if you have the original case with no opening for the proximity sensor, email:
Customer Service <[email protected]>
and you may be getting free replacement. I just got mine and it is excellent. I had the previous one drilled, but it never worked well.
good luck!
Do you have a pic of the new case?
UPDATE
I have emailed fellowes, and have received a response. They say they are unaware of this issue, and request a receipt and more info on the problem.
I will post updates later....
i dont have the picture ,but simply the top of the new case looks just like the bottom, it is completely symmetrical.
To be honest, I first emailed BodyGlove, they responded about a week later and they forwarded my email to Fellows with their comments that I am right. So, maybe the first step is needed as well?
The address:
[email protected]
there is also a special address at fellows for BodyGlove branded products. Better chance they know abotu the problem:
[email protected]
The effort is worth it,the new case is perfect.

One more reason to wait for the innocase from Seidio...
Will the body glove case work with the Tilt 2 from AT&T? Is it worth the $30?
Great Case
I got my new case in the mail. this is a great case. Definitely worth the money. i cant believe tmo is still selling the old DEFECTIVE version of this case!?! when i confronted the guy to tmo, they are clueless of this issue.. lol

I've been trying to find out the answer to this as well. Some websites out there say it will fit the Tilt 2, but some say it's only compatible with the T-Mo Branded version. I guess I'll call Body Glove tomorrow to find out.
Okay, so I spoke with a representative with the company who seemed fairly informed about the product (I believe her name was Ellen, but I can't really recall) and she told me that the Body Glove would fit the Tilt 2, but it would cover up the "Push To Talk" button. She also shared the issue with tilting, but that's something we already knew.
She added that there are 2 versions of the GSM case out on the market; and the one that compensates for the proximity sensor can only be guaranteed if you purchase through them at bodyglove.com (at the moment anyway).
Also, providing coupon code "neato" will give you 20% off the product.
With that said, I guess I'll have to order through them to be sure I get the one I want without too much hassle.
Alright, so I got this the other day and tried it on my Tilt 2.
I must say, it fits rather poorly... The GSM version is pretty unusable on the Tilt 2. The front enclosure is made too small for the phone so it doesn't even snap in. The phone fits inside the rear part of the case, but is very loose and only half way snaps in (I've actually had the phone fall out of it... luckily I was on carpet).
I'm gonna give these guys a call back and see what they can offer me.
I guess it was worth a try
I have gotten mine all ready and it works much better. The big change is in the face plate which is now just a ring around the outside instead of wrapping around the speaker. The funny thing is while I was waiting for it to come in I started using a hip pouch and now I'm happy without the Body Glove.
My new Evo 4g LTE arrived today. Fairly quickly I noticed that there are at least 7 small bubbles in the screen. I cannot feel them on the surface, so I assume they are between the glass and the LCD screen.
Has anyone else had this problem. I have an email out to my Sprint Business Rep asking for a replacement, but its too soon for a reply.

If it is indeed a defect in the glass, please exchange it!
I don't recall seeing this problem around, so if your glass has bubbles it could be a bad egg

Hmm. Yes. I believe the very first thing I did was remove the protective plastic on the screen. I had to remind grandma to do a similar thing when she needed to replace her old clock radio.
The point of the question was to see if this is a known issue with build quality. Anyway, I am headed to a corporate Sprint store on my lunch break to get a replacement.
Here's the big update.
I went into a Sprint corporate store earlier today and they immediately gave me a new Evo with a clean screen. Coincidently, a rep from HTC was visiting. He looked despairingly at the bubbly screen, said this is the first he's seen. Apparently my defective phone is going straight back to HTC Quality Control for review. I got a free HTC carabiner and wall charger/usb cable for my troubles.
So, I quickly and painlessly got a replacement phone and HTC is supposedly going to try and prevent similar bubbles in the future.
Mine was initially fine, but last night three of those bubbles appeared down the middle of the screen.
How has the new one held up?
I am going to replace mine later this week due to the "bubbles"
So far so good after almost 3 weeks.

So on my way from the car to the train station this morning, I managed to drop my phone on the ground.. I've dropped it a couple of times before, and nothing had ever happened.. but this time as soon as I dropped it I knew I wasn't getting that lucky this time. Maybe its the freezing temperatures, I don't know.. but my screen now has massive spiderwebbing in two of the corners, and cracks running all over the screen. The last day to do returns for the holidays (which is when I bought it) was January 15. I also didn't get insurance.. am I screwed? :/
I have seen operable cracked screen DNA's go for about $300-400 on eBay. In the long run you could do that and then buy one second hand without a cracked screen for about $450-$500, so in reality a $100 screen replacement
You could also have a shot yourself here. The internals don't look very hard to be honest
You can get some ideas here also
Contact a HTC repair centre first and maybe it works out cheaper?
Good luck

Thanks for the information! I'm not sure how much I trust myself taking apart my phone, but I may not have another choice. HTC RMA is asking $220, and it would take 7-10 business days (not including shipping).. I may potentially buy the screen shown in your link and try to do it myself. Although it says "Digitizer Touch Screen", it would only be the glass I'd be replacing, correct? The capacitive layer is still working perfectly fine, so I don't want to mess with that..

It would be the entire assembly you're replacing, it all comes as one unit rather than the glass and digitizer separately. From what I've seen from the pictures of the disassembled DNA, it doesn't LOOK as though it would be terribly difficult.

My thoughts exactly. Just make sure all of the cables are the correct length on the eBay items. (I have received 2 screens for 2 different models that had short flex cables) and I tried to force one of them and it snapped, the other one the guy said they were all the same so he refunded me. You could check if any other eBay users that have purchased them have left positive feedback too.
It would be awesome if genuine dealers were entitled to sell the screens but they are OEM and only to be installed by a qualified repair centre. LAME HUH!
However, DNA looks pretty basic and you could always post pictures of your progress and get some help from us guys if you get stuck Good luck guy
Hey everyone,
So today I noticed that the black rubber that is under the battery flap of my phone is starting to peel off. It isn't too terrible yet, but I do use the waterproof feature of my phone regularly and I don't want to jeopardize my phone if this peels off. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement cover? I checked eBay and didn't have much luck so I am hoping some of you guys may know of another site that supplies the OEM parts.
Thank you!

Yeah a common thing on these phones (USB cover door). I have not found any yet either, AliExpress had some but were pulled or ran out (just checked again they are back now, so AliExpress has them again --
https://www.google.com/search?q=Z3v+usb+cover+&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8). Better link -- http://www.aliexpress.com/item/for-Sony-Xperia-Z3V-D6708-OEM-SIM-Card-Micro-SD-USB-Charging-Port-Dust-Plug-Waterproof/32430237429.html
I had to take my (wife's phone as well) phone back to VZW and get a replacement phone due to this. If your phone is within the one year warranty go to VZW store and show them they will get you another phone.
I did a test and if you apply a tiny amount of Vaseline on the seal it will work better as well as make a more watertight seal, just lightly coat the rubber seal, good idea to do all doors like that, I have a product called "dielectric grease" that works even better, use sparingly, can get at auto parts store.
So glad this is an easy purchase if I need it. Thanks.

Agreed, Sony should let people have access to their supplier. But then again Sony is greedy and wants the revenue from out of warranty repairs.

Thankfully, I was raised in an Italian household and in Europe, the comma replaces the decimal point. So if something was say $3.50, in Europe, it would be written $3,50.
I did try to order one and to no surprise, they are out of stock. I did find a set of them on eBay though.

I found the USD currency price at top of page next to the language selector. Says 6.45 - 5.24 USD, there is a difference in USD and EU prices.
Glad you found one on Ebay.
My wife and I visited the VZW store today her usb cover seal tore again and I am still trying to get a good replacement for mine, both refurbished phone VZW sent out were junk, one the camera had a dab of something under glass on the lens and the other one the display was brown in tint or hue, if I don't get a good refurb in the next few tries I am going to just buy a cover and be done with it.

When you get your next refurbished device just remove the flap that you need from it. Just be careful when pulling it out and hold the white connector ribbon really good so that your fingers don't slide down it and rip the cover off (from the white piece).

There's nothing dishonest about that at all. They are sending you a replacement phone expecting to get one back without a flap, correct? I bet they would even give you permission if you explain that you aren't happy with the quality of the refurbished devices. The flaps are easily interchangeable without any repercussions.

No worries man. I'm glad there are still honest people out there with a conscience. I would suggest you to ask them though so there is no question about what you are doing. I'm fairly certain that they will allow you to. I would ask technical support rather than a normal CSR though. They seem to have more information. I've asked similar questions about refurbs and they are usually willing to do what it takes to make the customer satisfied (within reasonable limits). No harm in asking right?

Wow, pricey huh?
Yeah the price has gone up from $9 since I purchased, but still totally worth it. I got some wireless chargers and am only going to use those from now on.
I had an "almost" successful trade-in from Samsung.com, I sent my S22U and they just received it yesterday. It has no cracks nor scratches at all, it is in prestine condition, I took pictures and videos before boxing it in. Then i received an email saying that the phone have "crack" on body and / screen! So they're going to charge me $155! I was so mad and I immediately called CS and i told them It has no cracks at all before before sending it. Good thing they have an easy to talk to CS. It was resolved immediately because I told them i took pictures and video of it right before i put on the box.
This was my 2nd trade-in nightmare, the 1st one was the Smartwatch trade-in, same thing. They said it has crack also. I wonder who really are checking these?
Samsung is notorious for doing this. Happens with repairs too and has been going on for years.
Many have reported similar experiences.
Another option on addition to taking pics of it is to let a FedEx rep examine the phone then photograph and box it there. ALWAYS insure the shipping for the new replacement price of the phone. Double box and pad/tape it up well.

Yeah, i had to carefully wrapped it from the S23U shipping wraps / box and even installed my old case
Unreal! Samsung tried to do the same thing to me. Wanted to take $155.00 off the value of the Trade-in cause they said the screen was cracked. But i had removed all my accounts from the phone, factory reset it, packed it up in its original box, took pictures and wrote down the IEMI and Serial numbers. Phone was in MINT condition without even a scratch. So they quickly reversed course and gave me the full $500 trade-in value. But it's the first Trade-in where I have had a problem with them. They must have some seriously crooked people on payroll at their warehouses in Texas because obviously I am not the first one they have done this too.
My trade-in with Samsung Germany (S22U Exynos) went flawlessly (sent back with screen protector still on, in the original box). Is it an issue people in USA are often having with the trade-ins?
My S22U trade-in went perfectly too.
I'm in the UK and I actually traded in my 12GB/512GB SnapDragon S9080 which was a Hong Kong spec S22U (and cost me £300 less than the equivalent UK spec phone initially). I got £620 trade-in value for it.
I also only factory reset it as opposed to removing my Google Account first so that debunks that rumour too!

Did a class-action against Samsung US got launched in the recent years? If many people are encountering that kind of stuff, I'm nearly surprised that it hasn't been done (yet?).
Small scratch below the camera, samsung called badly cracked and offered the same $155 charge.
I will never trade in with samsung again.

Darn it. I had to rush out my shipment so I had no time to take photos or videos. I also didn’t have the phone box so I just put case and wrapped phone in bubble wrap in a tight box. Does have minor scratches on screen as I only used it with case and no screen guard but nothing else

If you don't use a screen protector it will likely get scratched.
Always keep the original box. When shipping place that in a sturdy box that's bigger and place bubble wrap all around it so it's not loose or in contact with the box, seal with tape.
Get a larger box and repeat.
ALWAYS fully insure the shipping. If prepaid make sure the issuer of the label is fully insuring YOUR phone! If in any doubt pay for the shipping yourself. Use FedEx or UPS, 2nd day is best.

My trade in S22 Ultra was in pristine condition.
I contacted support on chat and it took the representative less than five minutes to cancel the charge.
Did they actually checked?
Are they taking a chance that we are going people are going to suck it up and pay $155?
This is borderline fraudulent.
My trade in went down to 1$ value :-( It was originally 5$ so I'm not that disappointed
Seems like this is US problem mostly. My S22U went in... took Samsung 10 days to process and then I've got email that has been done. So my only complain could be lack or very minimal information provided of what is going on.

The instructions for Samsung state to put the phone in the box nothing else. No cases, no accessories etc. Just the bare phone. And you put it in the S23U box and put the s23 box in the shipping box that it came in. At least that how you supposed to do it. I always have my original box so I put mine in the S22U box.
