okay guys i bought an x10a through atnt after about 2 or 3 roms later my phone now says its a x10i i want to go back to 10a the big question here is if i install a 2.1 x10a rom then install z's beta4 2.2 rom will i just be right back at x10i or will it keep its 10a signature ? or is there some other 2.2 rom that i can install to let me keep my 10a at a 10a
And what is the difference for you if when you are on 2.2 it's 10a or 10i?
dude... there is no differemce between x10a and an x10i.. why the hell do you care if x10a stays or not?
X10i x10a they are the same phone but built for different regions.
X10i seems to european nets.
The x10a in other regions?
I think changing the Baseband would effect some different net behaviours...
I think x10i is for the european market and x10a for all others like america etc.

The only difference is a few lines in build.prop as far as I know, you can change them with root explorer or flashtool.

+1) there is no difference in the software. They just have different hardware configurations for the different 3G broadcast frequencies.
If you still want it to say x10a, use the app Root Explorer, and long press on build.prop file, and open in text editor. Then change x10i to X10a wherever you see it in the file. Save and close. REBOOT.
I haven't been able to get on 3g since it hit 10i I just get edge

I change my build.prop in order to be able to update my x10 mini pro to 2.1. After the update, I found out that I can't use data connection from my mobile operator. Wifi is working for me. Anyone experienced the same problem? Solution please..

I had the same problem. Fixed it by connecting to a wifi, then go to Settings / Sony Ericsson / Settings download. It may pop up a list of operators to choose from.

It pops up "could not download setting. Retry?" I tried to manually set up the access point. Still doesn't work. What's more?

Sent from my U20i using XDA App
I am having the same problem do you know how i can fix this? this is getting pretty annoying... didnt had this problem when i was running on 1.6 !
just when i thought it couldnt get worse!
Did you re-enter your APN settings?
build.prop has nothing to do with it. Check your APN settings. (Also, while it is obvious check if operator didnĀ“t start having problems with data connection for some reason in your area. )

followed this and solved my problem, thanks anyways!
Which means, for future reference, that the APN settings were not set.
Does anyone here know the full reason behind phone to stutter? It appear to happen every time when I use 2 apps at the same time (playing music poweramp + open any app for period of time). I just want to know what triggers the phone to stutter and restart.
Thanks

Not exactly, my phone stutter while I listening to music and playing game. Awfully strange, this didn't happen on the Android 1.6.
Wat rom or se firmware r u running?
Sent from XDA Premium from my X10a rooted running 2.3.2 gingerbread rom from rdannar
This could be caused by several things
1. Too much junk running in the background
2. You have not enabled JIT on your phone. Doing so makes a huge improvement
Also, I have tried the latest firmware, running on 2.1.55. I've found that last firmware was much smoother, not sure why.
There are also hardware limitations. The phone is capped to 30fps, a limitation that could be causing the slight lag you're experiencing.
can anyone help with an issue I'm having...
I've flashed Wolfs Xperia TW 007 rom and its' working great...except that I just found out that I can't send a message; they all hang on "sending"...
The only thing that's not "per the 007 rom" is the theme that I installed...I'm not sure if that would have an effect or not.
I have exactly same problem. U cant receive either.

Try to install Handcent sms.
I just did that but it's hanging at the same spot....I think it's some underlying part of the messaging architecture.
Ive just found out it is a problem with baseband 65,
Ive just flashed to 67 and its working again

Hey that's great to hear....do you have a link to the BB67?

I used X10i 67
Messaging now works, thanks very much for the help
I can confirm that there are text message problems with baseband 65 on WB's CM6 rom. I posted it a couple times in the devs thread back when the 2.1.A.0.492 update came out.
use baseband 58.
I was using 65 on cm6 v006 and had no problems, just noticed problem after flashing v007

Anyone knows how to enable changing song in WB-XPERIA TW v3.9.0? It was possible to change them on Wolfbreak's 2.2 rom in poweramp and winamp , while the screen was off. Is it possible to have that in 2.3.3?

WB 2.2 ROM was Cyanogen, the current one is stock,
so short answer is no, not possible.
Someone needs to port this feature for non-CM ROMs
and I bet it will not be very easy.
Damn. I guess i'll go back to 2.2 then.
Thx for info
