[Q] Audio Problem - G Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have had my G Tablet for a week now and I'm running Vegan Tab 5.1.1 and it's been great! I have had a few bumps with it but it's fine! But I'm having a strange audio problem, sometimes when it's in sleep mood it will just blast a hissing noise like a static picture on TV for like 10 seconds and also sometimes when coming out of sleep mode there's no audio and I have to reboot it. Then it's back. Go figure anyone have the same issue???

Should I get a request for a replacement???

This has been discussed in other threads. It appears to be an issue with some units. I get it sometimes -- I just reboot the tablet. You could request a replacement, but there's no guarantee you'll get one without the issue.

so it seems to be a hardware issue then???

I'm guessing hardware issue... mine seems to happen the most after waking up after I have been playing videos, youtube HD or from the SD card... I'm guessing it's a Tegra 2 issue because both activties require the hardware acceleration... It's really annoying.

Titan II Sound and Heat Issues

Has anybody been having issues with their sound? It worked fine when I was first using the phone, but when I plugged it into my headphones today, the sound only comes out of one side. I thought it was an issue with my headphones, so I went through a couple others and it was the same. It does the same with speakers in my car/home.
I clicked around on the sound enhancement to see if it would fix, and it didn't. Factory reset also did not solve this issue.
Could this be from the heating issue I've been having? While I was going through some apps and using it, the phone became very warm, borderline hot. Anybody having this issue as well?
Sorry for long post.
I have same issue with sound and keyboard delay issue too.
Titan II is so buggy.
Disabling the sound key press, eliminated the keyboard delay issue for me.

Galaxy S3 Freeze AFTER recording video??

Hi there. Today i just noticed some lag after i recorded a video. I recorded a video for about a minute and a half to 2 minutes each time and then when i pressed stop on the screen...it stopped recording but kind of jammed or froze on that same screen still showing the red stop button, both times it did this. Is that normal for Galaxy's to do or is it just my phone? I went to test it again later but i recorded a shorter video and was fine and no lag, but seems that larger or longer videos seem to freeze or jam it for a bit. I was in a very dusty, dirt road area and just maybe though something may of gotten into the phone and wrecked it a bit but just had it replaced with a brand new device nonetheless.

I personally haven't heard of/read about anyone experiencing this (nor have I experienced this myself) so maybe it's just an isolated incident - have you tried searching?
I regularly record 10 mins vids fine if it's of interest
Are/were you on stock?/root?
Are you on 4.1.2 stock rom with custom kernel ?
Then try to search its widely known issue
Hope this helps

What rom are you using custom? stock?
im on Android 4.0 stock rom. It happened two or 3 times yesterday. The device is as is out of the box...no root, nothing customised or anything.
If you are experiencing this issue recording to external microSD, try setting it to the internal SD card storage to see if it fixes the issue. If it does, then your microSD card might be dodgy.

ok cool yeah it is recording to external sd card. the card seems to work fine though, it reads and writes fine so maybe it just took time to save the whole file onto it?
I had this problem, too.
I enabled the camera stabilisation and the bug was gone...
Hope this was helpful

Random Speaker Crackle

Is anyone else getting a slight "crackle" when doing things with the device?
While my device isn't doing it all of the time, the speaker will occasionally randomly crackle/pop when playing a brief sound (such as the sound made while tapping app icons or adjusting the volume).
Doesn't seem to do it when there's an actual constant sound playing though, which is pretty odd =/
I heard a crackle/pop on a display model at bestbuy. I hope its not a problem on all of them.

I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one haha.
This sort of problem seems more indicative of a voltage issue than an actual speaker issue though at least, which means it could be fixed in an update if it is a widespread problem.
It reminds me of a problem I had with another device that was more or less fixed by either changing the governor or increasing minimum voltage.
Welp, my thread got moved here and this forum is pretty much a graveyard. If anybody else has this issue and happens to figure out how to fix it, please PM me, as I won't be bothering to check this thread.
As near as I can tell, it only ever happens while it's USB-attached to a PC (in my case, a Mac laptop).
Mine crackles for a few seconds every time I open the camera app. Didn't start out that way. Want to say it started about a couple weeks after I got the phone. Maybe after an update but not sure. Everything works so I've just ignored it.
Hi NeoRage. Am getting the same problem (crackling when opening the camera) - did the problem go away?
I have the issue too. S6 Edge I noticed it when editing my contacts, it cant be good that electricity is arcing someplace! but like someone else said, it keeps working so... I don't know if it coincided with Marshmallow but it was right in that same timeframe.

(Z5 Compact / E5823) Speaker volume lowering itself

Greetings.
Just bought the Z5C. Phone is awesome, but when I play anything over the speakers (incoming call, music, etc.) the volume is good for about a second, and then it turns very silent.
Anyone experienced this, or knows something about the issue?

Hey! I had this same issue for the first day that I had the phone. It was driving me crazy. What drives me even more crazy is I don't what I did to fix it. I am not entirely sure, but I noticed a difference after pairing the Z5C to a bluetooth speaker for about 30 minutes. When I unpaired and went back to the speakers on the phone they were substantially better. Hope this helps...

I was trying different things on my phone and decided to factory reset it. After it rebooted the same problem is back. Low volume for second, then super quiet. I tried replicating the same process I thought somehow fixed the issue before and it didn't help. I've tried messing with all the audio settings, toggles here and there but nothing seems to fix it. I wonder what this might be and why the phone all of a sudden started working like it should last time. Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi, I had the same problem with lower sound from speakers after 30 seconds. After disabling "STAMINA" the speakers are very loud. And if you put "Audio settings" to "standby aktive" you could even activate "STAMINA" without speaker loudness problems
Yeah happened to me yesterday as I was listening to the Radio app while on a walk. Went from relatively loud to super low quiet. I thought maybe I pocket bumped the volume or something.
Same problem. In my case, I noticed audio almost stops from one of the speakers (sometimes the top one, sometimes the bottom one, wich indicates it may not be a hardware issue). Happens on games, music, videos, or calls with the speaker on. Seems to be random.
searching for this problem (this is also happening to me (mostly top speaker while i playing and mostly games
is only one speaker(top) for me not 2 speakers
(maybe the heat? if im not the only one is hardware or software? ) it was at 5.1.1 so updated to 6.0 still the same.. maybe speaker wont working well while heated? tried to shake the device thought maybe something loose connection inside

marshmallow Bluetooth problem

Ive started having crackling sounds with Bluetooth Anyone else having those issues? unrooted Vs990 running marshmallow, Nova beta
If there is one thing that has seriously troubled me with this phone it is the bluetooth performance. About every 2-3 months mine seems to degrade. It gets to the point where if any other data signal is happening (running another app, email downloading in the background, etc) while I'm streaming music over bluetooth it cuts out, stutters, crackles, etc. This even occurs if my music is on my SD card and not coming over a data connection.
If I do a factory reset it completely clears it up and I have no issues for about 2 months, at which point the degrading starts again and within a month gets so bad again I have to do another factory reset.
I have the same issue... Extremely frustrating as I use bluetooth headphones and speakers and both have the same problem.
I actually have zero BT issues with this phone. I had to get rid of my n6 due to BT problems so i understand the frustration but i seem to ne free of this. I use BT all day every day
After doing some research I came across a small blurb in reddit where someone fixed a Samsung with a similar problem. Followed the rabbit hole to battery optimization and it seems to fixed my problems. Here's my posted solution. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/help/marshmallow-blue-tooth-problems-solved-t3409943/page1
