Do all this steps.
1. I dial ##778#
2.tap edit mode
3.password. is 000000
4.tap on modem settings
5.tap Rev.A
6.Tap on enable

And after you do that your phone should reboot and you should have 3g

Okay now scroll to the bottom. the box should say "LTE MODE" I have no 4G service in my area. So I only got. 1x. I changed my radio settings to auto PRL. Its 3G only saves battery. And for. 3G and LTE

I have tried going into the testing menu and switching radios, but:
1. I don't know which radio to choose, because there's no CDMA+LTE/EvDO option
2. When I do choose another option (other than CDMA PRL(Auto)), it doesn't switch to it.
So, the question is: How do I switch between 3G and 4G LTE on my Thunderbolt with CM7?

Click to collapse
Settings->Wireless&Networks->Mobile networks->network mode
Or you can just add slayher's 3g/4g toggle to the power widget or the notification widget in the drop down.
Thanks a bunch! Perfect
I found this article on CNET and found it to be useful.

Many people don't really need 4G on all the time, particularly if you're in an area where 4G isn't available.
1. From the dialer, dial *#*#4636#*#*
2. Select Phone Info
3. Scroll down to "set preferred network type"
4. Set it to "CDMA auto (PRL)"
If you want to turn 4G back on, repeat the above steps, but on step 4, choose "CDMA + LTE/EvDo auto".
According to the article, some people have reported massive battery life gains, which we all could use on the Thunderbolt.
Hey, that doesn't work on my tbolt...oh, wait, I have a toggle in my notification widget (or in my power widget)
There are a few apps that will do this for you on the market as well. The basically just create a shortcut to the menu.
Note: If you're on a CM7 based rom, your preferred network will probably read as "Unknown". Leave it and if you want to mess with it use the widgets or the "Mobile Networks" section in Settings->Wireless & networks.
Woops... I probably should've specified that this works on Sense based Roms.

Technically, it's more like 3-4 (4 if you count the 'back' button to get out of phone-settings screen)

Not on mine! I have this kickass app called Android Psychic that reads my mind!
Hi. I am on stock 4.0.3 ROM.
When I want to change in occult menu *#*#4636#*#* the preferred network (by default I have GSM/CDMA auto (PRL), and here in Spain not are CDMA networks), when I put another option, like WCDMA preferred. Don't do nothing, when I back again to this menu, I see again is on GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)
So, why don't change? Are there any other way to change it?
Thanks
Is there any way for an Xperia to show which LTE band it is currently connected to or even force select which LTE band to connect to?
Some phones from other manufacturers seem to have it under hidden menu but not the case for Sony
it should be in
*#*#INFO#*#*
OR
*#*#SERVICE#*#*
type this into your dialer
i forget which menu because i cant check becuase im not on a stock/stock based rom
How to change LTE band on Samsung S20/+/Ultra
Works on both chipsets.. I saw this tip on the board so I decided to make a clear instruction note on how to use it.
Download QuickShortCutMaker from the Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...shortcut&hl=en
Run the app:
Go to Call Settings
Then select the LAST:
Call Screening option should be right after Call Screen Emergency and one up CAMERA
Click on TRY
Click on Top left menu ≡
Select Band Selection
Take a screenshot to make sure you can come back to factory settings in case you have issues.
Pick the band or bands you want, toggle the SELECTION button on the right up corner.
Go back.
You are all set.
I suggest rebooting the phone but this is totally optional.
REMEMBER: YOU ARE DOING THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Down?
