Is anyone else having this problem, sometimes when pressing on a storage card installed app's icon to load it, it is endlessly loading and after 2-3mins you get a windows unable to run message.
If yes, is there a solution for that, except installing everything in phone memory ?
Which App do you mean exactly, or are these everybody of the SD card?
Any app randomly at some point it will crash like this and when the msg comes if you try again the app loads normaly. I read somewhere about this problem but can't find it again...

sorry, have unfortunately no idea for this problem
good luck
Thanx anyway for your interest, appreciate it
try a different memory card/rom ... try a different memory card if u have one at hand , or a rom if u dont have one at hand , u will then know whats causing it
Same here, everything appears to be fine then out of the blue you tap start and tap on any application that is on the SD card and I just get the wait cursor forever and there is nothing you can do but reset.
Whats strange is this happened last night and I pressed reset but it did not reset (maybe just pressed lightly) then it bleeped and said the application could not be found.
I just thought it was me
Me too, on supplied SD card.
I suspect the SD card falls asleep and isn't instantly accessible so leads to this error which causes the 2 or 3 minute hang. I've recently been ensuring I access the SD with a file manager program to wake it up before launching the app I want. I haven't had the error yet when using this pattern.
I might write a launcher program that wakes up the SD card prior to launching the intended app if it continues to look like a sleeping SD card is the cause of the problem.
I first thought it was a problem with .NET programs on the SD card as it's my self-written programs that I use most on the SD card. This is still a possible (but now lesser) suspect for me
Everyone has this problem ... and if you don't ... yer fricken lucky ehhehehe.
Take a look all over the TG01 forums. This problem along with other SD card related problems exist everywhere you go. Now I have owned both the TG01 and the T01a. I don't recall this problem existing on the T01a from DOCOMO. Unfortunately, I couldn't sim unlock the T01a, so I sold it for an unlocked TG01.
My friend, if you could write a launcher to "wake up" the SD card, that would be VERY much appreciated by literally everyone on this forum.
Thank you.... very much in advance,
-Kili.
PS: Something nifty. I have installed everything that runs as a service or consistently in memory on my main memory, and I even use all wallpapers from main memory and make sure that all cashing takes place on the main memory. It hasn't frozen for a few hours now. Even coming out of sleep mode, everything is A-OK.

Yeah thought of doing that but never did cause i soft reset quite often and i want my stuff in storage so i don't lose them.. With the 6.1 rom I don't get this very often, in fact an app stack yesterday after almost two weeks that i'm using this rom. I'm thinking maybe it was also because in 6.5.x roms i used changed icons for apps that were all in storage also, whereas in 6.1 i didn't find any way to change icons, so i'm using the stock ones. Anyway i'm happy at least i don't get it often.
Holy crap! It really really worked.
Well.... holy crap! I loaded up Resco Explorer, open up my SD Card, "Woke it up" so to speak. Then I can use the programs on my SD Card without fear. I think there is a definite work around here, we need someone to come up with a "SD Wake-up" program for the TG01, I would do it myself but I would probably brick everyone's devices in the process ehehehehheehhe(I don't know how to program)! Thank-you so much LesForges. You da man for coming up with the easy-yet-impossible-for-kili-to-find workaround/solution.
I haven't had this problem occur in one day now. My phone has been rock solid... it is a miracle! Honestly .. I feel a certain peace inside.
Guys seriously we need to get the word out about this solution. We can use this and probably overcome this horrible annoying error with a simple application!

Allright... I can't program, BUT I CAN DAMN SURE MIX N' MASH... ohh yeah
All-right, what is the one problem that plagues all of our devices? THE "SD CARD" sleep mode/app loading problem/freezing for no reason/and generic crappiness of the Toshiba SD CARD drivers.
And for you lucky few that haven't got a clue what I am talking about ... this goes out to you... "SKREW YOU EHHEEHEH mahthafa'&Az, I HATE YOU.... ya lucky basterd skum" (Just kidding of course) eheheheh
Needless to say, some people this doesn't seem to effect, others, this is a nightmare, so much so, I have contemplated selling my beautiful device before finding this. The Windows Mobile 6.1 rom solved so many problems for me, but still this one SD Freeze after Sleep mode problem persisted... This is how I overcame the issue.
First of all... what is the problem... the problem is easily duplicated if you go into sleep mode, wait a couple of minutes, then your sd card goes to sleep, then turn the device back on and run a program or application that is installed on the sd card. Your device will freeze and if it didn't freeze this time, try it a few more times... it will freeze. To overcome this issue, as stated above, go into Resco Explorer and open up the SD Card and then your SD Card has been "woken up" so to speak and then everything is good again. But how does one automate the process? You must do this.
Install S2U2 - Swipe to Unlock 2, after configuring it, go into the "STU2 Settings", then go to "Others" in the options area, then point it to Resco Explorer. Now the nifty thing about Resco Explorer is that you have the option have it default to open in any directory that you desire. So of course, set it to "\Storage Card" ... that's all. So basically whenever your device goes to sleep, it will automatically open up the SD Card once you want to use your device again, so it will never catch you off-guard again. The problem is solved. Now.. for the next item, I really want to just close Resco Explorer as soon as I open it, can one make an executable batch file in Windows Mobile? Then all our problems are truly solved. I notice that I have to hover in the SD Card area for about 3 seconds for the icons in the root directory to populate. I assume you need to have Resco Explorer kinda on a timed delay.. So you use Swipe to Unlock 2 and then it should open up Resco for about 3 seconds and then quit. I don't want to minimize Resco, I really want to quit it so if the device goes into sleep mode again, then it is already set for next time. I notice the icons are cashed in memory wen I leave the program open, so I always have to go up and down a couple of directories in order to "Wake Up" the card.
If someone knows how to make some kind of script that would open up my Resco for a couple of seconds and then close it, man that would sure be appreciated. Thank you.

Class 10 Kingston
So... I just got my 16Gb Class 10 Kingston in the mail... I will let everyone know if it also solves this problem. I assume it will not fix the problem but hey if I can get a little more speed out of my device then I am happy. I will post my results later.
**UPDATE** [21:59 - 2010/06/17] - Tokyo Time
Tried my Kingston 16 Gb Class 10, but to no avail, problem still persists. So just stick with the above solution.

Do you know MORTSCRIPT? I think that this is exactly what you are looking for...
Unfortunately I'm just a beginner on this program.
Although the above solution would probably work (and so does navigating to the app and running the EXE directly), my preferred solution is just to install everyting in main memory. Its annoying to loose a feature like that, I know, but so far all of the apps I've wanted to install on the SD card came to a total of about 10MB, so its a lot easier just to install them in main memory and be done with it.
Maybe someone could write a mortscript to read the contents of a text file in the root of the SD card before lanching the chosen app?
I believe Schap's advanced config 3.3 will do the trick
http://www.touchxperience.com/en/applications/view.download/11/21.html
It has lots of settings and tweaks
Just goto power management and disable SD card
It worked for me
Holy crap! #2.... and I mean a big #2 Holy Crap!
Wow.. if this works... I will report back later, right now I am testing it. I will let everyone know if it works, but if the SD Card doesn't go into sleep mode, then this problem is totally solved.... WOW! I will check back later and let everyone know.
[Update - 12:36pm - Tokyo Time]
No freeze as of yet, Schap's advanced config v3.3 has done the job. However my activesync is now disconnecting after 5 minutes of being connected to the computer, it is still charging but it just disconnects. So, I assume it has something to do with installing Shaps, it is not a big deal. To fix it, I went into the power options in Schap's advanced config v3.3 and I disabled the power saving feature for "AsyncMAC". So hopefully that will do the trick. Another interesting fix is for the icon disappearing problem. There really is only one solution that I can find that works in both windows mobile 6.5 and 6.1. Go and change the icons using an icon changer and have the icons stored locally and not on the SD Card. Then everything is fine, then you now have a perfect device.
That is all she wrote my friends, we now have working devices. Really we need to make a sticky for these two fixes. This needs to be implemented into every rom, this is the biggest problem for our devices and they have been solved by the good members on this board, I wish i could take credit for something, however heheheheh, I can't. Wafeeq YOU ARE AWESOME. Thanks man for the suggestion.
Freezing Problem - "Schap's Advanced Config v3.3" - http://www.touchxperience.com/en/applications/view.download/11/21.html - Go to power management and disable the power saving feature for the SD Card.
Missing Icons Workaround for WM 6.1 - "SK Shortcut Manager" - http://www.s-k-tools.com/index.html?sksmgr/m_sksmgr.html - One needs to change the icons for programs installed on your SD Card, remember, use icons located in the main memory and not on the SD Card.
Missing Icons Workaround for WM 6.5 - "JWMD Icon Changer" - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=567080 - Again, one only needs to change the icons for programs installed on your SD Card, use icons located in the main memory and not on the SD Card.
Thats it... fricken awesome shizenziebittle I am so ecstatic right now. Everything is done, I can just enjoy my device now. Yai.

I love HTC phones and the 8929 hands down my FAV. had to use BB for the past 2yrs. Now I got an HTC back in my hands. I was expecting it to be familiar to the tilt but now I feel really stupid.
I can't for the life of me figure out how to load my music (not itunes, that is all the info I can find) or pictures. I don't want an App. I'd like to see my file system or even be able to see the SD card but I can't find it on my puters file system.
So I know this means I am missing something simple. The handbook talks about amazon and mp3 store and the like. i have my own stuff I want.
So, can someone please point me to a link for dummies that will tell me how i can see my SD card and drag and drop my photos, ringtones, and music onto this phone.
I guess BB's media manger got me spoiled, hell even Motorola has great software for this simple stuff. I got the HTC sync loaded on the PC and all contacts loaded up but that is it.
I'm sorry for such a simple question but I'm lost and can't see the phone for the screen! Please help....
Thanks
when you hook it up to your pc a pop up should come up, select disk drive. if it doesnt pop up, slid open the notification tray and click on where it says "charge only" and change it to disc drive. it should pop up on your computer just like if you plugged in a flash stick.
just drag and drop the files onto your sd. the built in music/gallery apps will find the files and display them for you.

Thanks, I did that and your right the files did show. But the files are very different looking when compared to a windows and I didn't see a disk marked "sd card" or any files that look like they were on a sd card. So I stopped. if I move the files am I moving to the card or the phone memory?
Again, this is a very noob question for a forum of this type so Thanks for taking the time to answer. If you know of a stickies or any link where i can learn this system on my own i'd be happy to read it. But an answer would be great to. In any event looks like I have a lot of reading to do. I learned about my 8525 and 8929 from this site so I started here 1st. this site rocks.
Thanks
when you select it to go to "disc drive" it only hooks up the SD card, so no matter what you see in there, odd file folders, temporary files, etc, it's just stuff your apps put in there or you downloaded from the net, etc. not the phone's memory, just the card.
I usually follow the rule of "if I don't know what it is, don't touch it" which is a good creed to live by. sometimes apps just create folders and files on the sd card to free space up on your phone's internal memory. if you delete them, you could loose data for those specific apps, but even if you upped and deleted them all you wouldn't be doing anything that would would cripple your phone, just lose things like game saves, settings for certain apps, nothing you couldn't restore eventually.
anyway, to keep everything good and organized, just once you get it set to disc drive, go ahead and make a new folder called music, one called pictures, video, etc and then dump the files into their respective folder, the phone will pick em up no matter where they are.
So i searched the site for a while and could not find anything on how to get back information (really only pictures) after I Reset my phone back to factory. For some reason or another my phone would not allow me to sign in through Gmail even after talking with Google on the phone and confirming my email my locked phone would not unlock. I have to send back this phone by moday but was sent here by a guy from Tmobile since he said this is the Best place to go. I did try using Recovery programs both apps and on PC but was unable to find anything and apparently my phone never backed up anything to gmail ect. Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!
If this is a repost and you can shoot me in the right direction that would also be great but as i said i was unable to find anything in the Amaze section for this !

How did you attempt to recover the files with the recovery programs? Also, the more you use the phone, the more likely the deleted files will get overwritten with other junk files.

Most likely, it meant it stored the photos on the phone's internal SDCard. You should try installing Recuva, its an another recovery program. After that, connect the said phone to the computer with an USB cable and it should ask you to choose a connection type, and then choose "Disk Drive" to have the phone mount both of its internal and external storage to the computer. If you press start and then select computer, it should display 2 additional drives, both of which is from the phone. They should show up with their drive letter (Such as F:, G:, I:, K or something like that.
With the said program, choose it to search all pictures, and as for the location, select "In a specific location" and then choose the drive letter the *INTERNAL* storage is at. The drive letter is usually also represented with a label of HTC_STORAGE or INTERNAL, or something similar. After selecting the location, you can optionally enable deep scan, but it will take a long time.
If it does find something, the most important thing is to have the files transferred to a *DIFFERENT* location, such as your computer's hard drive. It is NOT wise to transfer the files onto the internal storage until you have transferred all of the found objects to a different location.
After you have transferred the files to a different location, you can optionally put the pictures back on the internal storage, or leave it on your computer. The choice is yours.

There was a program I used to retrieve my lost data. I gotta find out what it was called.
Recovah ftw. Works with android and windows.
Checkout filehippo.com I recovered files that were written over More than a few times. you wont recover everything but it's your best bet. I have heard this may work on your SIM as well but you need to get your pc to see the SIM as just another drive or something. I was able to read my sim info on another phone of mine dont remember what the program was called. Recovah is the best and...it's free, no malware, bots etc.

just noticed today a file, .tcookieid (33 bytes in length, dated yesterday, opened file, about 30 characters of Hex), has appeared on my M8 in every folder on my SD card, and is also on the root dir. anyone know what it is?
Have you recently installed ifonts app?
I saw that I also had this file throughout my sdcard.
The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with how ifonts deals with replacing and/or backing up your current Fonts.
I found your post after a google search about it. But there is not much info about it (that I can find)
It may be that everyone knows what these .tcookied files are and me and you are a pair of idiots lol.
But I figured I'd post just so you wouldn't feel on your own!
I'm gonna keep searching for answers and if I find anything I'll let you know.

there could have been an update to ifonts recently, in the past few days, cant really remember as i have so much stuff getting updated daily. but ifonts makes sense as to what is making this small file. its harmless anyway, just wondered why it was appearing. surprised no one else has picked up on it here on XDA (apart from ourselves)...
Hello there,
Even i stumbled upon this post from the Google keyword query, my SD card was displaying as being damaged, so i was closely examining the contents of my SD card and i found this newly created file.
It was only in the root path of the SD card, nowhere else.
Even i think that this file might have belonged to iFonts, i have uninstalled the app and removed the file after iFont messed up my factory font restoration pretty badly.
same here
On every folder on my sdcard appeared a file called .tcookieid with a strange code inside
I just installed some new application this afternoon, i am 100% sure that i hadnt it some hours ago.
If someone know what is the cause or what is this please let me know.
I cant find nothing on google
Just found it myself..delete some of it..i hope it doesnt affect my files.....curious?????

Well iFont has never even been near my device, I hadn't even heard of it until this thread. So either something else creates it too or it's nothing to do with iFont.
These little buggers are all over my SD card and internal storage.
I have the same issue on my LG G3.
I've never heard of iFonts, So why there are so many .tcookieid files all over my Internal AND External SD cards?!

Totally same
i have it all over my sd card
+1, Z2, no IFonts ... weird ...
find . -type f -name ".tcookieid" -exec rm -f {} \;
Not sure what it is. I found one website which gave information stating that it's recognized as a form of a Trojan virus that collects info and sends it somewhere. Can't verify that, however, if you want to remove them all then open up terminal, change directory to root of internal sdcard and copy paste the command above. Do the same for external sdcard as well.
I haven't seen them come back yet, but if it does, then best believe I have every intention of wiping my device out and restoring with a pure stock Rom.
EDIT: I noticed that it's not just the internal and external storage. Its everywhere on the device. However, I still have not seen it come back on my device since I have removed them.
same issue, not that alarming
I believe they are a direct link to a cookie on websites to keep track of your browser traffic, lots of websites use them, some more aggressively than others, I just delete them through 7zipper 2.0. If you stay on top of it, check once a week, it doesn't get too out of hand.

It's more of a headache than a threat, its a file that allows websites to keep up with browsing history on websites to give suggestive sites on your mobile browser through their cookies. Read this article and put 2&2 together. Type in "All about cookies" in your browser, I can't post links yet, sorry. I just monitor my files closely and it doesn't get out of hand checking once a week, but that would depend on how much you surf and what sites you go to. Hope this helps!

Well iFont has never even been near my device, I hadn't even heard of it until this thread. So either something else creates it too or it's nothing to do with iFont.
These little buggers are all over my SD card and internal storage.

Me too never had that app but many others have come and gone. I have this file and many others stored in "miscellaneousfolder" or whatever on my Samsung Galaxy s5. I'm going on a deleting spree and still the numbers don't add up and oddly enough the bar reflecting the slices of memory shows a larger, I believe more accurate, slice of free space than my phone is telling me. Ugh I'm just gonna get a bigger SD card it'll probably solve everything.
How do I remove .tcookieid files?
I also have this problem. The files are all over my internal SD card and I need to get rid of them. Are they dangerous files?
I'm pretty sure it is caused by games that offer all sorts of in-app free stuff if you watch videos and such. As the name suggests it's a tracking cookie.
Sent from my LG G3-D855
.tcookieid
I too have found this file, it came from xmodegame which i had install for clash of clan. I think the file contain some kind of ID, for further exchange of data, this app get root permision and voilate privacy by tranmiting other data too. I have install in rooted device, my suggetion to refresh the ROM. Rest phone works only with non rooted device with root and also granted root, my guggetion is that refersh your ROM asap. 5his is leach (worm).
It is a kind of permanent marking. For each directory, the file has the same contents. After installation Xposed with xprivacy and refusal to provide android id, my device has been so marked. It is best to install the new clean rom.
Is it anyhow lethal to my data or my sd card .? should i worry about it .? help will be appreciated
I'll put the link the the vid I followed (but only get halfway through whole process) and think I've missed something but not sure what. The guy appears to have good luck with his method, but I didn't. I cannot get the screen with the "box"
Here are the two messages I get after last step and reboot:
1. Nook encountered a problem that requires a system restart (I click "ok")
2. Then after I click "ok" I get this message:
Your Nook could not restart. Please Try again later. Or contact Customer Support.
The only part of the video I've found that I did on my own is that he doesn't tell you to plug the power cord into an outlet but it seems logical. Unless for some weird reason I'm supposed to plug it back into the usb on my laptop.
Any help very, much appreciated, denise

I'll just post the youtube URL and see if that works, sorry about that, denise PS I used the youtube icon last time. Let's see if just the "link" icon will work
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBvGLHUFOgg
Ok, looks like that works, new to this site, or at least posting to it If you know anything about the rooting I could sure use some help. I have it all finished but, for example, I'm having issues with many of the apps on playstore not being available to me. I get the "this app is not compatible with version". Something like that. I have been reading about possible fixes but one is something called Cyanogenmod, and I can't get the app in the store. It's supposed to do some sort of fix. Then I tried a took called BuildProp Editor but when I go into my build.prop file it doesn't list one of the strings I'm supposed to change (product Model).
With the buildprop editor, you change the "model" to something the app would be compatible with. Samsung to Nexus etc. Anyway, I hope you can see the video if you either need to root something, or, you want to comment/give me some feedback
PS I just read your "signature" and you obviously know a lot about this Hope you drop back in, Denise

OK, so from what I can see in the video you end up with a rooted Nook Tablet, an old version of the Market, and a new launcher (maybe a few other things I didn't notice). The problem is that you now have a rooted android tablet that is running Android 2.3(?). And so what was the point? Eventually the old version of the Market won't even let you in and even if it did, your selection for apps is limited with the current Android version now being 7.0
So....you did this much and that means you can do the little more needed to not only root your tablet but also to install a new ROM that can update it to a more recent Android system. I'm no expert, but I have been around the block a few times with this device. You can "easily" flash either Cyanogenmod 10, 11 or 12 (Android Jellybean, KitKat, or Lollipop). I started with 10 and was happy with that for a long time until I got curious about a more up-to-date system. I skipped over 11 and went straight to 12.1. I'm more or less satisfied but I think 12 is pushing the limits of the hardware. It's a little wobbly sometimes.
If I were you, I'd pick the last stable version of CM 11. The absolute best guides on XDA for flashing these ROMs on the Nook Tablet were written by digixmax. The one for CM 10 is here. The one for CM 11 (and sort of 12) is here.
Read carefully and take your time. The result is well worth the effort, IMHO. A rooted tablet with the hardware capabilities of the NT running Android 2.3 is not.

Yes, 2.3 Gingerbread. I get things done but I don't understand half of what I do. Thanks so much for the explanation. The more I searched for info, the more I kept see Cyanogenmod so figured that was going to help in some way.
Ok, do I reset the NT again, or just go from where I am at this point?
I don't know if I'm even supposed to be on this forum since I read that it is for "developers". I wouldn't have gotten the info you just gave me anywhere else that I know of though. Hope it's ok for me to stay and learn.
I'll go with the 11 because I understand that the NT is older (bought it in 2011) so no, I don't want to push my luck with it either. I have a new Fire Tablet 7, yuck, but I did get the Playstore on it at least. It works fine, I just like the whole feel of my Nook (payed a lot more for it of course).
Thanks again, and I'll post here on my progress, or lack thereof denise

There are the developers, and then there are the people like me who grovel at their feet. I have learned soooooo much here.
Good luck. It sounds like you can do this "easily" At any rate, you can always ask questions.

Ok, will do I am bummed as I have to do some errands, but can't wait to get back and go for this. Already downloaded the Mini Partition Tool, totally new to me, partitions but I do love to learn, ttyl, and thank you so much, again!
Just a bit of an update for anyone interested I got through this part of the instructions from digixmax:
Using a disk partition tool (such as MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition) create on SD card a Primary FAT32 partition, and set the partition ID type for the partition to 0x0C FAT32 LBA and set its Active flag. Once this is done, the partition should appear as a (read/write accessible) drive under Windows

But at the end, I went in to look for the Drive and it said "Boot E" because that's where I had my SD Card. I couldn't find anywhere it said read/write accessible though? I figure I was looking in the wrong place as the directions says "under Windows" so I even looked to see if something was listed under my Windows file in File Manager.
Anyway, kind of toast right now, I'm tired and going to try again in the a.m. The making of the Partition in the Minitool didn't seem hard at all, if I did that right.
Thanks again for the help, I'll check back tonight for any replies, and then again in the a.m. denise

On my Win 10 machine the "properties" option from the context menu doesn't say anything about r/w for the SD card, but it does show the space used and the space available. I think you're good to go if that's what you are seeing. You can't have done all the manipulations in Mini Partition Wizard and not had write access to the card, so it's not like it's locked or something odd.
Onward!

Ok, spent all morning trying to figure this out myself, and gave up and decided to come back here and ask what to do.
For some reason, I cannot find my unallocated space, it's not showing like the first time I ran through #1 step to "create on SD Card a FAT32 partition, etc. I did reformat the SD Card so that it was a fresh start. I did something wrong, but I can't figure out.
I read that on the MiniTool Wizard "create" is not enabled unless I have unallocated space, so that's my issue. I cannot get that "create" option enabled. I'll attach a snip of what I see at this point. Maybe that will help. I do select the Disk 2 and look down under the "partition" menu and "create" is greyed out. Then I also tried right clicking on the Disk 2 to see if it would show there but it still is disabled (please see attached please) Any help so appreciated, denise:

Been awhile since I did this, but if you reformat an SD card that has separate partitions (as yours appears to), you will not get back all your space. What I'm saying is that there should not be two separate memory entities on that SD card at this point. The section marked by the "*" needs to be merged with the section called "Boot". That large chunk is needed to hold all the files you will use to flash the new ROM.
If you right-click on either partition near the top of the display where it shows the two sections, the context menu contains a "merge" option. Bottom line is, you need one partition on the SD card and right now the bulk of the storage space is locked up.

Ok, I'll do that, saw the merge option. So hopefully, this will bring back unallocated space then. I should have asked how much I need. The SD card is 8 GB, probably don't need more than a couple at the most I'm thinking. I'll go give your direction a shot, thanks much for hanging in there with me, denise
OK, you need to take a breath and stop. I've just come away from another thread in which the poster decried the disappearance of all the Cyanogenmod stuff. I knew they had died but I didn't realize everything would disappear so fast...
That means you need to source the most critical component from somewhere. One option is a new post on this board for the critical files. There is also a fellow who was developing his own related ROMs, both internal and SD card versions. I'll search for that and add it to this post in a bit.
Edit: here you go https://iamafanof.wordpress.com/category/nook-tablet-2/

Well all is good because I decided the same thing when I left here last time. I did try to do the partition thing and ran into another "block" so just put it away, and got into something else
I appreciate your letting me know, nmyshikin I'll be subscribed to the thread, and keep watching for any new additions. I'm not in a hurry since I have my Fire Tablet, and working on the Nook is just going to be a fun project, I hope, at some point And I did learn some things about partitions, and especially about SD Cards Denise
