Question about modifying the size of the text selection handle or cursor images in Gingerbread.
I managed to hack my framework-res.apk to make the text selection "cursors" smaller.
I changed the following files inside of framework-res.apk:
\res\drawable-hdpi\text_select_handle_left.png
\res\drawable-hdpi\text_select_handle_middle.png
\res\drawable-hdpi\text_select_handle_right.png
This only seems to have affected the text input boxes, when I select text on a webpage in the browser I still get the "big" cursors.
I took two screenshots to show the size difference.
Where should I be looking to modify the selection cursor size for the browser?
I looked in the Browser.apk but did not see any related text selection PNG files.
I'm running CM7 7.1 on a Droid Incredible if that will make any difference.

Follow these steps:
Click on User CP located in the XDA toolbar near the top of the page.
On the left side of the screen under Your Control Panel click Edit Avatar.
Make sure that Use Custom Avatar is selected.
Then click on Choose File.
Find the image you want to make your avatar.
Done.
To add a profile picture just replace the part of step 2 about "Edit Avatar" with "Edit Profile Picture" and drop step 3.

Thanks man got it.
I use Notepad2 and Notepad++ to view log files on my PC for work. These logs contain unprintable characters like field separators, group separators and escapes. Is there a text editor app for Android that would allow me to see these unprintable characters. I found TextWarrior, but it only displays the same square block character for all of these. That's OK most of the time, but sometimes I have to know exactly what the character is.
Thanks.
