I'm a little scared to ask this on the official thread so hear goes. How do I add accounts to CM7? I mostly need my gmail account to sync with my phone, but it would also be nice to have Facebook as well. I'm guessing a good start would be to install the google applications. Any help is much appreciated.
install GAPPS (google apps), then install facebook app.
I have just bought the new Samsung Galaxy S3 in the UK and loving the phone so far, coming from the HTC Desire so quite a big jump ins size and spec ways.
One small problem, I'm having so far is I have added the Google Calendar widget to one of the home screens but when I tap on the widget it doesn't launch the calendar app. When I had the desire, if I clicked on the top of the calendar it would launch the calendar on the current day and if I tapped on one of the appointments the calendar would open up on the day for that appointment, but neither of these are working.
I also can't find the calendar app within the app drawer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
The calender is now called S Planner in the app drawer.

Thanks this worked, I disabled the S-Planner as I thought this was Samsung's own bloatware app. This isn't the default google calendar app though which I prefer, is there a way to disable the S-Planner and use the genuine Google Calendar App. It seems a bit strange to me that samsung have replaced the google calendar with their own version. Not to keen on S-planner
Thanks
I have the same question, is it possible to replace s-planner with google calendar app?

Anybody know where to find google calendar app?
I searched on the Play store and it's on there. Someone pulled it out of ICS 4.0.3.

Hello,
The S3 comes with a calendar that support events and tasks.
The event are synced just fine with google calendar. However, the S3 tasks are not being synced at all to google calendar/tasks. From the other direction, google tasks are not being synced to the S3 calendar...
Is there a way to make them sync?
Thanks
I need the same.. ¿¿any suggestion??
Can anyone help with this issue, or come up with an alternative?
I'm sure a solution will help many users...
Thanks
seems to be an omission of functionality with the S3, I investigated this and couldnt find a solution. Ended up using "CalenGoo" instead which does sync calendar and tasks.
A real pity
Thanks, I will try calenGoo. It's more expensive than other calendar apps, but if you say it's good I will go for it.
I'm looking a calendar app. But so many calendar apps is in there.
Plz recommend calendar app.
Thanks.

Download it from Play Store here
For me Bussiness Calendar
I just found the calendar app, which is created by the core developer team. When I choose to add my Google calendar, it shows the names of my calendars, but it doesn't sync them.
In the comments someone mentioned, that the app can only sync the first calendar, but that didn't worked for me, either. Has anyone the same problem?
I'm not syncing my calendar so I can't tell.
However, you can have a look at the existing calendar-app bugs related to syncing here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-calendar-app?field.searchtext=sync
Maybe looking at them will help you. Otherwise, please file a new bug report.
You can log in with the Ubuntu One account you use on your phone.
Thanks for the reply. By reading the bug reports I get aware, that for adding a calender you have to select it and than select it under account settings, too. I thought just selecting it in the calandar app would be enough, so it was just me beeing too stupid to add my google calendar.
