I was checking twitter with TweetDeck on my x10 mini today and while I was doing that my phone rang. I could see the phone struggling to display the callscreen. It flashed into view a couple of times but before it got stable and functional the caller had hung up. I called the other person back and told them how frustrated I was with my phone. They were surprised because they had let the phone ring for a long time, like 8 rings.
So basically my phone is so slow that it can't even manage to accept calls any more
So what am I running on my phone that could possibly make it so slow? Well, I'm running Launcher Pro with only 2 home screens. I was also running tweetdeck at the time. I'm on the latest stock Sony 2.1 rom. I have xrecover and Jit enabled. The phone is also rooted.

Can you be more specific on the freezing .. do you phone freezes at the lock screen? or while working with an application?
Its good to know what handling you were doing in what application when it causes to freeze.
ATM there is a problem with twitter.com accounts. It also causes freezes on the phone
No, my phone won't freeze if i am using it! It will freeze only if i leave it at stand by mode for longer that approx. 30 minutes - 1 hour.
Additionally sometimes it starts from the first soft reset, but some other times it takes much longer to switch on!
Hi. I got this problem for quite sometime and am so used to taking out and putting back and taking out and putting back the batt.
But now I have another prob: my ringtone suddenly went soft and I now have to keep myself alert all the time to see if there's any incoming call or SMS.
I would like to do a hard reset but the question is: will it set my phone back to the stock ROM or still retain the updated version - 1.66.707.1?

I rooted my new Sidekick 4G a few weeks ago and became obsessed with the amazing apps they had out for rooted Androids (DroidSheep, All the awesome apps that let you change settings that Android wouldn't normally let you, etc).
So last night I downloaded "ROM Toolbox Pro" onto my phone and started to mess around with the settings. Being kind of a noob when it comes to the Android OS (and being extremely tired probably helped a little bit too), I started playing around in the app and looking at what options it had. I saw that you can change the battery icon, so I installed one and a pop-up came up and I selected reboot and then it started to reboot as it normally would, splash screen, etc. but as soon as the boot animation started the phone just started vibrating weirdly. There was one 1 second vibrate, then 3 very quick ones one after another. This kept repeating till I got a blank screen and I can't do anything from there.
Tried taking out battery and putting it back in but that didn't do anything. I decided to leave it overnight and see what happens, but got same result when I tried turning it on this morning.
Any help at all would be very greatly appreciated!
It's a T-Mobile Sidekick 4G running 2.2 Froyo, and it's rooted (obviously).

I recently upgraded to JB. I have an Xperia P.
Most of the things work, but there is a BIG issue with the phone app.
It lags and crashes to the point that I literally struggle to receive and make any call. It is by far the worst bug you can get in a phone. Coz then it ceases to be a PHONE.
Anyone else got this issue? Maybe there is a way to fix it? I have tried to repair the phone via PC companion, but nothing.

I also experienced this problem, while receiving calls it's sometimes impossible to answer (slider locks on the right side of the screen and application freezes) and make calls - short lag appears after touching the contact, then the screen blinks, then it calls or freezes. It's becoming more and more annoying. I've tried wiping data and cache of Phone application, neither helped.
That being said, I'm currently on a Jellybean 6.2.A.0.400 build, unbranded (changed from branded build, my contract provider is still keeping the OTA). I'm always in battery stamina mode and I'm using Apex launcher instead of stock.
Maybe something is interfering with the app, I don't know. Other thread about ICS being laggy suggested limiting background process limit - I didn't do it just yet, I need to check if any of background apps are not responding (turned Show all ANRs on, I wonder what will happen).
I hope somebody will find an answer to this problem.

I used to roll with nova launcher too, and i have the impression that when i changed back to stock, things were better.
But still not good enough. There are times that when there is an incoming call, the phone just vibrates, without any ringing.
It seems that the issue was solved in A.1.100 update, as it does not occur anymore. However, sometimes there's some trouble reaching me on the mobile, as if I had no coverage, the calls go to voicemail. Anyone has a solution?

Recently when i swipe right contact to make a call, calling screen appears but it isn't calling. I must wait few minutes till it starts calling or press home button to go to home screen but then any app or anyhing freezes. It happens once in a while since few weeks. I did nothing special, no new apps, no changes at all. Wierd is my gf phone started to do same thing a bit earlier with no reason, too.
After restaring it works nice then after few calls or few days it starts over.
Is there any obvious reason causing that behaviour or not?
GB 2.3.6, Go Launcher Ex. I got this config since 2 yrs.
try clearing the cache often

I tried going to a Lollipop ROM on my S2 but I only managed to change the recovery, the ROM didn't work (boot loop) so I used ODIN to revert back to the stock ROM (i9100XWLSW) wiped both the data and dalvik cache. I did also have Kingroot installed during all this and I installed it again after flashing the stock ROM but I've since removed that too with another write of the stock ROM via ODIN.
The problem I'm having now is Whatsapp and other apps won't actually do anything if the device is asleep. The WiFi appears to be connected, logo is present at the top if i wake the device but it takes about 10 - 30 seconds of being inside an app (such as Whatsapp) for anything to happen. I'm not sure if this is a WiFi issue or some sort of app issue across the board? I woke up today at 9am checked my phone there was nothing on it. It was only at 10:30am when I went to send a Whatsapp message to someone and opened the app manually that i had messages come in from 8am that morning. I also use Whatsapp Web and some times it won't connect to the phone via WiFi even if the device is awake. I have to reboot and try again. Although if it's connected via Whatsapp Web and asleep messages come in no problem at all both on the PC and the phone??!!!!
It's doing it constantly now, at the start it was touch and go but now it's all the time i have to constantly check the app for messages to come in. This happens on other apps too.
What's going on? Have i damaged my device some how from the flashing process? I'm pretty familiar with ODIN as I used to flash my old Galaxy Apollo all the time but never had this problem.
I was going to get a new phone but I actually really like my S2 and it actually keeps up with most of the phones in my price range and in some cases (camera, AMOLED screen, storage, sometimes RAM) it is better than the new stuff!
Any idea's please?
Never mind went and got myself a nice Note 3 instead...
