Check to see if you have plugins enabled in your browser settings. What browser are you using?

Don't use latest flash... doesn't work use older front vegan upload site

I have the latest version installed from the market bandits workingfine on my tablet with vegan 5.1.1

I have tried firefox, dolphin and builtin.
Dolphin shows flash ads at times, but for instance, espn.com does not play videos when I launch one. I click on a flash video in dolphin but it does not load.
Firefox just says its not installed.

I tried with the stock browser and Firefox. Stock browser shows a down arrow and Firefox says not installed. I installed flash from the [Guide] thread on installing CWM, roms, market fix and flash. Any thoughts? Should I use another browser? Do I need to do anything else besides install like change some settings?

I had a similar issue with 5.1.1 at one point. I uninstalled Flash and then reinstalled it (figured it was worth a shot). It resolved it, strangely.

When I get the down arrow in the stock browser, I just tap on it and then the video will load and play. Yours does not do this?

You could go to browser settings and go to Enable Plug-Ins and select Always On so that you won't have to click on the Flash window, it will automatically start the video.
And the latest Flash works fine on my VEGAn 5.1.1. Just watched two episodes of Family Guy on Fox Television's website last night.

To get espn.com videos working I had to go into browser settings and change my device to Ipad. I think they are HTML5 but not sure. I use xscope browser

Yeah, but when I do that then all the aggravating flash ads automatically run too. I'd rather be able to just see the ones I want to see and let the others go....
Thanks for your response though. Good to know.

The Daily Show.com CBS.com have anyone had any success with watching these videos?

I'm struggling to get anything to play from these websites. I know they rely on Flash and pretty much the stock browser is the only browser that can handle it.
But I have been unsuccessful at getting Comedy Central's The Daily Show website videos and CBS full episodes to play at all.
Any suggestions?
post links then ill try them out on stock browser, ICS+ browser, n boat browser to see if it works on mines

Try Dolphin HD from the market -- it can handle Flash as well. I know I got CBS.com to work at one point but I don't remember whether I was using stock or Dolphin. I'm at work so I can't test right now (firewall filters).
The only way I can view The Daily show on my Prime is through the Hulu+ app and even that requires a hack to get to work on the Prime.
How do the tablet world survive with such a lackluster of Flash support? Most sites I use rely heavily on Flash.
I just googled daily show, clicked full episodes in google result, watching full episode of daily show in stock browser right now, double click video to go full screen. I also just installed the newest update, the .14 one. I am in the US, 64 gb Amethyst grey.
I am also in power saving mode, this new update is doing wonders for me.
Edit: I also have my plugins set to on demand, so I get a white box with green arrow, I click it to start flash, works great for me.

and it's not working for me. Where do you to adjust the plugin settings to on demand, is that in the Stock browser settings?

Stock browser man, no + here. I can also use a program called stick it, which puts a small window anywhere on your screen thats sizable and movable and the video plays great.
Now at cbs.com when I click a video it asks what program I want to use to view the video. I use stick it so I can do other things while the video is playing in a small window in whatever I'm doing.
Now to make plugins on demand:
1) Launch stock browser, go to browser settings, go to advanced, go to enable browser plugins, click it, has 3 options, disable, on demand, and load I believe, make your choice and done.
Edit: Stick it
This program is really cool and works great.
Just updated to ICS .14 and testing this out on stock browser to provide my input but cbs.com goes to mobile version although some full episodes are in bits I can watch them.
If I go to setting and check off "Request desktop site" I get full site and can still watch full episodes.

Yes stock browser. When I updated to ICS .14 last night from HC .33 it asked me to download flash when I opened up the stock browser. I dont know if its newer than the flash update a week ago or so though.
Flash update was just the other day.

Yeah a day or 2 ago, flash seems to have worked some kinks out too, maybe better ICS integration.
Okay I am able to get this to come up fine on CBS.com Full episode shows.
But I haven't had any luck with TheDailyShow.com

I had a similar problem when I just got my Prime. I cleared data and cache for adobe and the browser, and that seemed to have fixed it. You can also try downloading Adobe AIR as well but I don't think it actually does anything even though some people recommended it. Also I DO NOT recommend Opera or Stock browser when using flash videos, instead try ICS Browser+ or Dolphin HD.
hopes that help

I found a way to watch adobe flash on Nexus 10 without rooting

Not sure if this is old news or not...
1) Download & Install 'archived flash' from adobe site flash for android 4.x @ http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.27/install_flash_player_ics.apk
(if not there search google for 'adobe archived flash player')
* Make sure you go into settings and put a checked box by unknown sources or it won't let you install it since the apk you just download is not from the google play. Afterward, you can go back and uncheck it for better security.
2) Install Dolphin for Pad v1.0 @ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dolphin.browser.pad&hl=en
* After installation, go through the wizard and change the agent to Desktop (or change it later in Dolphin's Agent in settings)
It's been working on most flash site for me
I have flash on my dolphin browser, I installed same version of flash as you linked to and deleted some setting within the data folder of dolphin browser (I don't remember exactly where on XDA I found the post).
How does the dolphin for pad work compared to the normal dolphin browser? Is it betteR?

Not really. Dolphin for Pad hasn't been updated in months and user reviews reflect the lack of interest from the developer.
Thank you kindly my good friend I'm watching college ball right now

yes, it is better for me.
Latest regular dolphin has feature disable that will not work with flash.
You have to restore old dolphin version to get it working with flash. When I did that, it was superslow and stuttering almost unusable for me that I can't even watch some streaming sports channel on it so I gave up and tried others...and found this work smoother and faster for me despite others low review. As long as it works for my Nexus 10, I didn't care about the reviews. I don't need all the features other negative reviewers were asking.

I need to try this, have chrome, ocean and boat browser on mine, and ocean supposedly allows it but it freezes when I start a video, boat and chrome don't detect the flash I already have installed, so I'm gonna try this , hopefully I can get it going , specially since I just got my HDMI to micro HDMI cable to connect it to my HDTV .

Internet browser/flash performance...

Hi all apologies if I'm doing this wrong by making a new thread for each question...
Basically, I use Chrome on my XTZ, generally lovely however I know it doesn't support flash..
I installed flash player and have tried some other browsers namely Dolphin and Firefox, but when I load a flash based video - it's simply not watchable and the web page completely slows to a crawl...
I actually had this issue with these browsers on my HTC One, but thankfully the stock browser on that runs flash flawlessly and is generally snappy.
Anything that uses flash properly I can use on my XTZ??
Thanks
Give Maxthon a try.

John Francis

Are you using the latest version of both Dolphin Browser (10.0.0) and Adobe Flash Player (11.1.115.69)? That is my situation and I am not experiencing the problems you are describing.

Thanks mate, your right works like a charm. If I can ask though - when watching some flash based video, some sites have a missing full screen icon...
gametrailers.com is one such website - any other way to force fullscreen without just using finger zoom?
Thanks

[Q] Run Flash directly from browser

N00b I know... BUT all I've found on the internet is to download the Flash player 11.1 Apk and install it, tried that and it didn't work as a matter of fact now the default browser won't load but that's not big deal, I rather use chrome or mozilla but same thing, I try to run an app from facebook and all it asks for a flash player update even with java and flash enabled from the settings of the browser. The one on the play store says it is not compatible with the device (What the heck!?... I was able to use in a lower device as the optimus 3D Max p720) please help before I return the god d**m phone

Try xScope pro browser, delete whichever flash you have before installing xScope. It will have prompts to install flash when you first open browser. Go in to settings afterwards at set it for desktop view.

Here's the original Flash plugin from LG firmware.
I restore adobe flash player every time I upgrade a ROM, this will enable the built in browser, or AOSP browser to use adobe flash for all webpages. Doesn't work with chrome (last i tried anyway, 3 months ago)

Nexus 9 - Adobe Flash player for Android 5.0 Lollipop

Hi all,
Does anyone know whether Adobe Flash will ever work on Android 5.0 Lollipop (Nexus 9, specifically)?
Not a fan of Flash at all, but one of the reasons I am getting Nexus 9 is to be able to watch sport streams, all of which are unfortunately still Flash-based.
Thank you!

I don't have Nexus 9 yet. I remember that Flash was breaking with each minor Android version upgrade, so I assumed a jump to v5 would be a near total rewrite

Dumb question: how do I side load flash?
I'm running L preview on my N7 but haven't had success with flash on Dolphin. Dolphin was updated a day or so ago so that it now works on L with Jetpack enabled. I just haven't been able to view flash video. YMMV. I hope it does. I will try again once the official os drops so I can flash it.

really? with each version of Android comes a code base change with new code added and old code deprecated/removed so yes each version of android does matter with 3rd party apps. no one is updating flash for android anymore so if its not already broken then it will very soon as Android is going the way of HTML5 not flash.
Well, my Nexus 5 with Latest Lollipop version can't load flash with this procedure (Dolphin+jetpack+flash), so maybe IT IS a matter of Android version...
WebView (the internal web system) now is based off of Chromium which has never supported Flash on Android. Final nail in the coffin. You can install it but nothing will be able to use it.
Is this why I can not watch any Amazon Prime Instant video?
Puffin seems to be working great for Flash content.
I installed the free version of Puffin and subscribed to the flash service. I made sure that in settings flash was set to load automatically. I tried to play some of the free Amazon Prime instant videos, the player would show the connecting/loading circle but the videos never played. I noticed the player was in play mode and not paused. Is there something I missed?
Dolphin and Mozilla not working for me. (Downloaded the flash player apk v11.1)
I'll try puffin.
*edit* Downloaded puffin but couldn't even trial the flash player... Sigh ?

I believe the problem with Amazon has to do with the fact that they don't allow tablet access. I mainly use Puffin to view continuing education videos and it seems to be working fine.
If you guys have some specific sites you want me to check out just let me know.
