Hello everyone, one question. Which MIUI kernel is the most stable and best? As of now I only know 2.
The CM7/MIUI Platypus (which alot of users have been saying is unstable)
and the CM7 Kernel. Which one is better? Thanks.
Platypus works good for me.... cm7 kernel hasn't been updated lately so its probably the more unstable one at the moment

Hello everyone!
I installed openswift 4.4 with quarx kernel #409 and I'm very satisfied with it. But, this fw has a kind of generic camera app. So, I would like to have that LG official camera app from 2.1 rom. Is that possible at all? If it is, then I want to ask a kind soul out there to help me with this request by providing a apk for it.
Thanks in advance!

I fear it is not possible... but have you tried fxcam? Fxcam is kinda cool

i think fxcam is better than default one
Ye, fxcamera looks cool, but i was hoping to get full vga video resolution like i had on official LG rom. I'll try to find an app for that, if it's possible at all with this camera driver included in openswift 4.4.
Thanks for suggestions anyway.

A little update...
I installed Mur4ik's swiftdroid I found here on xda today. Video is working like a charm in VGA res, mp4 format. And it looks perfect, much better than on stock 2.1 rom. Btw, thos rom is excellent! Angry birds and every other app i installed is working!
I strongly suggest this rom.
P. S. Battery indicator is working correctly so far with 5% steps. Cpu oc is built in and working fine.

Guys,
I know ill probably get beat for asking this, but i found choosing WinMo roms so much simpler (although i think this is because WinMo ROMS were more straight-forward, and the ROM descriptions were simpler)
Anyway - ive had a look through a few ROMs here but they all seem to have some weird quirks that i dont really want.
I want to flash a ROM on my Xperia primarily to get rid of SE customisations. SE stuff is CR*P and i bang my head against the wall day-in-day-out.
So is what i WANT from a ROM is:
STABILITY.
As close to stock Android Gingerbread as possible.
As many functions/features fully working.
Multi touch enabled.
Can anyone suggest which/a few ROMs which meet this? As ive seen all to many so far that have custom apps in place of stock, custom unlock screens, or too many features not working.
Many Thanks in advance!
First off your in the wrong section

yep trigger is solid no doubt
They're all very good. I'm a Bi-Winning fan myself.
i've ran trigger 3.2 and I am currently using project V. Theyre both very similar but trigger is more stable. I do like project V because it is more customizable with lockscreens and such. The theme is awesome and the wallpapers are great. I also like that it gives you the option of a couple different launchers. So far havent ran into any problems with project V other then that when I delete messages from my gmail it doesnt delete it from the actual browser. I definitely recommend switching and if you do Project V is the way to go. Very easy too if you have rom manager premium. If you do switch let me know which one you like better because I was considering flashing bionix before I ended up using project V
Give bi- winning V3 a try. Its possibly the fastest and smoothest rom I've ever tried. Zero issues for me.

I'm constantly switching between ECOTOX's Super DragonMODz ULP and drhonk's Bali 1.8.7UV. Both are very good and I'm very indecisive...
I have only tried Project V and Asgard...both are pretty stable. Give them a try and I know you'll love them.
I was using KB5 voodoo initially, but just reflashed but now with overstock and i absolutely love it. Not having the problem with gmail anymore either along with some other bugs so it was probably just a bad flash. I heard project v with bali is really good on battery if thats what youre looking for. Overstock is more balanced, just flashed today and had idle for about 4 -5 hours during a meeting and only dropped 5% which is significantly less then how my battery was before.
Ok, I did trigger 3.2 final with bullit and I drove me crazy with problems the biggest was not loading apps and downloading them but now I'm on the newest overstock and it perfect so far. Has anyone have the same problems?

Bi-Winning v2 or v3 if you want 2.2.1 or Asgard for 2.3.4
Hello all!! I'm using the latest CheckROM with cf-root kernel... I'd like to know some opinions with this rom and siyah kernel 2.4.1... How is the battery life? Is it stable? What is the bln mod in the kitchen pro app?
Thanks in advance!!!

Err...read the thread?
I am using that combination. The Battery life is good and my phone has been stable so far and also incredibly smooth. The only issue is that the kitchen app doesn't install modifications automatically with clockwork recovery 5 so you would have to flash them manually after downloading them.
BLN is a service that can make your white capacitive buttons light up in various ways to notify you about incoming messages, missed calls etc.

I have CheckROM 4.0 + SiyahKernel 2.4.2: works very good!
Thanks for your answers!
I also use that combo. Yes it is very good. Battery life is the best I have had personally.
Oh, and the kitchen installs the updates properly for me...

Guys, why dont discuss CheckROM in CheckROM Thread?
Do you really need new thread for this conversation?
Lol @ me

Dont mean to bump thread, but I'm also on CheckROM V4 and Siyah kernel.
When i download BLN using kitchen pro, it doesn't seem to work for me. Any help? I've tried downloading BLN from the market as well.
Siyah kernel works great with check ROM. Pretty stable and the battery life is great. But frankly speaking the differences if any are negligible. They are more of placebo. I currently use Siyah for MIUI only for the undervolting and bln support.
I have a problem with my samsung galaxy s 2 touch screen . I find a lag when i swipe between pages on homescreen not just lag the icons kinda seem vibrating when i do so. But everything is fine when i play games. This has really pissed me off . I had once found a solution similar to my problem in this forum and a solution but that did not help me. I hope you can help me and pray this is not a hardware effect.
I am using the latest ICS. This problem was there when i used its earlier versions. I have tried customs roms like villainrom and miui as well . but the problems persisted.

Go back to ginger bread (MIUI is really great) if you want the best touch sensitivity.. samsung's ics roms have touch sensitivity problems.

I have tried using miui and in fact changed to ics from gingerbread because of this problem. with miui the problem was a bit less but still frustrating enough and now i am back to ICS with siyah kernel and also did some settings change from its tweak app. but nthng improved.
