If you dont know any java.. i suggest starting by learning java. then getting android development for dummys. you must crawl before you can run a marathon.

Im new to porting roms, but would like to give it a try. Im just curious if anyone could point me to a thread or sight that could help me start learning how to port a rom to the atrix. I know there is rom kitchen but from what I've read it doesn't seem to work when porting roms from a different phone to this one. Any help is appreciated.

i m planning to build a custom rom ... i wanted to know things i need before getting in to it..
1.do i need linux ? cause i have windows 7 ? i dont have any problem going for dual boot
2.do i need to know c , c++ , java programming language? i have little bit knowledge about c and im going to join c course from next week ...
i have gone through lots of guides like cyanogen mod guide thread , kitchen , and many more..i just wanted to start building my own without much help from external aid cause it may help my future too

Okay, im brand new to developing android. i want to learn the basics first and and learn how to develop for android. my overall goal is to help root new android devices and develop custom roms and help develop apps. and to be able to ethical hack with the android. could someone please help me and point me in the right direction at least a start. i mean im brand new no programming language what so ever. please help thank you.
