[Q] .mp4 files, Windows media player playlist (need continuous play) - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

I have been watching alot of episodes of shows ripped from dvd and then compressed down to .mp4 format. They run great on the WMP built in (coreplayer I get flicker.
Anyway I queue up the shows as I go to bed so they will continually play and then after every episode it loads the next show but doesn't play it (like coreplayer) is there a way to make it so it will cycle through all shows one time and then stop without me having to get up and push play again?
Thanks in advance!

mxvideo player, or any video player?

I'm trying to watch avi videos that ive downloaded and everytime i try to skip ahead or back in the video, the progress bar will move with my finger, and then when i let go it just goes back to wherever it was. so i can only watch the movie from start to finish, which wouldn't be a problem if it didn't keep kicking me out of the app every 15 or 20 minutes. so i'll get 15 minutes through the movie, then the app (in this case mxvideo or vplayerr) will force close and then when i go back to open it again and watch the movie, i have to start from the start, no skipping back to where i was. also my stock video player wont even play these avi files. and it's nothing wierd, just tin tin andsome other movies for my son. anyone know a way around this or even experienced this?
I've never experienced that and I use MX to watch Avi's all the time. I also use it over the network with ES Explorer. Maybe check your files and play with the settings in MX.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA
Dice Player is "the best" for the prime. Everything plays with hardware rendering. And it doesnt just boot back to the movie list every 5-20 minutes.
Dice Player=no more issues.

[Q] Streaming video stops all together if you hit pause or do something else.

When streaming video from youtube, or other sites and I hit pause during that stream, the entire loading of the stream will stop. Whatever is buffered will play but the stream will not resume loading from that point forward.
Example: Say I'm streaming a cartoon from the web and the clip is 5min long. About 2min into the clip I have to pause it because the phone rings. When I come back it will only play another 30 seconds and then stop (the stream which was already buffered plays). The player will just show the little symbol for loading/buffering but the wifi transfer icon on the tablet is doing nothing. I will have to reload the page and the video from the beginning.
The same can happen if I try moving around the clip. If I wanted to jump 30 seconds into the clip or backward in time it can trigger the player to stop loading. It will also happen if I open another app and return to the browser; like reading a new email. If I'm using netflix to stream I don't run into this problem. I assume its because of their programing in the app etc.
Is this a limitation to streaming video on mobile devices when it doesn't complete the buffering if interrupted? A computer will just continue to buffer it into memory for playback but are mobile devices set up to stop that loading so that memory is kept free? I know our primes have browser issues with freezing and rebooting but I don't know if this is part of the browser issues the broader prime community is experiencing.
I am on stock os, I use boat browser and the stock browser, and tried the suggested remove all browsers, uninstall flash, and reinstall trick. My phone has always been bad at streaming video so I can't really compare that with my tablet.

Remix OS - application to play DVD

Please does anyone know about some app that can be used to play DVDs ?
My DVD drive seems working fine (can be seen as /dev/block/sr0, can be mounted manually.. BTW I installed Remix using it, as all attempts using usb were failing). But I can't find any application to play DVD video.
I tried Kodi - which has even some settings like "play DVD automatically", but can't find how to make it start playing.
Tried also VLC (which claims support for DVD), but also can't find how to tell it to start playing.
Thanks for any hints..
try using the media player and play the file 'VIDEO_TS.IFO' , see if it works?
I tried opening the VIDEO_TS.IFO or the *.VOB files after manually mounting the dvd using several players - MX player, Kodi, Vlc, BS player, Vlc beta.
MX player does nothing. BS player seems to not work on Remix at all. Kodi looks like tries to do something, but after a moment says error that it can't play the file. Vlc beta dost not work too.
Only Vlc works - it starts playing the .VOB files. There is no DVD menu etc, but at least some progress, thanks
If you have some tips which more video players would be worth trying, please let me know.
pulled this from a forum, give it a whirl and let us know how it goes. Apparently it will allow you to play from a folder or even iso.
With the menus and stuff.
- download Daroon player from Market
- copy VIDEO_TS folder from your DVD to your SD card
- Start Daroon and click on DVD Folders icon.
It will find your VIDEO_TS folder and play it.

I tried the Daroon player. It looks like it tries to start playing the DVD from the VIDEO_TS folder, but immediately returns back to the main menu, without saying any error. But it does the same also on some other normal .avi and other video files - it start playing some, but just returns to menu on others.

Need help with this mp3 file to play on Music Player(Read below)

I have downloaded some mp3 files on my phone, the problem is that some mp3 files after I download wont go to a certain time stamp. For example: this song is 5 minutes long and its playing on my music player, I want that song to go at [3:51] in the song duration, but it instead redirects the time stamp at [1:13] when I press on the song duration bar and(where you press play and skip). Since they don't want to go at the time stamp( example [3:51]) that I wish for, I tried it on my computer and the files played fine when I played it on Groove Music and went to that actual time stamp like it should. And I noticed that this app "Music Speed Changer" can also go the actual time stamp but my normal music player wont let me do that. So I want to know if there are any apps that can go to the desired time stamp that's also a music player that has playlists, genres category etc. or if there are any alternate solutions. Btw I have a theory that this happens bc of of the phone I use bc its 6 years old, idk if this problem only occurs on older phones, and work fine on newer models.
Overall I just want this complex coding within the music speed player that lets my files play at any time stamp on my normal music player, as that one seems to lack the coding commands that let it play at any timestamp regardless of the mp3 file.
Also I would post a link to a video displaying the problem but I'm new so the website won't let me atm.

I would recommend you to download a new music player, if that's the case.
There's a bunch of good and free music players, such as: VLC (also plays videos), Google Play Music, BlackPlayer Music Player, Spotify, etc.

Music player default headset action

Hi all, I'm running a Huwawei P smart, and got fed up with the default player, so started using Musicolet (after trying several). I like the feature of being able to select a folder and play everything in that, rather than just an album, or artist, or playlist, or all music.
However the default action of the phone was to load the use the inbuilt player, even after I set my chosen one to be default. After locating a thread on here, I stopped the storage access for the default player, which is great. It no longer loads.
But I do not seem to be able to get musicolet to auto load and play when I press my headset play button. Once loaded all works fine, but if i pause music, after a few minutes my player unloads itself.
As I ride a motorbike, it's a pain to have to remove glove, unzip, get the phone out, load the player, the put everything back, all because I say stopped for fuel and paused the player.
Any idea's how to get a new player to auto load?
Thanks.
