Well ever since i gotten my gtablet last week ive had problems maintaining a stable wifi connection, well i installed a patch i found that patched the ztab drivers over.
forum.tegratab.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=9
and now i cant even connect to a network no more is there anywhere i can find the original drivers for the g tablet wifi and patch them back over?
It happend to me and I solve it by installing the stock firmware from here. Of course you will loose everthing you have installed, so you might need to back up.
i did that, and now it can read the networks and connect, but im back to where i started where it says connected, and i will have connectivity for a minute or two, and lose connectivity, but it will still say connected, im starting to think this is a hardware problem..
Also, i go into the Engineering menu (*#*#4364#*#*) Go to wifi information, then WiFi status, and when the wifi is connected and working, it will display a decent link speed, but when the internet stops working, but is still connected, it says a link speed of 1MBps... so what is that telling you? ps. im standing 2 feet from my router and have Full Bars....
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I fixed it!!!!!! i think this fix whould be a sticky for thise who are having issues of wifi dropping, whick i know alot are!! well i cracked open the tab, and noticed the wifi antenna on how crappy the thing looked.... so i decided my laptop has 2 wifi antennas, what if i rip one out and put it in my gtab... well i went ahead and did so, after noticing the connectors between my laptop and gtab are exactly the same.. and VIOLA!! been connected to my wifi for over an hour without any drops or disconnects... i have attatched an image of how it looks...

Wow that's weird. Maybe try factory reset
Sent from my S-OFF ICS Rezound
Can you post a list of the stuff you have flashed please.
no ****. lets see a list of apps. i throw the phone in the toilet and run.
Did you have the phone connected to power?
I've noticed that once in a while when on a/c power my phone will glitch and just start randomly doing stuff.
But if you were on Wifi it could be possible or maybe even over bluetooth.
Can always turn off phone, reboot to recovery and factory reset/wipe data.

Turn on airplane mode. If it continues, it's something local causing the problem, since all remote access will have been disconnected. With touchscreens, a bit of water or high humidity can cause apparently random "clicks" on the screen, which could appear to be someone doing things.
Unfortunately, it could also have come over 3g/4g if the wrong app had been unknowingly installed, or flashed... Could just be a power issue though. Either way, if it was me, I would have pulled the battery, went and changed my pants, and then post the list of everything flashed and installed. Thank you much.
put gay porn pictures on your phone and noone will look through your pictures twice...normally.
Gay porn protection. Quietly Brilliant. The Rezound forums have got to be the best on here.

Whenever my phone switches to roaming on V I get this notification that my data connectivity was lost, even if I'm connected to WiFi. When I return to Sprint the message persists, i.e. it doesn't go away until I clear it.
Q: Can I disable this message somehow? It's friggin' annoying to have that little triangle in my notification area every 10 minutes (I don't get Sprint signal in my office, there is a V tower on the building literally next door).

I was trying to figure this out myself. I don't see anywhere in settings for us to turn it off though.
I also find this notification annoying.
And searched without any luck.

I too would be interested in learning how to disable this annoying 'feature'.
Thanks

My wifi appears to be going gray but, instead of being unable to browse the internet like most of the threads I've seen here regarding gray wifi icon, I can actually do internet-related things quite fine. I am just curious as to why it is turning gray. Any thoughts?
I'm using the MiniCMSandwich Lite rom.

It's usually like that when it's: just connecting, no sync is enabled, after a period of time it just changes, or there is a problem in the rom.

In ICS and later, it just means that you are connected to WiFi but there is no transfer happening. Open a browser page and it will turn blue because there is data transfer happening

Okay, thanks! I initially thought the blue icon was always gonna show as long as I have internet access. Didn't know it had something to do with data being transferred. I think I read somewhere that when data is being downloaded, there is a small down arrow on the wifi icon and when something is being uploaded, an up arrow. So when they both are active (download and upload), there' something like a diamond sign on the wifi icon.
i tried these roms so far
cm9(stable)/pureness(8-11)/ka22/official .431/team xperia ics tweaked(3-3.6)/
in all of them i had wifi drop out
for example im in im pro app chatting with my friends wifi signal at notification stays but all of a sudden for a second it doesnt respond and im pro
gets disconnected
i tried dozen ways around xda and some iranian forums including
1-wififix
2-deleting dhcp and wifi folder in misc i suppose
3-these patches http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28091027&postcount=484 / http://www.4shared.com/zip/itXckFFz/wifimodulepatch.html
4-changed my wifi to 802.11b and 802.11g (it doesnt have n)
5-tried different encryption for wifi security
6-stock and alliance kernels
7-different basebands
and its not a hardware issue cuz it works perfectly fine in gb based roms
please help
i was waiting for ics since i bought the phone and this annoying bug oooof i dont what to say
thanx to all you guys around xda
There might be some problem with ur router. It might not be compatible with ICS. I'm not sure, as I never had this issue on stock roms.
Alternatively, you can try and relock your bootloader before sending it back for repair.

NFC Tag, one touch turn on Wifi hotspot for Head Unit in car.
After Android Oreo V.8 they cut off the command to open wifihotspot by NFC for some reason. I want to use this function to turn on wifihotspot to share internet for head unit in car.
Been trying for several days to find a script called Oreo Wifihotspot that he wrote that can send massage to turn on hotspot when we just touch NFC Tag.
when used for real It works as he said. But... when we touch Tag, there will be a diabog asking to run again. It wastes time having to press the screen again for the wifi hotspot to work.
I don't want to give up, just touch Tag once and the wifi hotspot works. I haven't been able to find it.. Until I came across an article of A foreigner talks about DIMPLE app. I went to search until I got apk to install in my device (can't load in play store) then try to write code to Tag NFC .....Bingo... .>>
Now I can tap Once and then the wifi hotspot works now.... This tool is useful. When we get on the car We take the mobile phone to touch the Heat unit 1 time, the mobile phone will release wifi to the car immediately, very easy.
