Anyone out there using a portable (mobile) wireless printer? I bought the best rated one from HP (h470) which is awesome with my Vibrant but printing PDFs sucks. It cuts off the top of the pdf. Anyone know how to import the wireless profiles? Or how to fix this issue.... perhaps another app? Oh i use PrinterShare (newest paid version). Thanks

I've been using LogMeIn Ignition to remote into some of my desktops, but none of the supported resolutions seem to work on my gTab nicely. Anyone have any luck with some others that look good full screen on your gtab? It doesnt matter if it costs $
Pocket cloud is nice.

I use LogMeIn Ignition too. 1920x1080 works well for me.
It was posted in the QA board but I'll repost it here:
I really like 2X Client, you can get it free from the market here:

Worked awesome on my PC, couldn't get pocketcloud to work but 2X worked perfect.

I don't think I understand your issue. Are you talking about the clarity of your desktop (looks sort of like it's vga) in the LogMeIn window or the size (have to scroll for larger resolutions) of your desktop in it?
I've been using it for about four months now and my remote machine is a laptop on a docking station with dual monitors. I have no trouble accessing one or both of my remote screens via LogMeIn. Personally, I'm pretty happy with the price/features of it as it let's me leave the heavy laptop back at the office now.
I've used logmein as well as pocketcloud but I found teamviewer the easiest to use and less lag when using 3g.

I liked TeamViewer but it's only free for personal use. If you're using it for work then it's crazy expensive. I think if I remember correctly a single license was like $799 or more? Are they smoking crack?
PhoneMyPC is my preferred remoteting app:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.softwareforme.PhoneMyPC
-No sound redirection (don't care)
-Requires server app to run on PC (don't care)
+Very fast, even over 3G
+Supports multiple monitors
+Gets around firewalls
+Has many view/action functions
Second on Pocket Cloud... I even use it occasionally with my little HTC Aria.

Hi All,
Wonder if some of you uses galaxy tab 10.1 for business purpose as well, specifically presentation. I only know it is possible from the commercial, but unsure whether that fits to day to day scenario or not.
Could you share your experiences? Connections (cables needed), display setting, etc.?
Is the quick office (or polaris?) good enough to replace power point?
Many thanks..
Try Slashtop Remote Desktop HD
Its HD desktop sharing from a Windows running machine and works quite good.
I've used it a few times to show product flyers as well as PDF presentation's. Works great and impresses my audience every time.

what about accessories needed? cable?
Anyone have any luck with printing to a non-HP networked printer using your Touchpad? I have a Brother HL-2170W (because it was dirt cheap and effective), which supports PCL6, but my Touchpad cannot see it.
I read over at the Precentral forums of jhoff80 finding a config file and trying to turn the non-HP filter off with no luck.
Ref: http://forums.precentral.net/3053770-post62.html
Just wondering if someone here had already figured out a way around this.
Thanks.
I spoke with HP tech support. They said it only wifi prints to HP printers. Even with inputting the printer IP address it still did not find it. Silly limitation IMO as my 2 HP laptops print to this canon wifi printer.
Again, another reason to be excited for an operating system modification, ie Android
The printing support is currently only for the newest HP printers. Our only hope for expansion will be from homebrew developers to add support for other printers.
Yep, ****ing stupid. I have the same printer as the OP and two Touchpads and two HP laptops. Guess which ones have no issues printing?

Not so sure about only "newest" HP printers. With my touchpad, I am able to manually add and print to a 7 year old HP LaserJet 4200. Not sure if it would autodetect as my Wifi and printer are on different vlans, I have a router policy allowing them to communicate. According to what I've read, as long as it is an HP printer supporting PCL6 it should work. Also, snmp must be enabled on printer. Found this out attempting to print to an HP CP1525nw.
I am not really sure about newest HP printer. I think you should talk to your HP customer care. Also, snmp must be enabled on the printer as well.
I have a WiFi printer too, its an hp, but the only way I can print is with cloud print from the market. It was free and works great!

I'm looking into buying a chromecast dongle but wanted to get some opinions. I mainly want to use the mirroring feature and don't want to have to connect a cord to do it. I've read a few reviews on some dongles and some on them they say that the wifi used to mirror to the tv also interferes with the data wifi. Any suggestions on what I should buy would be appreciated. Thanks!

Chromecast is relatively the cheapest and best way to go. Just do it... you'll be happy you did.
Also Amazon has it for 30$ and so does Bestbuy. Never found it any cheaper than this. $5.50 lower than most others.
And chromecast has the mirroring feature to? Didn't see it in the features list.

I thinks is called streaming not mirroring but from what I understand you can serve any file to and play it as long as the device can share over your network.
I use the Netgear PTV3000, which does wireless mirroring. I bought it last year. It's been basically stuffed in the closet most of the time except for when i was travelling. It had a lot of stuttering, and disconnects. Basically had to close all apps, and had to keep the phone close to the device to minimize the issues.
Getting ready for a new trip. So took it out a few days ago and saw there was a new firmware update for it. All I can say it's a night and day difference. Now it streams video perfectly clear to the TV with my Note 3, no more stuttering, and do not have to keep the phone right by PTV3000 anymore.
I have the Chromecast as well the only issue is it doesn't play flash videos, and few other formats. An if your going to use it while in a hotel you will need a portable router as well. With the PTV3000 anything you have on your screen will stream to the tv, without needing a router.
A neat feature with the PTV3000, and the Note 3 stock video app. Is I can minimize the app, browse the web, or do other things while the video still plays on the tv without interruption.

it was a couple of days ago, but I'm using another way, and want to inform you.
Im Using Tronsmart T1000. And I had also a PTV3000, but I'm not so lucky with this.
The Tronsmart works easy, connect my Android Tablett (Samsung Tab 2) as well as my Note 3 . And I can connect my Windows Laptop with this Dongle.
Mirroring and other things are running fine.
I've bought this from Everbuying.com ;
http://www.everbuying.com/product535239.html (was cheap and easy). But you can also check it by Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Tronsmart-T1000-Mirror2TV-Wireless-Compatible/dp/B00H2D3N0M
Because of the features from T1000 I recommend it in all ways. It makes a WLan Connection to the Home-Router, that you can redirect from Tronsmart direct to the internet. And all connected devices are running fine.
Hi i am looking for a Bluetooth mouse for this tablet! anyone knows a good one?
I personally will be using my Logitech V470. I recommend it, but it doesn't look like they sell them new anymore (looks like they're going for about $25-30 on eBay)

Honestly, any logitech mouse would be the best to use. They're incredibly reliable. You could even use an adapter (USB OTG cable) and buy a logitech usb mouse and keyboard for added functionality.
Recommended bluetooth mouse? = YOUR ANDROID SMARTPHONE
Google playstore: DroidMote Client (free) on your phone
Google playstore: DroidMote Server (paid) on your tablet (granted, you need to have your tablet rooted... a given when you're an XDA visitor)
The app is 3 bucks vs. whatever you'll end up paying for new hardware...boom! You just saved money.
Enjoy!

Thank you for your recommendation!
I will definitely try that! I also think I will buy a Logitech BT mouse
pretty happy with the mini microsoft wedge. I keep it in my pocket in the day because it's so small.
