How can I open the Sony Ericsson XPERIA x10 mini with to other sim card?
Never Share IMEI numbers mate...
I'd edit your post and remove your imei number people could do nasty things like. Report your phone stolen.. ect .. I got my s.e phone unlocked from eBay easy and safe but took upto 7 working days for the unlock code to be received .. all is good now though

unbranding does not unlock your phone nor does flashing other room or unlocking the bootloader and so on. best way is to ring your network and ask them. some do it for free
To get the Phone Unlocked from Network lock,You can use the Unlock code,so after unlock the Phone you can use with any GSM Network Sim card,To get the Phone unlocked from Network lock,You can get the Unlock code from the site Mobileunlocksolutions.com and follow the instructions below and unlock it step by step.
1. Switch ON your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini with a Not Allowed SIM Card.
2. Your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini will request to enter an unlock code.
3. Tap the box where you have to input the code and a number pad will appear.
4. Type in the unlock code we send to you.
5. Press the 'Unlock' button on the phone.
6. Your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini phone should now be unlocked.
*NOT ACCEPTED : We mean, to use a sim card from a network other than the network your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini is locked to.

You need to SIM unlock the phone - safest way is through IMEI

You do not change the IMEI of your phone. Messing with IMEI is illegal, and you normally need special hardware for it.
To unlock your phone you need to go to a company (website) that sells unlock codes for your phone.
Than you need to pay some fee, and they will ask you for 3 things.
Phone model: In this case X10 mini pro (you need to check if it is u20i or u20a)
If you are from Europe it is probably an u20i.
Network it is locked to: example Vodafone, etc.
Country it is locked to: example Spain.
And the IMEI: you can see your IMEI if you dial *#06#
If the examples match your phone, this means that you have a Spanish Vodafone locked X10 mini pro (U20i) than you can go here and after you pay 22€ and give them the information they will send you the correct unlock code.

Do you plan on unlocking the bootloader? If so, you will probably either need to get it unlocked by your provider or through a place that has access to a tool like setool.
If you don't then there are a few other options around to unlock it via the USB cable. I myself used Davinci Team.
At the moment there are no free sim unlocks around.
You can unlock it simply using the unlock code..........To get the Unlock code,You can reach here Mobile-unlocker.com get the code and Unlock it...you need to specify the network it locked now.....

you will find many threads (maybe some tut's).
It is possible to unlock the sim
without unlocking bootloader

There are some websites where you can pay
for unlocking your sim.
It's like you would give it to SE for repairing
BUT ask some members who did this before!

You can not unlock your sim to any network on this forum. The only way as you was told in a early post is to go to a web site and pay for a unlock code.

Hi All, i'm french and in france, after 3 months with the same network operator, you can have the sim unlock code for free.
I so gave them my IMEI number and they sent me an unlock code.
I'm on OOdie Prime X. I put a different card in the X10 and the X10 asked me to enter the code. But my code was rejected. I tried two times.
My question is: could it be ROM related, should i come back to stock to unlock my X10 ?
edit: I'm with an unlocked bootloader.
I not 100% on this but it to do with ur bootloader possibly. Also if u unlock in this way whilst bl is unlocked u may lose radio on ur device, so I wouldn't if I was u.

I have a simlock from A1 in Austria and want to open it for my german card.
Do you know how to unlock or remove the simlock without getting a totally new system on it?
If I insert my phone card he requests a code to unlock the phone for my card, but this **** costs online about 30€.
Maybe you can help me.

Speak to your provider see if they will unlock it otherwise pay for the code. Changing the firmware/rom will not unlock it
