Deleted a pile of needed apps apparently from my phone which caused a bunch of force closing and process errors. Tried three different restore methods and the dial in code worked. I have the original .apk and .odex files for the galaxy I just dont know where they go.
You question(s) is/are not clear. Please rephrase / be more specific. What are you trying to accomplish? Also, rather than post again below mine, please just edit your original post (OP) above.
Clicking the .apk should install it, but file wise its in system/apps/
Thanks, do you know if I need to move the .odex files on there somewhere ?
Before I THINK I saw odex in the same place but now,i can't find it...
Wait till someone else responds
Thanks again, after the reset I only have two folders available internal to the phone. Just dropped all the .apk files in the phone and guess I'll see how it goes from there
Hi Sorry I couldn't post this in the kindle fire android market thread, because I don't have enough posts yet..
I am unable to copy the Vending.apk file to the system app folder. It's not a read/write issue because I was able to uncompress the vending.apk and copy the uncompressed folder to 'app' but not the .apk. I was able to copy OTHER files to this folder as well.
any help would be appreciated. thanks

My Android Market app quit working after the 6.2.1 update, kept getting FC every time I tried to start the app.
I tried reinstalling, downloaded different versions, etc., nothing worked. Found this thread about the 3.4.4 version of Android Market.:
Since this is my first post, I can't post the link, but it is on Galaxyforums.net, the thread's title is "New Android Market Version 3.4.4" The article contains a link to the apk on mediafire.
Downloaded it and it worked. Installed the app, rebooted the KF, and now I have a working Android Market!
I've been searching everywhere through countless pages and the ten or so links I've been able to find are all either dead or are incorrectly labeled, etc.
I just need the stock calendar .apk specifically, but I'd love to have the entire system dump for future use.
Thanks!
Hi all,
Im new here so please correct this thread if I posted it in the wrong forum.
My problem is as following:
I made an apk with appyet.com and downloaded it. There are annoying ads in it so i removed them with Lucky Patcher (Apk multi-tool was not working! ) So i saved it without ads as another apk and transfered it to my pc. When i tried uploading it is said that is was not zipaligned. I zipaligned the apk with the zipalign tool in tool folder but when i tried to upload it says:
You have uploaded an apk that is signed with an restricted certificate. You have to upload an apk signed with your own certificate.
Does anyone knows how to fix this error?
Sorry for any mistakes in my English
Hi Guys
First of all excuse me for posting here as I am far from a developer but you are the only ones who can help me with this.
Yesterday I was trying to download a file from Facebook, and it would download but then i could not find it anywhere, even plugged my phone to the computer and did a search and nothing. So I kept trying to download it.
Thing is today I used this password storing app and went to open my file where i have stored all my passwords (nothing to do with what happened yesterday).
And in most recent downloads i saw the 10 duplicates of the files i had downloaded yesterday, and this app gives me the path for example
content://com.android.providers.downloads.documents/document/5412
how can i delete them having the path for each one?
thank you so much
