Can any one help me out? I made a stupid move and deleted my 'dockservice.odex' file, along with my 'PortalApp.odex'. Does anyone know where i can download these files? Or can someone post them for me?
what version are you running?
1.2.6
1.5.2
1.5.7
AT&T or Bell?
1.5.7 on AT&T
go re-flash the sbf - if you have rooted your atrix, you will need to follow those original steps
what do i use to reflash? and when i do reflash, do i lose everything that i have on my phone or from my root?

I need some help with my android device
I have a motorola Atrix
i rooted it and installed gingerblur 7.7 on it
I then did a factory reset and tried to delete everything off the device but it is still on there and it deleted all the APNS and VPNS
so now i have no internet except through wifi
I tried unrooting it with a uninstaller batch that was included with gingerblur 7.7 when i goto launch it it says unable to find device.
How do i go about restoring my phone to factory settings and delete gingerblur 7.7?
also does rooting void your warrenty with att
gingerblur uninstall
make sure the connection between your computer and phone is set right.
Nevermind, I just flashed the 1.8.3 sbf.
How did you even get gingerblur 7.7? 3.0 is the latest. Also, I don't think gingerblur has an uninstaller. You have to flash an sbf using rsdlite.

Supposedly there is a themes uninstaller app in the themes and apps section on here? Which I heard Kennethpenn himself tell a member on here to try and uninstall gingerblur with that. Don't know for certain that it will work though?
Edit: This is the link for the uninstaller! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1042736
That uninstaller doesn't replace all of the changes that gingerblur makes. I've tried to make a comprehensive uninstaller that will put all the necessary stock files back on the phone but gave up after a series of soft bricks. I read somewhere that you can do a CWM backup and advanced restore only certain aspects (data). With that you may be able to create a backup, flash 1.83 sbf, then restore any lost data with CWM. With different software versions out for ATT phones it can be tricky though.
So, When I run on gingerblur, Can I OTA update in normal case?

No, if you have gingerblur installed, you will have to flash a previous sbf to OTA update, or wait till the new sbf is released and flash it. 1.83 sbf has already been released btw.
Help removing Gingerblur from Atrix MB860
I have been scouring the internet all day looking for a way to remove Gingerblur and put my Atrix MB860 (US, AT&T) back the way it was before I installed the mod. Every link is broken, out of date, or just a flame war between geeks with nothing better to do. Needless to say, this is frustrating.
The instructions on this thread are out of date. I can't find the stock version of 1.2.6 on any site that's not down or seized by the US government. Could someone please post instructions on how to remove Gingerblur from an Atrix MB860 for AT&T with working links? Thanks

Were you on Froyo or Gingerbread before Gingerblur?
Sent from that Atrix... Motorola, where's my ICS?!
Okay, I'm currently flashing the original 1.2.6 SBF to my atrix, to clear it out. Then to my knowledge, to root the 1.8.3 update or whatever it is called I need to plainly update it to the latest update then use Gingerbreak? I tried Gingerbreak, on a flashed SBF of 1.8.3 and that didn't work. It stayed on the window where it said it was currently executing the thing. Am I right? Is there any other way to root the latest update?
btw I used the exe shortcut to get gingerbreak.
Use GladRoot. It works with the new update promise.
updated and rooted with GingerBreak
I updated to 4.1.83 and rooted without problem with GingerBreak. As it was warned, the process deleted the files from the SD internal card. So it's good to make a backup before.
I've tried searching for this answer, but haven't found it, so apologies if it's been answered. I've been tinkering with my phone a lot over the past 4 weeks, and flashes to 1.2.6 always take me back to the way I bought it, like out-of-the-box stock.
However, when I re-flash to 1.8.3, it keeps all my settings, texts, etc. So what's the difference? Is 1.2.6 a full OS flash, and 1.8.3 just an upgrade flash? What about 1.5.7? How would I go back to out-of-the-box? Thanks!
If I understand correctly, the 1.83 update is like the 1.57 update. It simply updates the software/firmware versions on the phone but does not do a clean wipe of the phone's storage.
The 1.26 sbf is a completely clean, stock reset of the phone's internal storage and will blank out anything you have on it. I haven't yet gone to 1.83 but that is my understanding.
If you want to go stock, flash back to 1.26 then OTA update it to 1.57 then OTA to 1.83. So fresh So clean. I have tried just about every mod that is available for the Atrix and I have flash back to 1.26 many times. Running 1.83 OTA now, Gingerbreak, and in the process of adding Gingerblur 3.1.
Ok makes sense, that's what I figured. So if all else fails, 1.2.6 will wipe everything, where the other SBF's won't. Thanks!
the 4.1.57 sbf also flashes the /data partition, so you can use that too.
Thanks for the addition! I had already forgot about that. I got caught up in the whole pre release mayhem and pretty much have been rolling with just rooted stock 1.83 for now.

If I can't mod it, Ill break it trying.
Hi,
I am currently running 4.1.57 on my Atrix and I rooted using gingerbreak. Two questions
1. If I update to 1.83, will I lose the root?
2. If I lose the root, how can I get it back.
Ps:- I don't know his to flash back to 1.26 etc and am a novice with androids.
Help appreciated.

QUICK question
i have 1.5.7 with root and sideload and also both HSUPA and HDMI Mod DO I HAVE To do a fresh flash (2.1.6 or what ever) for can i just update to 1.8.3 with out it missing up my Phone meaning brick
There is a way to update with your current setup but its pretty involved from what ive read. Best bet would be to flash back to 1.57. There is a a flashable SBF available now so you dont have to go back to 1.26 anymore. Flash to 1.57 then OTA to 1.83, use gingerbreak to root ( there are other methods to root with 1.83-i found gingerbreak to be the quickest and easiest for me) Same goes for sideloading, HDMI etc, since your already modded i assume you know your way arond the forum. Check the development and general threads for the Tools you will need. Shouldnt take you too long, Use titanium backup to backup your apps and app settings to make setting your phone back up fast and easy.
Hi, I have a root problem. I rooted the original firmware (1.2.6) using SuperOneClick and am now on firmware 1.8.3. I'm not sure if I still have root, but I'm doing a warranty exchange with AT&T (faulty ear piece) and even though I updated to 1.8.3, the Superuser icon remains there. I definitely need it removed because rooting voids the warranty, and if the warranty is void with the device I send in, it will cost $500.
I've read some people suggest a SBF Flash, but will AT&T be able to tell the firmware isn't the actual stock firmware? Or, if I was to restore to 1.2.6 via SBF Flash, will I then be able to update the firmware through the Android OS to the official AT&T 1.8.3 version?
Another suggestion I saw was the option to Gladroot it then remove root, but since I'm already on 1.8.3, I'd have to SBF Flash back to 1.2.6 to root it, anyways.
So, really the question is, will the SBF Flash remove the Superuser icon? And will AT&T be able to tell if the phone has been SBF flashed?
Thanks so much, and if you've found another way to remove the Superuser icon, please let me know!
If you sbf flash it to 1.2.6 was like how you bought it. So superuser would be gone and it wont be rooted. Also At&t wont be able to tell.

Hi Guys,
I have successfully installed Gobstopper Bell 2.2.2 and then proceed with updating thru OTA to 2.3.4. It all went well and my phone is working.
after a few minutes, i realized i do not have the CWM recovery anymore and my phone is no longer unlocked.
Can i still use the Ihop unlocker here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136261
and can someone please explain to me the 1.8.3 bricks coz i keep seeing this revision, that if you go higher than 1.8.3 and then revert back to a lower version, you will get a brick. ive been trying to understand this for days now but i can't find it anywhere. is this the android version? baseband? system version or kernel?
If ur att atrix user and after ota 2.3.4 u sbf back to old version ull brick ur phone.
If ur int user, and want to go back use gobstoper or fruitcake it will be like a chicken.
