Hello guys, I wanted to start a collection of bootscreens for Wildfire!
Guide on how to make/use custom boot-screens by melvinchng.
Also a quick guide on how to use these bootscreens in post #3.
Download Link in the images, CLICK THE IMAGES TO DOWNLOAD
Earth Latest Screen (still tweaking on this one)
This is a Bootscreen I did for my buddy daddyspud's Ds ROM
Google bootscreen loader created by djdevine2
This current screen is a first of many that I want to give out to the community.
Lets fire up the phone!
Aurora streak
Here are the N1 style bootscreens
_____
Download both N1 screens and additional files here
N1 CyanogenMod Bootscreens
_____
Please let me know what you think of the screens that I upload. Also all suggestions are welcome!
The animated previews you see on this page are low quality animated gif images which are set to loop through the whole sequence, the final files that you get will have good quality animations with proper loops.
Hope you find these useful.
So here is a video of a few select bootscreens. Just wanted something better than the Gif's above, (still not that great) all these look even better on the phone.
How to use these Bootscreens.
First off this is a basic guide, if there are easier/better/correct methods, please do let me know
Please read the full guide before starting.
Theory: So once you have the bootscreen.zip downloaded, you need to send it to your phone's internal memory in a particular location. Generally this location is data/local, but depending on your current ROM the location may differ.
Things required:
Rooted phone
Root explorer (or any similar app that gives you access to edit the internal memory eg: super manager)
Procedure:
Copy the downloaded bootscreen.zip file to your sd-card.
Open root explorer (or anything similar).
(backup) Just in case anything goes wrong or if you want to keep a copy of the original boot animation, copy to bootanimation.zip file you find in data/local directory to your sd-card.
Long press the bootscreen.zip file that you downloaded and copy it. (in root explorer long press open context menu, may change depending on your app)
Navigate to data/local on your phone's internal memory and paste the file. Accept the prompt about replacing the file that already exists.
You're done!
Reboot and enjoy.
Note: If the bootscreen.zip file is not found under data/local run a search through the app or on the ROM zip package that you have installed to get the location.
For those of you running CyanogenMod 7, you dont have to replace the original file, placing the bootscreen.zip file under data/local is enough.

Hey I like the N1 animation alot, but it seems to go too fast... if I simply change the 30 fps to say, 20, will that make it slower? and will it take longer to boot because the animation is slower, is there a set amount of times the animations run before you enter the OS itself? Or does the animation run untill the OS loaded up?
I have edited the desc.txt of the Nexus One bootanimation and now it works on the Xperia X8.
In the attached picture you see how it looks like.
And here´s the URL:
h**p://shareplace.com/?C2B1CF5017
Press "thanks" if you like it.
Installation guide:
1. Download the file and copy it to your sdcard.
2. Open Root Explorer (Or another similar file manager with root-mode)
3. Go to your sdcard, search for the file and copy it to /system/media (it has to be mounted as RW
4. replace your bootanimation.zip with my one.
If you want to have the option to go back to the stock animation after you replaced it with the new one, rename your stock bootanimation into "bootanimation.zip.bak" or something like that, and when you want to go back, delete the new one and delete the ".bak" at the end.
thank you, this look fine ... i will give a try
Sorry for my bad English! Greetings from Chile
It has a good animation but the best is the Energy Star boot
How does this look like?
EDIT: i found ia video of it- it´s good but I think I will keep my Nexus bootanimation
im looking for the stock Sony Ericsson boot animation. I have Floyo .20 but don't like it;s boot animation. If any one can upload it I would really appreciate it
Did you make a backup of your stock 2.1 before you installed floyo?
If you did, you can restore it with xrecovery, go in Root Explorer to system/media and copy the bootanimation.zip file to your sdcard, then install floyo again (via xrecovery) and replace the bootanimation.zip of floyo with your one.

Hey guys....i was wondering if anyone would be interested in making or porting a Matrix Boot animation for the Atrix?
I believe there are a few out there for other phones...
Just thought it would be cool if we could have one.
Cheers
Here is a link to a post where OP uploaded a bunch of different colored Matrix boot animation.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10040448
If you know how to push it into the /system/media folder yourself then you can extract the bootanimation.zip folder from the cwm flashable .zip and change the resolution in desc.txt from 480x854 to 540x960
if you do notknow how then either post back or PM me and I will do it for you and upload.
I might look at adding audio to this when I get home.
Done! Here is the link to the thread:

I got tired of seeing the white and grey keyboard and didnt wanna use the Gingerbread keyboard cause of the small buttons. So I themed the stock one a little bit. Thought I would share it with the community.
Using root explorer, copy to /system/app. Change permissions to rw-r-r, reboot to xrecovery, clear cache and dalvik cache, Reboot, Enjoy
[EDIT]
added odexed version - not a flashable zip. Use same method from above
oh nice! saves me doing it i was just about to start doing my own one lol!
Something i didn't know how much i need it! thank you man
I followed your instructions but it keeps force-closing every second.
I'm on MiniCM, anyone experiencing this?
Change the name of it to the name of your keyboard before you move it and it will over write.
(NOTE)
Not all roms have the same name for the keyboard

Well most phones already have the stock Eclair keyboard or GIngerbread keyboard. My rom is Gingerbread 2.3.7. So I know this will work if anyone already has either keyboard in their ROM. Ive swapped around to all three keyboards. All worked. and I know the icons are hdpi. They look a lot better on my phone then mdpi. And they get resized by android anyways. I left the characters bigger so they can be seen better. Only notice two characters that hang over a litte bit. Neither causes any issues though. BUT, I guess I could change the icons to mdpi and resize the characters if anyone wants it done.
Thanks for the feedback
No it haven't dude..
I Just make fresh install my rom and install your keyboard
Force close and force again...
To all users 2.2+ and you dude..
Delete all system keyboards
Install your with any way you want
or try my flash way here : http://db.tt/20QG32OH
I Just replace in system/app the default one with your and I added the correct system files

Can you make some glasses? I mean transparent 75% maybe.
I will definitely try. I been thinking about a transparent one for a few days now. Cant find icons for it. So I will have to make or convert some. Might take me a day or so but I will get it done
Ive installed this keyboard. But the black theme only works in portrait. Why is it? Thanks.

Hi there, since I can't post in the dev forums, I will put my link here to a bootanimation based on the white One's bootanimation (to fit our white splash screen) but showing "Flyer" instead. I replaced the "Beatsaudio" mark by a blue "with sense 4.0" tag since the device doesnt have it.
Images and desc file have been resized to fit the screen perfectly. For the down animation, we should use the same old white one from the flyer.
Enjoy !

I could use some help to be able to post in dev threads.

Edit : To download the file, click "file", "download" in the gDocs menu.
Hi
The link just returns the list of items in Android folder...
Thanks
The zip is stored on google doc , that's why you see a list. To get the whole zip file to download you must click "file" then "download" in the menu on top of the list.
I believe you need a minimum of 10 posts to post in the dev forum....

BTW, the Rom does support Beats audio and it detects beats headphones.
