SwiftKey Free tomorrow - myTouch 4G Themes and Apps

Just got an email from
SwiftKey and tomorrow their paid app will be free through amazon appstore
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App

yup just got the app for free

used to be a great app but a couple of updates ago made the text prediction horrible

Thanks for the suggestion. This is going to be my new daily keyboard.
Also....
I think there needs to be a sticky with the daily free amazon app... there are going to be too many of these free threads if one is made everyday.
Sent from my glacier using XDA App

Ya man I agree and no problem.
MOD, please make the thread and sticky it. Move this over please, thanks.

I downloaded the app too since it was free and haven't tried it yet. But before I was trying their beta version. I like the look and gestures of the beta more but this one might be little more accurate so ill stick with this one.

There is one. I'll be closing all future posts like this because it should be discussed in the stickied post.

Shame I missed out, would've loved to try it out... even though I don't have my phone for another week lol.
Love the new dark theme.
Prediction is a little bit better for me. I like that it will auto-correct the last word in a sentence now. Backspacing seems quite a bit slower, maybe in the settings though.
It keeps saying ive entered an invalid answer...

Wonderful! I love it!!
What code did you use? I'm getting the invalid answer as well.

It's still up? I thought it was only for yesterday? If it is, then you should include a # sign on the answer.

Bad decision... I'm getting this app one way or another now that I saw it posted here, and I'll be damned if these folks see a cent from me.

Lol, you didn't read swiftkey's tos agreekent about using their beta software. You're not allowed to post the apk. It's for you and only you to use. (Those that got in on the beta sign up that is)

took it off.
What is the difference between this and the old swiftkey? I have the paid version of that, but now use flex t9. It is like swype and swiftkey together, best of both worlds...

And that is why you drive the short bus. J/K. I had the same issue, took me like a week to find "simple" view. Even sent tapatalk a nasty email that they NEVER replied to about it. So, I'm excited the app FINALLY supports thanks, but I will leave my low-star rating on the market since tapatalk most likely still has its head stuffed securely up its own ass. Even a busted clock is right twice a day.
Fuhq tapatalk.

I'm pretty sure you can't post an official app on XDA. Correct me if i'm wrong.
From my fist to your face, enjoy.
I thought it was just paid apps.

i am not a mod or an admin, nor claim to be one
typically they do not allow for paid apps or exclusive apps, that are tied to one carrier. Like VideoSurf for Verizon customers.
basically if it's a free app and can be installed on our phone via the market.android.com site it's okay to post.
If it is a .apk that is tied to certain phones, but not exclusive to a carrier, like the netflix app. They allow for that.
i am not a mod or an admin, nor claim to be one
but this one really boggles my mind since it's so easily downloaded via other means. Like Visiting Amazon.com
The official apk can found on Amazon's site.

There have already been a few threads about this issue. Solution..pay a measly sum for the premium ap.
I started a thread about the same issue then i decided to pay the 1.50 for the premium app and it was a smart choice would have done it sooner if i had the chance you wont be dissappointed

I'll say that some of the best apps I have, I paid for. Especially titanium backup pro....wow. That one pays for itself with the time it saves me during restores on flashing roms with my infuse.
OK so I'll buy it. I can't believe the free one wouldn't work though. Strange.

Not trying to be a buzzkill for people who bought the XDA app or anything but I'd highly recommend getting the Tapatalk app instead, which is basically the same app but without the XDA "skin". It's also more regularly updated and you can use it to access other forums. The development for the XDA app seems to have pretty much stopped.

I did consider the Taptalk app but i thought buying the XDA app was more appropriate as i was donating towards the good of the XDA community. It`s the lifeblood of us Android fanatics.

I bought the XDA app for that reason, but I use the Tapatalk app. Had I realized that the XDA app wasn't going to be updated frequently for bug fixes I wouldn't have bought it. Supporting XDA is one thing (I have an 'I supported star' for example) but buying an app and having it not work is something else, which is why I personally recommend people buy the tapatalk app. It works, gets updates for bug fixes, and handles most of the forums out there, not just XDA.

Adfree problems

I used it on my past two evos and it seemed to do a pretty good job of keeping banners and ads away. On my lte I haven't noticed that it is working I still see everything as far as ads. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong.
PS: I am a cheap a*s and don't like buying apps so please keep that suggestion to a minimum because I know its coming.
