I've recently switched from TNT Lite to Vegan in an effort to be able to set up reliable morning alarms. I'm trying to use AppAlarm to start Pandora, so I can wake to a random song.
However, every time Pandora starts now, I get a popup warning me about excess data usage. I don't remember getting that popup on TNT Lite, save for the first time I started the app. This popup prevents Pandora from playing because you have to click "OK" before it will proceed.
I've tried a couple of versions of the app, 1.4.1 and now 1.5.3 with the same result. Does anyone know of a any way to disable this warning? It's ridiculous.
there should be a checkbox under the warning that says to disable this message. This is what I get on my android phone. I will assume the same is available for the tab. Just click the checkbox and click continue.

JHC - Mine doesn't look like that, because I'm typically using the tab in landscape mode. The popup is cut off before you can see the checkbox. Lo and behold, I can scroll down in the popup and I see the checkbox.
I shoulda been able to figure this one out myself. Thanks for your help.
No problem!
Amazing. Thanks. This is a good find. I should have figured it out also.

Hey everyone. I just got an LG G Watch and I've liked it so far, but one thing annoys me a bit. I get a card about every 15 minutes or so telling me which Wi-Fi network my phone is connected to. I've tried muting things like Android System, but it isn't working. Does anyone have any idea what else I can try to mute? Thanks.
I'm using a stock Moto X running the latest firmware from Verizon.

Do you get the notification on the phone as well? The watch should only show the notifications that you also see on the phone. Next time the notification comes up, don't swipe it away. Long press it, select app info and then disable the notification.

I figured it out with your help. While I couldn't disable the notification from App Info, going into Settings -> Wi-Fi -> Advanced -> uncheck Wi-Fi notifications did the trick. I can't believe I didn't think to look there sooner. Thanks!
I've seen a few other threads for other devices on these rather annoying messages popping up, but the solutions in those don't seem to be valid anymore.
The two main solutions I found were to disable notifications for the apps "Extended Standby Mode Controller" or "Eco Mode Controller", but I have no such apps listed under Apps -> All so it seems they may have changed the name. I did search for com.Extended and com.Eco, along with com.sonyericsson.Extended / Eco but again, no luck there.
Normally these are a mild annoyance, but recently I've been using my phone more for YouTube, and if I get a notification whilst watching a fullscreened YouTube video, the notification bar and soft buttons don't vanish, meaning the top and side of the video are cut off. The only way to get away from that is to totally close the YouTube App and re-open it. This is annoying in itself, but watching YouTube videos means I'm more and more getting Power Management tips as the battery is run down.
Anybody know what the app controlling these notifications is called on the Z2? I'm running 4.4.4 rooted.
If you can't find which system app is notifying, did you try keep press on popped up notification and tap app info?
I haven't yet, but I'll give that a try the next time one pops up. To be honest, I had no idea I could do that
I use that method often. It works for me to finding app of the causing notification.
Well I was able to locate the App using that method, the app is "STAMINA mode", however even though I've turned off "Show Notifications" I still get the bloody Power Management Tips.
And the option to Disable the app is greyed out.
For now I've tried clearing the cache and Force Stopping it, but I suspect it will start running again later, or at the very least will need stopping whenever the phone is restarted.
I am rooted, so I suppose I could remove it, but I'd be worried about it potentially affecting the Sony ROM somehow.

I regularly get a specific S-Health notification on my Gear S, prompting me to unlock and setup an S-Health profile. This usually happens when I walk out of range of my Note 4 or when I walk back into range (connected via bluetooth). When it pops up, I can dismiss it until the next time it pops up, or I can instead open it which simply brings up the S-Health application on my phone. I have already setup my S-Health profile so I'm not sure why I repeatedly get this particular notification...It's getting annoying! Any idea what this is all about, or how I can disable it (without disabling all S-Health notifications through the application manager)?

Thanks for replying... Yes i did that but it's those random notifications that are bugging me! I would rather not have these things pop up every time I walk out of (or back into) my phone's bluetooth range. Besides, the notifications seem useless to begin with since I already setup my S-Health profile... Surprised no one else is bothered by this or knows what it's about/how to disable it.

rooted GearS? no, i dont think there was a root available for me in Canada. My note2 was rooted but some how i lost it. havent bothered rooting again yet. but to get rid of S-health, i will
wow, i havent checked the development page in a while. didnt realize your guide for rooting all firmwares and additional scripts. will try this out tonight.
For now I ended up just disabling S-Health notifications in Gear Manager rather than rooting and using the S Killer. Figured I might want those notifications over the summer for running, etc so didn't want to kill S Health completely. Seems to have solved the issue for me so far. Thanks everyone!
Hey everyone
I got my Honor 7 on Thursday and it's working like a charme.
Except, the notifications bug me a bit...
I had the Xiaomi Mi4 before and it went like this:
Phone is locked and display is off
I get a message / notification (e.g. Twitter)
Phone vibrated
Phone activated screen
Now, on the Honor 7 it's like this:
Phone is locked and display is off
I get a message / notification (e.g. Twitter)
Phone vibrates ONLY THE FIRST TIME I GET A NOTIFICATION
Screen stays off
Any way to fix that somehow?
I can't root the phone yet, since I have to use the god damn Huawei Cloud for 14 days...

Hi,
I think you need to activate an option on lock screen and pass-key to activate the screen when receiving notifications.
By the way, do you see any issue while using whatsapp? When my phone is locked I don't receive any notification at all... and to get them I need to start the app.

I have followed that tutorial of yours, but I then received that error message on the Huawei website.
I don't have it available right now, but I can try to unlock it again, and possibly share a screenshot of the error message

I have the same issue with a new G8, even with this option enabled, protecting the app in Notification Center and lock it in memory to never close, WhatsApp notifications stop working in some hours.
The only workaround for me is rebooting the device.

When you want to clear all the apps (square button), you just pick one and pull it down so it will be locked to memory.

Locking in the memory works for me because the app is running in the background but thats not the point. it used to work normally without locking it aswell :/

I have found that the notifications (at least on WhatsApp) stop when you get more than 10 in a row, then the notifications in the status bar not longer responds and that's the exact point when you don't receive more notifications.
I made a test yesterday, I charged my phone before night and then I restarted and I got all the notifications. I disabled WiFi and data (to see if the device goes to sleep mode) and when I woke up, I activated WiFi and I had like 20 messages in WhatsApp, then I tried to click the notification bar to see the messages, but was unresponsive and from that time I had to restart the phone again in order to receive notifications.

I don't think is different, is the same problem, WhatsApp not showing notifications. And is not showing notifications because at some point, it fails to deliver them because some buggy stuff with the permission manager.

Yes, is part of my protected apps and I have enabled all the notifications for it.
There is something wrong with the software and Emui and I hope Huawei fix it soon.

Hi there,
I got my p10 pro yesterday and I've loaded up a load of preferred apps to it - one of which is Disa messenger.
When I open it, a popup comes up saying 'Huawei Protect Apps, disa requires to be enabled in 'Protected Apps' to function properly' - and when I click on 'Protected Apps' it takes me to a blank screen with 'Lock Screen Cleanup' and 'No Apps' ....
I've looked up 'Huawei Protected Apps' on google, but everything I see refers to old settings menus - of which aren't labelled the same on my p10 pro.
can anyone help a brother out? I can't see or work out how to add this app
Has anyone figured out the 'Protected Apps' yet on this phone?
I feel like i have to open my phone every few minutes to see if i have any text messages, or facebook messages.
It's very annoying.
And its basicaly with every single app, i dont even get in time (sometimes) notifications to my smartwatch.. apps like voice notify and beacon doesnt works while screen is off.. Seems like huawei pushed to much on battery saving this time.
Looks like they have removed "protected apps" option. Now its only the "launch" option you can toggle from settings>battery>launch where there is a new "manage automatically" option. Turning it off, you can manage each app individually.
After that you can only check if the wifi settings to keep wifi on during sleep.
And also try toggling off "power saving" mode from settings>battery

Exactly, but even managing every app manually doesnt helps. i made all my apps to run in the background, i have some old LG (cheap one), connected the same facebook accounts, and that old cheap phone gives me every notification, while my mate 10 pro doesnt.. wth androind is going to..
Same here. :-s
My s7 is showing messages coming through, nothing on my mate until I unlock the screen

I've been struggling with this for the past hour to get an app to give alarm when display is off. And think I might have it working. I did set the battery management to manual mode. And I also set the app to have priority notifications. Now it worked, but it might be random. Need more testing.
Sent fra min BLA-L29 via Tapatalk
It's buried, but you have to "ignore battery optimizations" by going into settings, then apps, then clicking the setting button at the bottom of the apps page, then "special access" and then "allow" the apps you want to survive in "ignore battery optimization". At least that's how it's on my Mate 10 (non-pro), so I suspect it's the same for you.
Thanks Rogerrynic. Was looking on my p9 everywhere for this setting as Disa kept prompting each day about it. Big plus for you
Another thing that might be causing problems is the "Smart Notifications", ironically. If you search for for it in the settings it will come up. Basically it says that it ranks app notifications based on importance. Then when the phone is locked it automatically clears ones it deems as non-priority. Try disabling this.
I've just received my Mate 10 Pro today, and I too use Disa. I'm working my way through all the possible different settings that could be causing this issue. Has anyone managed to get Disa to work without this message coming up still? (and I don't mean by just disabling the message).
