Have you tried pulling the battery for a few seconds and putting it back in?
EDIT: And maybe try re-seating your SIM card too.

Since it throws you in RSD Protocol mode, just try flashing 1.26 (retail) sbf. Here are the steps and downloads... let me know if you need any other help... and go kick that guys ass for giving you a jacked up atrix!

Thank you I will try this. The guy gave me an Atrix that worked but he also gave me this one because he did not want to deal with it. So I came up pretty big if I can get this device up and running.

Thank you!!!! This worked awesome!!!!

sucks to be that guy lol

Volume down button won't work.

So, yesterday I tried to do the search key as camera button hack that's on here. It never did work for some reason. But oh well no big deal. Then later I noticed the volume down button won't work. I looked back in the file I was messing with for the search key camera hack just to make sure I didn't change something in there and all was well. So I rebooted with no luck. Then I did a factory data reset knowing that normally fixes issues. Again no luck. So I decided to boot into recovery and just see if the down key worked in recovery and sure enough it does just fine. So I know its not just broken so that makes me feel a lil better. But anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

[Q] Which Fastboot files are MOST CURRENT?

Yeah, if everyone is OK with the complications of using a motorola phone, wait till you flip to HTC or Samsung.
Christ, who names this ****.
anyhow, which is the newest? How can you tell? I dropped out of nuclear motorola school physics 303.

Logic would dictate the one on the bottom since it's got an "02" on the end of it.
So far logic hasn't really proved to work with these phones yet... I'm still working on it though. Could be me..
A quick search shows which file is which.
The first one is a fast boot file to get you back to .173.
The one that ends in 02.xml gets you back to .744.
I didnt search for the other file.
.173 is the latest official firmware, so use the first one

I havent done it but it is the official file you need to be one while trying to upgrade. I tried but to many hoops to go through for me at this point.

[Q] Can't restore back from leaked Ics

I recently rooted my phone and upgraded to leaked official ics. I prefer gingerbread and looking to go back. When using Odin to return me to stock, i get to the initial setup where i touch the android bot and it wont work due to force closing.
Is there anyway I can successfully go back to the 2.3.6? I have searched the threads but can't find anything that actually works. Please help.
Btw. upgrading to ics, I lost root.
All the help i have gotten thus far hasn't worked at all.. does anyone really know how to fix this?

After that go into 3e recovery (3 finger salute) and do factory reset.
Put your flame suit on.

Rooting mistake

Hey, I'm new to rooting with Odin and I think I made a mistake trying to root. I flashed the telus root kernel and it seemed to succeed but it failed to boot. Panicking I flashed the other main root on the first Page which failed to write. Now it just boots to the telus boot screen then nothing. What should I do/flash? If you could help me ASAP as we're on vacation thank you'
