to uninstall.
3. Install Launcher Pro and 3D Gallery.
The phone after the deletion of some annoying programs of SE was working faster than before. With Launcher Pro and 3D gallery my phone right now is working very fast and faster I can say than Froyo and Gingerbread roms I tested.
The good thing on this is that you have the official rom.. So that means that everything works perfect and at same time with Launcher Pro and 3D gallery you have a different sense from your x10 mini.Until Android 2.2 and 2.3 roms are more stable and everything works great, I think that is a very good solution to give another meaning to your x10 mini and have full functionality.
That's all, I would love to have froyo or gingerbread to my phone too but I also need new roms to be more functional.
The procedure about how to root your phone and follow the next steps are inside the forum.
Final you can overclock your cpu to 710mhz for example (this a good overclocking with the most low risk to brick your phone) with many programs that most of them are in the market too for faster performance. After all you can use many themes and apps that have already posted on x10 mini forum section and use them w/o any problems. xRecovery is a must have to do this right!
Ok as you asked about how to overclock your x10 mini, I will show you the procedure about how to do it:
Intro: (dev post)
Since the X10 kernel is working, we might have a hope that someday we will have our custom kernels. If we can have custom kernels, we can do the overclocking easily.
Until that day, we will still have to overclock with modules. To make overclocking works with our current kernel, as far as I can see, we need to do the following things:
1. Patch cpufreq data to change maximum reported freq (these value will be read by Android for further controls). cpufreq will then call the low-level acpuclock functions to change real cpu freq.
2. Patch acpuclock data + code to change real cpu freq.
Installation:
Manual installation : it will be better if you can do this way.
- Download appropriate x8oc-v004-x10m (for X10 mini)
- Unzip
- Remount /system as rw (Root Explorer app and phone must be Rooted)
- Push x8oc.ko in to /system/lib/modules
- Edit /system/etc/hw_config.sh, add one line at the beginning
# x8 overclock
insmod /system/lib/modules/x8oc.ko
sleep 2
echo xAB > /proc/x8oc
Where AB is your desired code for that frequency. Test the frequency carefully before applying it at boot!
(you can edit hw_config.sh by pulling it to your PC, edit, and push it back)
- Reboot your phone
Frequencies:
20 to change to 614MHz
21 to change to 634MHz
22 to change to 653MHz
23 to change to 672MHz
24 to change to 691MHz
25 to change to 710MHz
26 to change to 730MHz
27 to change to 749MHz
So if you want to overclock your cpu to 710mhz then you have to choose "25" and the following code will be like this:
# x8 overclock
insmod /system/lib/modules/x8oc.ko
sleep 2
echo x25 > /proc/x8oc
After this you can download CPU Master for free from the marketplace and check the speed of your cpu and be able to change also the min frequency for better performance.
Thx to doixanh about this procedure
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1020313
You can download the file "x8oc-v004-x10m.zip" from the link above.
more simple... download flastools:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746

trying to install xrecovery...
so downloaded the .apk to instal, not working (busybox newest version from market, super user rights also)
in this app are 3 parts of instalation, first and last work 2. gots a red circle and says that it cant be stated.
so i tried it manualy and copied the files via root explorer(sh, chargemon and xrecovery.tar , busybox file). rebootet pushed the back button several times nothing happend -.- just the normal booting.
try the reboot again
now press the back button or the sound button on the rigth side
you say "sh,xrecovery.tar,busybox,carmagon"
i don#t know a sh file
try to install xrecovery with the flashtool
it is here in xda you have to search for it
strange, worked with the flash tool, then updated to version 1.00 via xrecovery but after that not working :/
looks like that version 1.00 is not working well so dont update it
yep switched back,
somehow in the xrecovery menu it says something about x8 recovery tool. ans also i have to take a x8 multitouch file to work.
a lot of things from the x8 work on our device's
but MULITTOUCH would not work on our devices
chose oure dualtouch driver it's the best wich work

Need help installing xRecovery on XPERIA X10 Mini
Hello all,
Seems there isn't much help for newbies here :-(
I browsed all of the relevant parts of the site (I think):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859571
https://www.xda-developers.com/android/reboot-x10-into-xrecovery-from-os/#comments
And found these links outside xda-developers:
http://www.android-hilfe.de/root-ha...2488-xrecovery-nandroid-auf-dem-x10-mini.html
http://www.mobil-talk.de/android-fa...ecovery-nandroid-auf-dem-x10-mini-nutzen.html
I used the German-language page (http://www.mobil-talk.de/android-fa...ecovery-nandroid-auf-dem-x10-mini-nutzen.html) to install the files, as I'm too stingy too shell out for the applications people here seem to need to install a system tool on their phones...
There are a few things that confuse me greatly, however:
1) What is the version of xRecover (or xrecover-x10mini) that we are supposed to be installing on our phones
2) What is the impact of busybox on the process (current version from the Market installs as /system/xbin/busybox, not as /system/bin/busybox as xRecovery seems to want; I know the chargemon script has /system/bin/busybox hardcoded)
3) What is the correct button to press at boot time of the phone to get into the xRecover application?
I installed several versions of the software I found through this site:
xRecovery-minipro-0.1.1-beta.tar.bz2
xrecovery_signed.apk
Neither of those seems to work on my XPERIA X10 Mini, and I have tried the back, volume up and volume down buttons, and I have tried to change the event from event0 to event1.
I am just trying to install the CyanogenMod 6 ROMs on my phone and am getting very disappointed with the entire process. If and when I do get it to work, I shall attempt to write my experiences down so others might have an easier time than I had.
Despite all the groveling, I do appreciate the community's efforts to make all of this work. I hope I can do my bit to document it better or to help iron out some inconsistencies.
Regards
looks like my problem
for me installing with the flash tool worked. (so just download flash tool and klick the xrecovery button =) )
after that i could copy the new custom rom files to the sd card and install them with xrecovery.
just push the back button all the time while booting repeatly when you got xrecovery succesful installed it should work
Hi there,
Just got the new mini pro (SK17i) and I've tried SuperOneClick root and Gingerbreak to no avail =( Since the device is pretty new I understand it may just not work, but to those who have gotten it to work, could you give me a walkthrough of what drivers you've downloaded?
A related question: does anyone know how to boot into recovery? I've tried a number of button combinations but with no success. I figure this might help with SOC, or it may not, but thought I'd give it a shot.
And finally, not sure if it's warranted yet, but it'd be awesome if we could get a separate SK17i forum going, so as not to confuse with the X10 mini pro.
A lot to ask in one post, I know, but greatly appreciated!

I can't help you ATM, but I'm agree with you when you said they should create a new forum specially for the new mini pro.
And I've a question, is it smooth, fast, and stable with SE firmware ? Is there any lag issue when you play 3D games ? Because I will buy it soon. Thx.

It's actually quite nice and stable, despite some of the extra stuff loaded in stock. I haven't stressed it too much with various games, but it does run very smoothly. Quadrant scores - if they matter much - hover around 1750.

Extract system image from downloaded SEUS image files Edit
Find 3 "FILE_(numbers)" files in SEUS db folder below. The file size are about 66KB, 15MB and 150MB.
C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\db\13740270\blob_fs
Download ConvertTool.zip from here
Extract ConvertTool.zip, then put the 3 FILE_(numbers) files into the same folder.
Execute below command from cmd prompt. You will get 3 tgz files.
SeusDecrypt.bat FILE_(numbers)
The smallest file should be renamed "loader.sin".
Extract the largest file with 7-zip (as WinZip does not work), or rename *.tgz to *.zip, then extract it with WinRAR. You will get FILE_(number) files again.
Extract it with 7-zip or WinRAR to get *.sin files.
Download SIN2IMG from here
Convert system.sin to img file.
SIN2IMG system.sin system.img

Modify system image Edit
Use linux PC
Download unyaffs tool from here, then make it
Download yaffs2 tool (mkfs.yaffs2.x86) from here, then put it into the same folder as unyaffs
Put system.img into the same folder as unyaffs
Extract the system.img into my_system folder
mkdir my_system
cd my_system
sudo ../unyaffs ../system.img
Modify my_system folder as you like. For example, download the Superuser and extract it,
mkdir extracted_superuser
cd extracted_superuser
sudo unzip su-2.3.6.1-ef-signed.zip
sudo cp extracted_superuser/system/app/Superuser.apk my_system/app/
sudo cp extracted_superuser/system/bin/su my_system/bin/
sudo chmod 644 my_sustem/Superuser.apk
sudo chmod 06755 my_system/bin/su
Compress my_system folder to image file.
sudo mkfs.yaffs2.x86 my_system my_system.img

Hi all!
I started the thread with request for dedicated new minis forum. Add your comments in it or we won't get it

Regards to DooMLoRD.
We have firmware for FlashTool (4.0.A.2.368).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216783
There's also rooting instructions (the same as here, only for devices with unlocked bootloader).
Brilliant - many thanks for keeping us posted!
Hi everyone! I read all available threads but still cant find the way to root my device.
The problem is that i can not access S1 Fastboot mode - LED indicator just doesn't turn to blue.
Is there any other way to gain root access on SK17i with 4.0.A.2.368 firmware, without the need of fastboot mode at all?
um can any one of you please give me a guide on how to get a cyanogen mod on my xperia mini pro sk17i?my device currently has android 2.3.4. i managed to root my device using the doomlord method.but what am i supposed to do after that to get cyanogen mod 7.1?
Guys, there is already a sub forum for this device. Don't keep asking here.
Sorry for english

Hey guys!
This is an easy step by step guide on how to enable dualtouch on x10 mini pro.
1) Download this file mediafire.com/?v6dgy4b339354by
2) Unpack the downloaded file and move the AAIS folder to your SD-card
3) Startup ''terminal emulator'' (you can download it from android market for free)
4) Type ''su'' and press enter
5) Press allow on the superuser pop-up (This will only happen first time you give terminal emulator root acces)
6) Type ''cd sdcard/aais'' and press enter
7) Type ''sh install.sh'' and press enter
8) Type ''9'' and press enter
9) Your device will now reboot and dualtouch will now work
For some reasons maybe you gonna need to repeat the steps 3-4 times (for me it worked first time)
I dont take any responsibilitιes if you damage your phone!
I have tested this on my own x10 mini pro and it worked super! I am sure it also gonna work on other devices
Enjoy!
This will work permantently
or you use the adbmx tool from snikegear. it`s still beta but it works very well on mini pro u20i features:
root
Script Editor
Dual Touch
Over Clock
Xrecovery
... and all in one click
Thanks to snikegear

Why xrec instead of cwm?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
You are absolutly right. The cwm is the better recovery version. So if you don't flash different roms you're fine with cwm. For some roms out there you still need xrecovery to flash them. I use xrecovery as the basic recoverym.from xrecovery you can always flash cwm with this:
