MultiTouch, DualTouch? Anything?

I've heard rumors and I've read blogs. It seems the X10 Mini Pro is capable of having MultiTouch, but what about the Mini?
Take this with a grain of salt but AFAIK the Mini's digitizer isn't capable of multitouch, which means you'd have to rewrite the entire driver in order to test if it's even possible, also AFAIK the Mini and the Pro have the same digitizer

Sorry bro, but clearpad 2000 has always been DUAL touch. Look on synaptics's homepage http://www.synaptics.com/solutions/products/clearpad . Well, in that list it says 2100, but it's the same thing, the 2000 series have always been dual touch compatible. I know that it isn't as great as the pro's , but it's better than nothing. Someone should crack the ****ing bootloader already...
http://se-blog.com/2010/04/26/exclusive-x10-mini-supports-multi-touch/
In light of all the debate about the display on the X10, I decided to find a definitive answer myself. I went ahead and asked Synaptics, who’s a supplier of touchscreen technologies, and although I didn’t get the answer I was looking for, I got another rather interesting fact. Apparently, Synaptics is the supplier of the display on the X10 Mini and I’ve just been told that it’s a ClearPad 2000 solution, which means it supports dual touch – or in other words the basic sort of multi-touch. It doesn’t mean that it’ll be activated and supported out of the box – as the operating system won’t support it – but I’m pretty sure it’ll come in an update.

And I dont think that there is a need to crack the bootloader.. In the mino pro-forum they are talking about unloading the current driver and load a multit touch-driver.
Let'ts hope it works... so we have a good chance to get dual touch

Why doesnt the X10 mini E10i support dual touch?

Greeting!
I have this little question about the dual touch functionality on the X10 mini E10i , it seems like you guys have found some solution to make it work on the X10 and the X10 mini PRO but not on the X10 mini , I'm just wondering is it a hardware limitation that prevent the development of a new driver ? I mean is it the X10 Mini screen that does not allow Dual touch?
also I would appreciate if someone can provide me with the last version of the fake dual touch fix for the X10 mini E10i.
Thank you in advance
Sincerely,
Mathieu
Because of different hardware type and technology!
Hence a hardware limitation!
Anyways here's ur fake dual touch.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004740

Thank you for your prompt reply and for sharing the link of the fake dual touch
so I would understand that it's impossible for the X10 mini to have dual touch? I thought that it has a synaptic clearpad 2100 digitizer which support DT?

[INFO] X10 mini Digitizer T1021A and other dualtouch enabled phones that use it

[Open topic discussion]
Greetings !
Hows it going everyone
well I'm new to this fantastic forum that I find extremely helpful specially with the asset of the pro Developers that the forum Managed to gather at the same place
well it happens that I was surfing around trying to find any leads to figure out if the X10 Mini digitizer T1021A is Dual-touch capable or not.
Actually I found a couple of phones that uses the same Controller "T1021A" , and the most interesting one is the Blackberry Torch 9800.
Although the phone runes a BlackBerry OS6 " not an Android" but its fully Dualtouch enabled .
here are some info about the cell
http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/blackberry-torch-9800-everything-you-need-to-know/
here you can check out a video review of the phone
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHnW7Dt1bcIand
and here you can take a look at the Blackberry Torch 9800 teardown
http://www.ubmtechinsights.com/repo...tive-analysis/blackberry-torch-9800/teardown/
they stated at the bottom of the page that the phone has a Clearpad T1021A controller which raises some hopes again that the X10 Mini might be able to have Dualtouch functionality up if we could manage to alter the digitizer driver , I dont claim that I possess any knowledge about firmwares and drivers development , but I believe that if its possible to extract the driver from device which I believe that its coded in C language we could be able to modify it to work for us or if we can manage to extract the driver from another device using the same chip and has Dualtouch enabled , as I've heard that Synaptics agreed to share the Synaptics RMI4 drivers with the Android SDK but I could not find any , seems like they've removed it temporary for some reasons.
I've found another phone that has the same chip T1021A , its the Nokia N8
Here you can see that the phone supports Dualtouch .... this is an Assassin's creed gameplay
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aivlOZs2Ez0
here you can clearly see that the phone has a T1021A chip "Step 10 3rd picture"
http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nokia-N8-Teardown/3641/2
Another phone is Nexus One " no need to represent the phone thought "
here you can see a teardown of the device seems like the one possess a similar controller T1007A
http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nexus-One-Teardown/1654/2
here you can find a full technical article about the Nexus One it indicate that the Nexus one has the same Digitizer as the X10 mini Clearpad2000 , sounds like the T1021A is just a microcontroller that controls the way the digitizer behaves and the T1021A thingy does not mean a ClearPad 1021 as some presumed

looking forward to read your replies and suggestion about the matter so maybe we could come up with something.
Are you completely sure that the Torch is able to recognize 2 touch points independently and somewhat accurately instead of just supporting dual-touch gestures like pinch-in/out and rotate?

well , I don't own the phone to confirm it , but after what I saw in reviews about the cell , it seems that its the first Multitouch not only dualtouch BlackBerry that uses the BlackBerry OS 6.
it would be nice if we only could manage to find someone who could confirm it
a datasheet woud be nescesary. mabye you could mail synaptics for more info but don't think they give much away, this things are normally not open source. it would be tons of work and mabye noth wort it.

I do not understand much about it, but I know that the Mini uses 2.2 Froyo Galaxy and has multi-touch, perhaps you could be helping in something!
The disposal.
thanks

I believe the Kin Two only supports dual touch gestures, like pinch, rotate and so on.
cant we just take the legend driver from the legend kernels and just snap it into our new custom kernels without any modifications ?! same screen res and same digitizer so i guess it wouldn't require lots of work ! thanks

nokia n8 doesn't support real dualtouch!! only gestures and pinch to zoom
It's easy to assume that the Nokia N8 has got dualtouch, but in fact it's got what some would call "software emulated dualtouch" which means dualtouch behavior on a singletouch only digitizer.

WiFi N on P500?

Hello, someone has ported the WiFi N drivers on Samsung Galaxy 5 and on Sony Xperia X8.
Could we do this on our device?
i hope it is possible
maby it is much faster
Isn't the N feature hardware dependent?
IF the WIFI chip in our P500 doesn't support N, then we will never have WIFI-N compatibility.
i tot N type wifi is base on hardware ??
such as the wifi adapter for computer @@

Absolutely correct.... But theres a possibility our chip supports N, but dunno what chip O1 uses for Wifi, i someone could seach for the specs and confirms that our chips has N support then that mod would be doable in our phone too..
AFAICT X8 as well x10 DOES have N support in their chip...

According to the EN_LG-P500_SVC_ENG_101008 manual, the P500 uses a MSM7227 processor + a LBEH19UNBC-338 BT/WIFI module.
All we need to find out if the LBEH19UNBC-338 module supports N.

M4 Aqua (E2363) RAM issue and Blue screen issue

Hello Forum Members,
I have been facing RAM issue and blue screen issue for so long, i tried to solve the issue by giving the Firmware with Xperia Flash Tools. After that a few days it worked fine and again it has the same issue. those issue are getting terrible.
Is there any solution for the problem?:crying:??
Hello!
Your EMMC (Embedded multimedia card) is going to die soon. Probably, some parts of it have already died.
I suggest you to visit the nearest Authorized Sony Repair Centre. They'll completely replace your motherboard with EMMC, and your phone will work as a new one!
Sincerely,
Max Gray.
in default mode,Sony's ROM uses swaps, it means uses memory card as RAM
You can disable it by kernel aduitor app in virtual memory >> z-ram
Try it and see what happens
@ Gray47Maxx you are right started to blue screen and slow down and bamm bootlooped a few times and died and sony said that mother board needs to be replaced so i sold the phone for parts and bought an lg g4 and got the bootloop problem haha
