[UN-THEME] Stock ATT 1.83 Deodexed Theme Removal Tool - Atrix 4G Themes and Apps

Major Update!
This tool was put together based on some request I saw on the boards, and using different snippets of code and a little know-how.
The latest version of Un-Theme-Me is a comprehensive theme removal tool that will undo any currently available applied themes and revert your Motorola Atrix 4G to an ATT 1.83 Deodexed file system files, stock boot animation, maintain your data and even widgets. FYI, I've only tried this on my phone once. I'm not interested in taking multiple runs at re-creating the whole process. I was running a heavily modified version of GingerBlur 3.1 and used this tool to successfully revert back to a Stock ATT 1.83 state with no issues. I then ran the program again just for good measure.
Download
Stock ATT 1.83 Deodexed Theme Removal Tool - note, this installs 1.83 version files. Verify that you are on ATT version 1.83 in your settings, about phone before using this program. This program may work for other versions in the future.
Your phone will take a REALLY long time to reboot after this is applied. BE PATIENT. The first time I tested this the phone sat on the ATT logo screen that I was halfway through taking off the case to do a battery pull when it started up. Subsequent installs have taken the same amount of time.
To use:
Download the .zip from the link above
Plug your phone into USB - set USB Connection to USB Mass Storage
Place the stock-att-1-8-3.zip file on your SD card
Follow all CWM instructions to eboot to install mode with CWM Recovery
Follow the prompts to install this zip from your SD card
You know the drill, I am not responsible for any "bricking" that may happen to your device. I have only tested it on my phone only.
I RECOMMEND NOT INSTALLING ON A BELL ATRIX.
This program will take your phone back to the stock 1.83 ATT deodexed file system.
Let me reiterate - I have only tested this on MY phone but have been successful in removing all themes I've installed from this site. Thanks and good luck.

That's strange, I actually used it today to reset my boot. So nothing happened at all for you?

Stock boot animation is just the moto one? Or and the att one?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App

Original boot animation (Motorola and ATT):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpzvOfhYoug&feature=related

isnt this a bit tricky since those files may have changed if you going to different roms (1.26, 1.52, 1.57, etc) and might get bootloop?

You're right and I'll add a disclaimer to the op regarding the version used by this until I can build some kind of version checking into the program. Boot shouldn't be affected.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App

It didn't work for me? Nothing is removed...

Did you get any superuser requests while running the tool? Did it seem like it ran correctly or did it give any errors?

Bumping to the top of the list for my major update - check original post of this thread for Stock ATT 1.83 Deodexed Theme Removal tool. Will remove any theme you've got.

I wish I would've seen this last night. Installed matted blue theme, then decided I didn't want it. Ended up just doing a restore from cwm which worked beautifully.
Thanks for this though

Well this will be handy for when the next update comes out... if another on actually does. THANK YOU!

Thank you very much !
Great tool , works great.

I know this will remove any themes I have, but will it remove P-ROMs such as Gladatrix?

An even better question would be will this remove the theme I put over top of gladiatrix? cause I wanna remove the theme for now but keep gladiatrix. I'm betting it will take most of the gladiatrix elements out to which I dont want to do.

For the most part yes; it does not disable sideloading/tethering/etc. but will replace all files in the /system folder with deodexed stock versions and will restore the ATT Bloatware.

ok, i installed it just fine, it was a bit laggy for me and there were some bugs, like i couldnt view any of my photos, even after trying to install another gallery and media pack, i much prefer fission.
Please see Installation Process. It will help you!
I should probably ask this in the general forum but sinc this is a deblurred rom maybe the OP can answer.
What services and other things does Blur actually do that the stock launcher doesn't?
And why wouldn't installing Launcher Pro do the same thing? I understand about the widgets and stuff requiring the Blur. I just haven't figured out what else Blur does and who knows I might actually want some of it. LOL
I am running Fission which doesn't have the widgets and seems to work better than the Blur stock, but I am still a bit of a newbie to android (coming from WM) and still not all up to speed on all of this.
Anyone use this yet?

Why is my device running/booting slowly?
Your first boot will take an unimaginably long time. After that, your device will continue to run slowly until the application cache is built up. Don't worry, the speed will increase as you use the ROM!
The new Android Market doesn't work for me. Can I get the old one?
Yes! Check the attachments on this thread. Download and install "androidmarket.zip."
Why is my battery life bad?
Your battery life is often killed when flashing ROMs in CWM. For the best battery life, you must drain your device’s battery until it turns off. Plug the device into the AC adapter and let it charge till the image says 100% charged. Then turn it on and use the volume buttons to boot into CWM. Click Wipe Battery Stats under the advanced menu. Then you should charge to 100% and install the ROM. Battery life should be comparable to (if not better than) every other ROM.
Reserved for future use!
And away we go.....
silly question but flashing method instructions...will they be included with this rom?

Would there be any issue if I were to use CWM recovery to restore my back up that I just made before flashing the ROM?
I havent rooted yet or Id try it. Im just sooo lost. Ive had android for a while but never Motorola. Why is Motorola so different? It just seems so different then flashing on HTC.I havent even rooted yet cuz I thought I read that that root method wouldnt let us flash Roms it was just to be able to basically run rooted apps?

Your phone has a locked bootloader. Things are very similar across all Android phones, but you still need to follow the directions on the install page. SBF's are Motorola-only, that's why you've probably never heard of em.

[Q] Transparent Top Bar? (Droid X2)

I was able to have "transparent curtains" on my old WinMo device, I was wondering if the same is possible with my Droid X2 running 2.3.4 GB?
As you can see, the bottom bar is transparent. I would love the top bar to match it, if so, how?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Interesting..
Just from guessing I think it can also, but I have no idea what to do with it. I am looking for more of a Newbie solution without flashing a new ROM, something like an .apk, or a .zip that can be applied at boot or in bootstrap, easily applied with instructions.
(I am an old fart who loves his first Android device)
If you send me a copy of your systemui.apk and your framework-res.apk I can make it for you. The result will be a flashable zip file that you can flash just like anything else.
Sent from my DROID X2 using xda premium
Where are they located? I have a Droid X2, stock 2.3.4 GB
System ui is found in /system/apps/ and framework-res is found within /system/framework/ you have to be deodexed in order for this to work.
Sent from my DROID X2 using xda premium
I do not think that I am, since the ROM is stock except for being rooted. How do I go about deodexing those two files?
Sorry for the lenghth between responses. Just got home from the hospital today with a new baby boy. There may be a deodexed 2.3.4 lying around the dev section somewhere if there is you most likely will just have to flash it.
Sent from my DROID X2 using xda premium
Here you go:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295950
This is 2.3.4 stock deodexed and zip aligned. You may have to debloat this again if you already have.
I would do a factory reset, flash this, make a nandroid backup. I will try to get that status bar as transparent as possible. Let me know if you would like a different text color as well.
Edit: Ok here it is. Flash the zip from the link above. And I have attached your transparent status bar. Enjoy! Let me know that it works.
Sent from my DROID X2 using xda premium
y0himba - Looks like CadenH has you covered here but wanted to interject something. One of the flashable zips for the 2.3.4 pulldown toggles will replace the stock 2.3.4 SystemUI.apk with a dodexed SystemUI.apk. Rather than flashing an entire deodex'd system you could flash that file then apply CadenH's UOT file.
I know that the attachment says it's for pulldown toggles but what this part 1 file really does is deletes the SystemUI.apk and SystemUI.odex, then replaces it with a deodex version of the stock SystemUI.apk. The zip then wipes dalvik cache. So if you do flash this expect an extra minute or two on your next re-boot.
CadenH - congrats of your baby boy. I have two boys of my own and having the time of my life!
A few questions: I am going to flash the zipaligned and deodexed 2.3.4, I know how to remove my Dalvik cache, what is the method for wiping my cache? Also, this should just flash right over my current 2.3.4 without losing all my apps correct? How about V6 supercharger, Re-apply? Should I use SBF to flash this? Will I need to re-root?
Once I have flashed the deodexed and zipaligned 2.3.4, how do I apply the UOT? I have bootstrap installed, can I use it for this?
I am sorry to be so new to this, and very thankful for any help.
Edit: Bootstrap is incredible! EASILY cleared cache and Dalvik cache, then applied the deodexed/zip aligned 2.3.4, then wiped Dalvik cache and cache again, then applied the UOT. the application worked like a charm, however, here is my top bar now:
It appears that text is not being removed....nor are the status icons. Everything that was displayed up there, stayed there.
Oh well, just re-applied the Stock deodexed/zip aligned again....
That was completely un expected. Did you want the text up there or no? Also was it just the picture or was everything really "blurred?"
Sent from my DROID X2 using xda premium
I just want the blue background to be transparent. Everything else should operate as normal...I have no idea why they don't build this in, that background is just plain ugly and takes away from the home screen.
No offense to all that are helping you, but I would say if you are going to do all this flashing in the first place, you might as well just flash a ROM onto your phone. Most ROMS make the top bar black. Or if you can find one, you can try to just flash a theme for the stock ROM. I think there are some out there but I cant think of any off the top of my head.
And I agree with you. That top bar and pull down menu is ugly. I dont know what they were thinking when they designed that. When I first got my phone, I tried to change it but messed up my phone and had to SBF. I then just flashed a ROM.
---------- Post added at 05:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:37 PM ----------
Or you can look into this:
http://uot.dakra.lt/
I know what mistake I made. Let me retry for you. I would agree that a rom would make your phone run better than deodexed stock. In case you want to remain on the stock rom I will upload the new flashable zip soon.
Edit: Here are the new uploads. One is plain stock w/ transparent status bar, the other is the same but with the pulldown toggles hedwig posted earlier if you are interested in them.
I installed Eclipse. I got pissed and just did it. It partially fixed my Android Market app, but I have lost so many paid apps that I cannot remember, and the market pages are blank after the 'G' section.

I was having the issue where there were no apps listed at all under "My Apps". Got that fixed by installing Eclipse ROM.
However, on the market web site, there are about 12 pages that are blank, so not all of my apps are there, and they are missing in the market app as well.
It is a known issue from what I have found, but Google has yet to fix it after 4 months (3 months for me).
So they are lost because I cannot remember the names of everything I had.

[ROM][ICS][LPQ][ODIN+CWM] DarkyROM HD Base XXLPQ for I9100

CWM Flashable ICS ROM!
What's inside:
XXLPQ -> duh
LPQ Modem
LPJ CSC -> international
SU (you need to download Superuser from Market)
Busybox
Nova Launcher (as primary, TWLauncher is on the SD for install with DarkyOTA)
Lots of apps moved to SD (67) if you miss anything, feel free to install them back using DarkyOTA
custom apns-conf
deodexed
zipaligned
more small stuff
LPQ Kernel:
Touch Recovery
su
bootanimation
init.d
Do factory restore (data wipe) through CWM before flashing
Most issues come from the updated boot loaders since Samsung started releasing ICS... It's the sole reason that I released a Odin custom ROM for KL1 (on darkyrom.com) So people that did flash stock ICS from Samsung have a way of getting older, better, custom-friendly boot loaders and a stable ROM to begin with. CF-Root and the kernel that I released have little in difference. We do the same exact thing (well I do not include Superuser or DarkyOTA in it). Difference is just in the way we accomplish them I also make sure that I have /data and /system mounted when the recovery boots and that is all. It's a hacked stock kernel
You can not boot because Samsung does not want you to boot custom firmwares! Even my Jig stopped working with ICS Bootloaders and I could no longer clear my counter...
Your "Weather on Lockscreen" FCs because it has been removed and it has been explained how to be brought back.
You might need to flash twice because the first time the installer was not able to properly mount /data or any other partition for a good install, but the kernel should have flashed alright, so the second run will go fine (I will work on that)
Commenting that you do not have root with this ROM is not serious! It's properly stated in the OP that you need to get Superuser from Market! Along with DarkyOTA, to have access to the uninstalled apps.
If you flashed v2 and still have Chrome... I have no clue... the app is not in v2.
This ROM is nothing but a Stock deodexed rooted and cleaned ROM.
For those who do not follow me elsewhere, I release primarily Base ROMs and kernels, that are just like this one, or in Odin package that give a good experience and nice battery life without all unnecessary Samsung services and apps without putting many extra features. Those get developed by the rest of the Darky team and get distributed through the OTA app, so you can make almost anything out of this base release.
USB access has changed since ICS and you have to go much deeper to get it working
For USB: Disconnect USB Cable -> Settings -> More... -> USB utilities -> Connect Storage to PC -> Turn USB Debug (if on) -> Connect USB Cable -> Turn on USB storage
Yeah... it's lengthy
ODIN Versions:
Full ROM (all apps inside):HERE
Light ROM (like in the description):HERE

Nice. Thanks Ficeto. Is it ODEX or DEODEX? ZIPPALING?
deodexed, aligned, rooted -> all
all you need is a CWM kernel to be able to install this. It's ok to go from GGB to ICS with this
Do not forget to factory reset!
Finally a CWM Flashable version.
Havent tried ICS since the early days. Guess I'll give this a go!
Now we just need AOSP Look

The porting to RAZR was by gflam of the init2winit team. Not me. I'm just a beta tester. The XDA portal lied.

WARNING:
YOU MUST BE ON A 2ND-INIT ROM TO RUN BOOT MANAGER. AFTERWARDS YOU CAN INSTALL NON-2ND-INIT ROMS ONTO YOUR SD.
What is Boot Manager?
Think safestrap on crack. We now have UNLIMITED SD ROMs. We have a beautiful UI, with a nearly completely fail-safe system implemented. As long as your ROMs have the same kernel and radio...you're good! And as long as you have enough free SD space... you're good! Boot Manager can automatically sync your SMS and your call logs as well.
What's the difference between Lite and Pro?
Lite only lets you install one extra ROM alongside your Phone ROM. Pro has unlimited as long as they all fit on your SD.
Where can I get it though?
PRO: https://play.google....rx2.bootmanager
LITE: https://play.google....ootmanager.lite
I need GAPPS in my ROM, but when I install them in Boot Manager it doesn't work!
If the normal ones don't work, there's modified ones that are known to work. Try the normal ones first, though.
For the modified ones check here: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...manager-galaxy-nexus-support.html#post1991955
What if I mess up my install?
Along with Boot Manager comes a failsafe - you have CWM on boot. If for any reason you cannot boot into your current ROM, hold down + PWR to turn your phone off, then turn it back on, and install zip from SD. Navigate to SDCARD/BootManager and there you'll find a folder for each of your ROMs, including your phone ROM. To switch to one that works, simply go into the folder and install update.zip.
What if my Safe System is a 2nd-init ROM?
Go back to your non-safe and uninstall Safestrap. Boot Manager and Safestrap are incompatible. The app won't open while you have it. You can take a nandroid and install it in Boot Manager and get all of your apps and data back, though. You need a 2nd-init ROM on your non-safe.
Do all ROMs work?
We tested them all and the only one that doesn't is RAZRX v1.2. Previous versions work fine, though.
I have another question...
Post and I'll help you out!
oh gawd, thanks you so much!
this is useful, does anybody has a pirate download for the pro? (just kidding, im buying it)
thank you mate, is it your application?
Nah I beta tested but it's by init2winit team which is Gflam and Conap
ah, ok.
thanks for the info.
Sorry but...our device is not supported, or that is what I understood!
We're most definitely supported. Support was added a couple of hours ago. Ignore the description.
(I don't know if it works on GSM RAZRs though - someone wanna test that with fastboot files handy?)

Just give a five star on g..p.
Great app
This would probably became huge if implemented kholk's bootload bypass in a near future. Do you consider this idea TSON?
Plus five stars for this in!
Thanks

Edit: why this is in general section?
Don't force people to rate that application, man.

(because nobody reads the apps section)
& yeah im sure once [mbm] & kholk release kexec conap&gflam will update it for it.
Okay, market compatibility should be fixed on Pro. Try again
Does it work on GSM Razr? And can you switch between for example ICS and GB ROMs?
GSM RAZR hasn't been tested. If you have fastboot files handy, it'd be nice to know...
Yes you can switch between ICS and GB ROMs as of right now because they all use the same kernel. Once ROMs start becoming based off of the ICS leak that will change.
Hmm alright. Will try that when I have the time. Does it store the ROM settings somewhere? Cause for GSM to run ICS, you'll need to use the GSM patch first. Wonder if that complicates things when trying to switch.

You install zips through the app, so just pretend you're in a prettier CWM and install the ROM to a slot, and then the GSM patch.
Great app I will purchase the pro when a ROM is developed for the new ICS leak.
I will not be going back to GB.
$2.99 is a good deal for a app that will allow be to switch between ROMs - quickly
I couldn't make it work on my gsm it tell me i need bootstraper and 2init(i have razr bootstrapper)

Just wondering what is 2nd-Init ? I have gsm version.
Sent from my XT910 using XDA
2nd init is Safestrap.
We don't have savestrap released for GSM, I don't know if safestrap for CDMA works for GSM, but anyway we have bootstrap.
2nd-init is not safestrap.
If your ROM has BLUR, it is not 2nd-init. If your ROM is AOSP-based, it is 2nd-init. All of our ICS ROMs other than the leak will work.
Is gummy a 2ndinit rom how can u tell
