It does say that he doesn't like WidgetLocker
I'd prefer AOSP lockscreen as well if anyone figures out how to get that.

The Criskelo ROM has the AOSP Lockscreen in it and it was created by JKAY (Much love to him/her for this). It is enabled via app in the ROM.
JKAY also has a post in the Themes and Apps section regarding this lockscreen for other ROMS as well. Just search the Development and the Themes areas for these and you will find them.
Press THANKS if I have helped...
Just flash Criskelo or CyanogenMod ROM. They are the best i9100 ROM's.
Widget Locker is a peace of crap! It has so many bugs and glitches on i9100. It is also non-free and too expensive.
you can also install revolution rom from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1171523 and use Kitchen app to install JKay's ASOP lock screen
Sometimes you just can't get what you want...
Unfortunately the lockscreen on android is pretty well integrated with the rom you're running. Either you replace it with something like WidgetLocker, which basically disables the stock lockscreen, and replaces it with its own. Or you need to install a rom with the stock android lockscreen built in.
It's either that, or find the exact rom you're using, and get a dev to some how patch in the stock lockscreen to that rom. You'd still then need to root your phone to apply the patch. It's a lot of work just to add a lockscreen to a crappy stock rom though.

If I'm not mistaken... I believe that the JKAY mod in the themes and apps thread is for stock roms / non-deodexed.
I may be wrong but again... search the forums. Search is your FRIEND!

What you say is not true. Before I had the JVQ ROM I had the JVH ROM without anny lockscreen then only the stock one. I found the lockscreen on XDA for flashing without a ROM, theme, or anything els so only the new loxkscreen.
So it is possible to do this you say not but it is possible.
Unfortunately the lockscreen from JVH don't work on the JVQ otherwise I had flash that one.
An second I have a no stock ROM yeah the theme is stock but my ROM is deoxed and have Voodoo Kernel so why far from stock.
So will annyone upload one for JVQ????

Wrong forum. This is SGS2, not SGS.
Yes!! The Revolution ROM with Jkay Theme Settings App...
The Oxygen ROM comes with AOSP lock screen too... It's an AOSP ROM...
Is there a way to get the Touchwiz calendar working on a CM7 rom?
I don't like the functionality of the AOSP calendar and I've tried every other calendar replacement on the market, just want the Twiz Cal back.
You should be able to copy the Calendar.apk and CalendarProvider.apk over from the system/apps folder.
Here is a thread on how to change TouchWiz calendar to Stock. I imagine you can go the other way if you have the TouchWiz APKs.

Can anyone confirm?
I think the touchwiz apps require twframework-res, which CM7 definitely doesn't have.
I'm pretty sure all the touchwiz apps need to touchwiz framework so they won't work on cm7 or miui

That is my understanding. My questions is:
Is there a way to get it working on CM7?

Unless if you actually took the Touchwiz Calendar and built it from scratch again, then probably not. All stock TW apps on your phone are hardcored with the actual framework...
Sorry, I don't think its possible.

Hey all, running Cleanrom ICS, after running a senseless rom I'm sort of hooked on the ICS stock messaging app. If I was to install it would it just work, or do I need to find someone who'd compile it with the Sense framework?
try and install it and see.. if it doesnt work then more things need to be done or its not possible( but i think it is )

Darn, sorry then
Yeah, I had seen that app, but it also has adverts in it. and I'm honestly unsure how to pack the stock ICS messenger into an APK. :/
bump.
Anyone know what I need to do to get the messaging APK?
im running the asop messaging app on joelz bamf 0.7 just fine but you can't use the sense messaging app at the same time so with root explorer I renamed the sense mms.apk to mms.bak in case i wanted to revert back to it then pasted the aosp messaging apk into the system app folder and installed from there and it works fine and loads contact photos it just doesn't intergrate with the sense lockscreen.
I've flashed around a bit with different roms and as much as I enjoy touchwiz, I love the stock mms app that comes in AOKP/ vanilla android ICS and was just wondering if anyone had made any type of universal port for touchwiz roms that work just as smoothly? Saw a couple on the play store but they were total rubbish and full of bugs. gonna stay on AOKP in the meantime. Just curious if anyone else shared the thought

I did see that but I read the actual ability to receive and download MMS is broken in it. And I'm not knocking the Samsung mms, I just personally prefer the overall UI and feel of the stock 4.0 one. Sammys is great though.

Serendipity Rom has Samsung stock feel with aosp as well. I know he uses the mms /sms app in his Rom yer looking for.

That's the problem. Even if you get a compatible full asop mms, you have to keep the default samsung app. If you delete it, it will cause problems and FCs.

Thank you phalanx, I hadn't realized serendipity incorporated aosp apps into touchwiz. That does further spark my curiosity as to if It's possible to pull the AOSP mms app as a stand alone apk that I could keep and install no matter what ROM I switch to since serendipity makes it seem possible if I just disable the stock mms app.

Yer welcome and i wish it was that easy. But Im sure he had to do some work to get it to work properly. I would PM him and ask if he'd be willing to share some info with ya. He's a nice guy.

you could theme the Samsung mms.apk to look like the AOSP mms.apk if nothing else, if all you're looking for is the aesthetics of the AOSP mms.apk
Good point, jrod ! That's actually what i like about it is how it looks. I really kinda despise the stock Samsung sms app

How do you do this? I'm the same way as jrod. Love what TouchWiz offers aside from the messaging app. Favour the look of stock ICS one instead. (Because I like the pictures inside the message thread)

Simple way would be to change your pngs in your drawable-hdpi folder and change some xmls as well, not really all that difficult once you get started
Edit: sorry, completely forgot that Samsung's has text bubbles, so it would get a little trickier, I'll look into it
Edit: So, I've been real busy with school and stuff, so I haven't been able to look at the apk. Also, I don't have a Samsung Mms.apk since I like the AOSP feel of ICS better and have been on AOKP since it came out. So in trying to find a Samsung Mms.apk in our dev threads, I found that Serendipity 9 has an AOSP Mms.apk in it and is TW-based. It also has a lot of other AOSP apks in it, and it looks nice and runs pretty well. (flashed it to see everything first-hand). That might be an answer

So I'm running 3rd Dimension Anorexia and I'm loving it so far. My only beef with it is the camera. I just don't like it. Is there anyway to, like the title says, get the same camera app from sense on here?

Nope. The sense camera, like the rest of sense related things, requires the sense framework to operate.
Well are there any other camera apps out there that anyone could recommend that are more similar to the sense one?
Hey this thread should be in the question forum lol silly newbie
