Where are you located and what is the service provider?
Do you have a SIM card for the phone? That would the the first thing you need.
For myself all I did was insert the SIM card and I never looked back.
Maybe someone with the same service provider will be able to help.

I'm hoping someone can help explain to me the process for accessing a data network in India. I'm currently on a prepaid data plan with Airtel and while I get the H+ symbol, I still can't access the data network. I've searched and I guess I need to change/create an APN, however, I'm not sure how to go about this. I've called Airtel several times, but all they tell me is that the phone is too new and they don't know how to configure it.
So, essentially, what settings do I need to change to be able to access Airtel's 3g data network in India?
Thanks!
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
Even just a link to an applicable thread would be helpful!

I got the same problem sir, please follow my instruction on how to configure the 3G network.
1. Go to "Settings -->Wireless & networks"
2. Tab "Mobile networks"
3. Tab "Access point names"
4. Go to "New APN"
5. Give the name as "Mobile Office"
6. APN as "airtelgprs.com"
7. Switch OFF your mobile phone
8. Turn it on(IF it did not work, then pop out your sim once and insert it again)
9. Now you can access the 3G
Please ask my help if you need thanks

Please I am dying for 3g
hi there
my gf bought a htc legend when we were living in australia on vodafone network and all worked fine.we have just come back to the uk and have put a new sim in on 3 network.it will make calls text and conect to wifi but will not allow data traffic it just says connecting on the mobile data tab but never does.the sim card allows data has i have tried it in my phone.
any ideas of what i need to do,is it because its from australia, will it work over in the uk,should it,or do i need to do something to the phone to allow data,
any help would be good.
thanks
is the phone unlocked? can it run another sim other then the vodafone one?
or in youre new location youre still on vodafone network?
most likely the phone doesn`t know how to configure the apn for the data
google your network`s android apn and go to settings wireless networks mobice connection set apn create a new one or change the existing one while the phones mobile connection is turned on
Yep, I can confirm this problem may be fixed by identifying and filling in your APN for your network.
I had the same problem, as well, this fixed it.
Thanks allot for the help guys, done it and it works fine now.

Hello everybody, i purchased K900 from china last month and receive it quickly. He looks very nice but i've got a problem with it. I'm on vibe rom V7 includes android 4.2.2 with french operator SOSH sim card. When i'm using 3G data mode, it doesn't work, i mean : that's impossible to open any webpage or internet connexion. I'm trying resolve the problem with APN configuration but without success. And, when i switch form 2G/GSM mode, it works, but the debit is too low to exploit data possibilities.
So, i've tried to launch internet connexion with Bouygues Telecom sim card, and 3G works fine....
I believe the problem is my K900 doesn't support SOSH frequences (Orange operator).
Anyone can explain me what's going on my phone?
Best regards.
Up?
I mean, 3g signal behavior on my k900 is lost and found constantly.....
Please help me diagnose this trouble!
Best regards

Thanks karellang but network mode still Only WCDMA....
It's surprising because SOSH (Orange) and Bouygues both use 2100MHz frequences for HSDPA.
I just bought my K900 a week ago, I'll try my B&You (Bouygues) simcard tonight and check it works.
Alright! I saw that i tried with a bgtel sim ans that works perfectly.... The signal is always There with no losts. Please someone tell me if he had a sosh sim, and the correct APN he is using for data?
Best regards...:crying:
Hi guys, I'm having this bizarre problem that I hope you could help me with.
I currently have an iPhone 5S, SGS4 and HTC One and share a single sim card between all three phones.
In my home country my SIM card is able to access data on all 3 phones with no problem.
However, when I go abroad and use data roaming, only the iPhone is able connect, both android phones are unable to connect at all.
I checked the APN settings and all seem to be correct.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Have you enabled data roaming in settings..!??
If you are using a custom rom you can find it in settings - - > more - - >mobile networks... Tick the data roaming option... I've never tried data roaming as I don't travel much... But that might help you..! [emoji106]

Yup it's ticked for sure. On the HTC it says that APN settings are incorrect, on the Samsung the phone just refuses to connect. If I move the SIM to the iPhone, data roaming works flawlessly!
When I'm back home, I have zero problems with either phone, which leads me think this is either an Android problem, or a SIM card problem.

Then I guess it has something to do with APN's... Maybe it requires different APN's for roaming... And somehow iPhone has them by default and android doesn't.... Contact your service provider and get the apns..!! That's my best bet.... Good luck
