Hi
I want to delete
Daily news
Social hub
How they are named in system/app?
Sent from my GT-I5800 using Tapatalk

Just use http://www.appbrain.com/app/root-uninstaller/org.baole.rootuninstall it is simple and easy to use

thanks for the app link, helps with a few of those apks I didn't know anything about

Try root explorer.

in root exploerer it is faster to delete the files

In Root Explorer, you are looking for:
Daily brefing: InfoAlarm.apk + InfoAlarm.odex
Social Hub: UnifiedInbox.apk + UnifiedInbox.odex

You also can use Titanium to uninstall stock apps...

and I suggest to use Titanium backup.

App to extract all downloaded apps (APKs) before flashing new ROM

Is there an app that easily does that just simple copy and paste of apks from all possible places to the sdcard
I hate how i have to copy apk's from different locations like /system/sd (ext/a2sd drive) and other places..I dont want backup (.tgz) by TItanium backup
don't know if it works, but try to search all the file using an explorer searching for *.apk and then copy them all to a folder. btw i will lose all the data if u don't save them. i think a backup with titanium or nadroid + data is better

Because readers hub is a system app, found in system/apps.
titanium backup can't restore system apps. like, it couldnt' restore my clock application, i had to manually restore it.
How do I restore readers hub manually? I have the same problem. I flashed eastern european rom and reader hub is different (very ugly one) so I removed it using titanium backup and tried to restore from titanium made backup. kobo an pres reader restores just fine but not readers hub
You can get Readers Hub app from the ROM you like and install it using ADB. Its as easy as:
1) Get the phone in ClockworkMod and connect it to the PC.
2) adb push ReadersHub.apk /system/app
3) Restart phone and there's your app
Please cancdomeone extract readers hub for me :-(
Please.. Also can,I,copy it using root file explorer and reboot? Is it gonna be the same as pushing with adb?

Titanium restores system apps just fine for me, I occasionally see this with any random app, it's almost like the back up is corrupted in someway.
Usually you can restore from the the source apk then restore the data only with titanium but not always

Request for all system apps safe to freeze in titanium backup

I was curious if someone could or has a txt file they can post of all apps in system safe to freeze via titanium backup ..
Instead of deleting via root explorer.
This would be cool if we can get a detailed script

Its not freezing, but gives a pretty decent explanation as to which apk's you can delete and/or consequences. Check it out:

[Q] How to remove Games by PopCap

Hello all,
I've recently rooted my sk17i and removed some stock apps using Terminal Emulator and it worked perfect for me.
But I still have two apps that I want to remove but I am not able to find thier .apk name:
1. Games by PopCap
2. Games & apps
Any one know which .apk s to remove ??
Thanks
Install an app that gives you ability to view system files and folder (Root Explorer or ES File Explorer), navigate to system/app folder using one of the aftermentioned apps, and there will you find apps you want to delete.
Edit: I don't know their correct names, but you will be able to reckognize them by icon.
Use Titanium Backup and you will find it quite fast.

Thank you Deyo
I tried that before but didn't work
now I installed Root Uninstaller and could remove those apps
How come?, as I used those two app for the same reason as you - deleting unwanted apps, and there were no problem.

Titanium Backup shows ALL apps(system and user) installed on your phone by their name, allows you to backup and restore them with userdata and lots of other stuff. Check it out, it is actually a must-have root app.

Titanium Backup, ROM Toolbox, System Cleanup ( you can find it here on XDA or Play Store) or using a Root Explorer - delete the apk files

So i should just directly delete the apk from the /system/app folder?
You should backup the folder on sdcard first
...Xperia neo...KA ICS 21.1...Suave v6...
Titanium backup is probably the easiest way to do it.
