[Q] SD Card not recognized - 7 Mozart General

I today took out the SANDISK MicroSD card (16 G, type 2) from my Mozart and attempted to replace it with a similar SANDISK MicroSD card (32 G, type 2).
Well - the operation did not work! And I really wonder why? As soon as I put back in the 16 GB card, the phone worked without problems.
SANDISK MicroSD, 16 GB, type2 => Works perfectly
SANDISK MicroSD, 32 GB, type2 => No worky
Anyone with knowledge of any working MicroSD cards that can be recognized by the WP7/Mozart combination?
Thanks in advance.

Had a similar issue. From a cold boot, hold down volume up & volume-down, then press the power button. it will initialize the card

Problem with SD Card Flash Method

I've got a bit of a problem with the SD Flash Method.
OK, I'm trying to flash a Raphael ROM, I name the .NBH file RAPHIMG.NBH and put it on the SD card (a standard microSD 2GB Kingston, formated with StorageTools as FAT32 512 bytes sector (/fs:FAT32/a:512))I put the RAPHIMG.NBH on the SD card useing a card reader and go in Bootloader, and than it sais "No Image Found!".
The device is T7272.
Thanks in advance.
can you try to name it RAPHIMG.nbh and give a try
Tried that too, but no change.
I hate to say it; Sandisks never disappoint you
I don't think the problem is in the card, I used the same card (but full with files) to flash ROMs on my Hermes, without problems, and my Sandisc is no longer operational (can't be read).
And i think like taiseer999 that it is your kingston card,or wrong format.....format it with windows please and give the card no name, maybey that will work.
I flash with a sandisc 8gb and it works ok
I first tried using the card already formated, even without deleting files from it, no reformating after useing it to format my Hermes. It has no name. My microSDHC card Kingston Class 4 can't flash ROM too.
Are you sure that the RAPHIMG.nbh file is, with the right CAPITALS, in the root of your card?
If you are, AND you are sure the formatting of the card is correct, try another card.
( I used a Kingston 8GB class 4 yesterday, and a SanDisk 8GB Class 6 two days before, both worked out.)
((and the 512MB SanDisk I have, collecting dust, worked good before.))
(I should update my sig, i'm on ROMeOS 1.40 WWE now)
I think it has been mentioned that the Kingston cards suck. I've always used my old 512mb sandisk microSD to flash and it has never disappointed me. To this day, I've never used my Kingston 4gb.

I used the same card to flash a slashscreen to my friend's Hermes, and it worked, I just removed the RAPHIMG.nbh, and put the HERMIMG.nbh, and I used the same card to flash my old Hermes few days ago (when I sold it out), when it was full of files, and with my RAPHIMG.nbh in it, and worked. I'm sure the leters are correct, checked it a few times, and I used ROMeOS 1.40 and the .nbh file is already named. I think the problem is elswhere, not in the card.
Finally someone with the exact same problem as me.
I also own a Hermes and my card flashes just fine on that device, but on the Raphael i always get a no go.
I doesn't matter how i format the card, i even tried different brands and different types e.g. Ultra II - SDHC - non SDHC
I tried every possible combination of case sensitive letters.
I'm lucky that i don't have any problems flashing the regular way, but i would really like to flash using my card, because i also use computers which do not have Active Sync installed on it.
I hope that someone can solve this issue because i'm still stuck here. If u need help or testing PM me or reply in this thread.
SO whats the final verdict here? I cannot flash becasue of my sd card?
I just flashed yesterday with my SD card. Not sure the brand of the microSD as my phone isn't right next to me.
so pissed I have an Adata 8 gig class 6 and I cannot flash through my card it won't recognize my raphimg.nbh ... Its driving me looney. Wish something could be done i don't want to get a new card.
Did all of you format your card using FAT32?
Hmm. Could it be that the rom flash only works with microsd cards and not microSDHC cards?
I have the sandisk 8gb sdhc class 6 and that works great, flasht already 20-25 times with it. so sdhc no problems

Successful
I've had no problem. I'm using a 256mb Sandisk formatted Fat32. Image name is RAPHIMG.nbh
Mine is microSD and is FAT32 formated, but it's not working. My other card is microSDHC and is also FAT32 formated, but it's not working too.

4GB SanDisk microsdhc does not work

I've tried to install a few programs on my 4 gig microsdhc card. For example iGo8 starts only a few times, then crashes. When I explored my card there were 2 folders named iGo8. I formatted the card and installed a newer version of iGo8, and same thing happened: after a few starts(working perfectly) it crashes.
The exact same iGo8 works fine with 1GB microsd.
I've tried also installing M2DC, the effect was slowing down the device, so i had to uninstall. The same with top bar customizing cabs.
PLS HELP!
I've found the solution for the nonworking card:
Hard SPL the device
Installed RuRo v.1.1 ROM
Now it's working fine!
Hey,
I have the same 4GB Micro SDHC card. Mine is working fine with music and programs being installed and run from it. I'm not sure what could be done to help fix the problem. Maybe windows update?
Hallo,
I have the same 8GB Scandisk Micro SDHC card, working fine.

The same in my case, no problems over more than 6 months.
Link to card: http://www.amazon.de/SanDisk-Micro-...=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=ce-de&qid=1255621177&sr=8-9
I have the 4gb micro sdhc as well. I was using it in a Nokia e71 but when I purchased the motorola backflip it didn't work. It was during this time that I noticed that I didn't have the average micro sd card. Upon recognizing this, I bought the san disk micro card reader for hc but when I insert the card into the reader using my laptop (windows 7), it freezes when I click on the reader. I have not been successful with trying to retrieve the data other than putting the card back into the nokia e71. If I could find a solution with just getting the card to read on the computer, I can try reformatting the card. Pease Help if you know of a solution.
It is a timing problem on the interface level
Hi,
when I bought my fist 3G, I've tried it with a 8GB µSD Card and I've seen the symptoms described by other user (freeze problem, very very slow motion, ...). Without µSD card, it was working perfectly.
I was sure this µSD card was working fine in a HTC HD, so I tried a slower µSD card and it was working again. But because I was unhappy with the fact that I had to slow down the 3G (by using a slower card) to get it working, I've tried to find other 3G to try my SD card... and finally, I tried it in 11 HTC 3G (that was "working" according to their owner) and on 3 of them, the SD card did not work!
So, I've exchanged my 3G and with the new one, my SD card is working perfectly.
Conclusion:
During the electronic design of the HTC 3G, the µSD interface timings were borderline. So, if you are lucky, your model supports fast µSD card, if you are not, you have to buy a slower µSD card or try to exchange your HTC 3G. Anyway, it is not a "critical" problem because it has a simple solution... But for sure, everybody prefers to be lucky
Good luck
solution for your SD card
format your 4GB SD card in FAT32, it should work I think _ ^ let me know!
I think you should fix it by these steps:
1. Replace your sdcard by another one and see if it works well or not
2. If the new one works well, then you need to change your card
3. If the same thing happens, then try to change your application or install a higher version of it
4 gig hd card
solved the problem on xperia x1
1. format in NFT
2. problem solved
what that about can anyone explain?

Cannot Flash ROMs from 32GB Sandisk

Hi,
I searched around but can't seem to find any help with why I can't flash ROMs from 32GB cards. I've tried it with a class 4 Topram card then after I returned it I tried again with a class 2 Sandisk . Everytime I load the bootscreen for it to search the root of the card for leoimg the screen just flashes and continues to bootscreen without finding the ROm file.

May I suggest you try a maximum size of 4GB microSD card and format it with FAT32.
I honestly couldn't reproduce the threads right now, but I seem to remember reading about this issue before, concerning both 8 and 16 GB cards - So it seems logical it would apply to 32 GB cards as well. I don't know whether this is related to memory addressing issues or some other limitation - FAT 32, perhaps? (please, someone enlighten us both if you know) but using a 2 or 4 GB Card prevents the problem from occuring altogether.
as above said, most 16gb cards don't work(only know one person who has said the successful y used a 16gb card) and many 8gb cards don't work, so its a safe bet that a 32 is not gonna work. 2gb seems to be the optimum size, but 4 should work too.
for me, i have a 512meg card i use on the very rare occasions i use sd.
well since I got my HD2 I've used its 16GB sandisk to flash ROMs to the phone and have never had an issue before but both 32Gb cards I've tried just don't seem to respond.
Thats rather strange.
Theoreticaly you should only be able to flash from SD cards. During booting a driver is loaded so that SD HC cards can be read by the phone.
i.e. everything non SD HC up to 4GB should work fine, everything SD HC above 4GB should not allow flashing.

My Sandisk 16GB SDHC card also works perfectly for flashing on the odd occasion that I use it for flashing that is
hmm, that is interesting, I can't flash from my sandisk 16gb, class 2. Not sure why others can.
I can flash from 8gb class2 and below though. I use a 2gb sandisk just for this purpose.

[Q] Size and type of Micro SD card - HD2

I purchased an 8gb Micro SD card for my HD2 but seem to be having all sorts of problems trying to get Android builds running from it!
The card is a 8GB MICRO SD HC SDHC (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230511127179) and it struggles to either load the firmware or carry on running it if it does load up.
If I then put the firmware on the 2gb card, that came with the phone, it will load up fine and continue to run without any problems. The only difference, other than size, is that the 2gb card doesn't appear to be a 'HC' card. Is it this that is causing the issue? Have I purchased a card that is too fast/too slow for the phone or shouldn't it matter?
Thanks in advance for your advice on this.

[Q] SD Card not recognized

I had a Sandisk 16 GB Micro SDHC card in my Atrix and all was fine.
I decided to trade it for a SanDisk 32 GB card and my Atrix was then unable to identify the card. After that, I also tried a Lexar 32 GB card with the same result. Both cards are working on other phones (namely HTC and Samsung).
Finally I tried a Kingston 8 GB card and my Atrix was still unable to recognize the card.
How to fix this?
Any advice is more than welcome, thanks in advance.
