[Q] Help. fascinate won't get past SAMSUNG logo - Fascinate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've had a rooted VZW Fascinate for a month or so and went out and bought a Thunderbolt. Not thinking I pulled the sd card out of the fascinate for other uses and formatted it. I was planning on selling my fascinate but now when I turn it on it stays on SAMSUNG logo. Can anyone let me know what exactly I need to put back on the SD card for my fascinate to return to stock or 2.2.1 (DL30 leak, EB01) which is what it was at when I removed the SD card???

ANY Eris can be rooted now. Bootloaders don't matter. Just download the 1 click app and boom your rooted.
I flashed the ruu before I sent my old eris in. the replacement was rooted within minutes of getting it.

I second that. Flashed the original RUU. Even went the extra mile ans deleted the ext 3 partition and formated the entire sd card (ext 3 partition is for those who use roms with aps2sd capability) for safety sake.

No need to format the sdcard. You keep the battery, sdcard, and battery cover. You just send in the handset.

[Q] Tb won't start up

Hi, because of the GB scare, I went back to froyo, and now decided to go back to GB and so I flashed the radio and Gingervitis IX. I decided I wanted BAMF 2.05 which I had before downgrading and flashed it, but now the phone won't start. It get's stuck at the screen with the 'Thunderbolt' and BAMF, and when turning it on and holding down volume down it automatically goes to update in hboot so it doesn't let me recover. What do i do
You have to get that GB radio off your SD card ... you have a card reader?

Or at least another phone to throw the SD card in? Once you get that GB radio off there, I'd say redownload the ROM and wipe/install again ...

Nope, but i think i've got it, I used my old phone to read the card and put the update on my card for the tb to fix it, thanks tho.

[help] Thunderbolt will not turn on.

Recently flashed the liquid ICS JMOD rom and it worked awesomely up until this morning. I guess it started two days ago when my SD card would randomly unmount and i couldnt access my music or anything. usually a trip to 4EXT recovery and a manual mount would fix it but when i went to restart it never came back on. I cant boot into boot loader or regular boot , any suggestions?
Have you tried booting without the SD card?
Sent from my Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2
yeah no dice i cant get any response from the Power button it doesn't do the vibration no HTC screen nadda!
I forgot to point something out. when i rebooted to recovery it did go in but it wasnt getting a read from the SD so 4 ext booted in safe mode. once in their i hit reboot and thats when it decided to never start again.
Sounds like you have the dreaded broken SD port. Does you SD card read on your PC? If it does then backup the sd card and try reformatting it and put everything back. Then try booting.

Have you tried that yet? I have one that did basicly the same thing. Was restoring a backup cuz it was freezing. Recovery rebooted by itself twice while trying the restore. Finally finished and hit reboot. Stuck on splash screen so I pulled the bbattery. .hasn't booted since, computer can't see it, charging LED doesn't come on, can't get to bootloader. It pretty much died right there in my hands.swapped battery, USB cable and SD card with my other tbolt to check those possibilities.
First part about your sd card. I had this happen to my sd card and one day the card died. I tried to have it read on my computer and it wouldnt read. As for your second issue I have seen on different forums about this happening and so far no one has been able to fix it. Sad to say but your bolt is probably bricked.

DNA not recognizing sim card after flashing roms

Running into a little hick-up with my DNA. Never seen anything like this so I'm stumped. After flashing M7 Digital Dreams V1.1, I installed the sim card from my galaxy note 2 and the phone says it's an invalid sim card. I put the card back into the Note 2 and it works fine. I then tried the sim in another friends GS3 and it worked in that phone. Not sure what's up. I tried re-wiping the phone (full wipe) and re-installing the rom. No Luck. Also tried Zone DNA rom and I get the same message. Is there something I need to flash to recognize the sim card?
Any ideas or advice is greatly appreciated!!

Flash crpalmers 2.0 kernel and make sure to wipe cache and dalvik.

Well I tried flashing that kernel but it didn't help. Thanks for the suggestion though!
Have you tried RUU back to stock and then format from settings? Please be sure you're in stock Rom with stock recovery.

I had one that did that, had it replaced. Nothing done to it would get the calling and data back. The replacement is about to get replaced, it starts ringing on it's own, even has it's own ringtone. Cute trick.

RUU is new to me. What exactly is that? I was thinking about trying to go back to stock but wasn't sure if it was necessary. Is there a thread that shows how to RUU back to stock? Sounds like I may have to go back to stock anyhow so I can return the phone......

I'm having a somewhat similar problem, but not to your extent. I've flashed the same ROM you mention above and when leaving a Wifi connection to 4G (like when I leave my house and get in the car), my sim card gives an error. I get it back to working properly by rebooting, but it's a pain.
This occurs for me on other Sense 5 ROMS too.
Well I just got off the phone with vzw customer service and they are sending out a new phone. According to the rep, the latest update that rolled out on 4/15 was supposed to address this sim card issue. Specifically the "PUK locked" message, which is what I was getting when I flashed back to the latest stock ROM.
