[APP REQUEST] A Manila style NOTES app WM6.5 - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

Hi Guys,
I often use default wm Notes program in my htc.
Recently i thought about creating a simple and pretty program with htc manila style, instead of boring wm notes.
Personally, I can't create such a program, because I don't know the programming language
However, I made several assumptions that I should comply..
*very simple -just basic funkcions: add, view, edit and delete notes
*Fast loading during startup (in my opinion the most important)
see attachment
So if someone can create that app or something like that it will be great
P.S.
I made some graphics which can be useful and
if anyone would be interested in the "project" I can send psd file
write any ideas and attentions ..whatever you want

[ROM] Small, lightweight spanish rom

Hi all, I don't know if anybody would still be interested on this, but as I did it some time ago and I'm quite satisfied with how it works, I thought I would post my main rom for sharing...
This rom is based on 2.09 spanish rom (the more recent I could find). It's quite old but it's clean:
Removed:
TouchFLO
HTC Home plugin
Connection Setup
Sample images
Sample Video
Sample Music
Emoticons
Windows Live
Welcome Center
Windows Update
Office OneNote
Original .Net CF
Added:
PHM Registry Editor
PIM Backup
Advanced Config
NueStorage Manager
.Net CF 3.5
Config:
Security Off
Vibe and Ring
No sliding sound
No keypad sound
4 Icons row on programs menu
Rapidshare: http://rapidshare.com/files/222411288/Spanish.rar
I don't expect to make updates, as it seems to work fine for me, and because I haven't seen any newer spanish rom to take sources from. If you find something newer let me know and I'll take it a look (don't promise anything though, as I'm more interested on linux )
Regards!

[APP][30-Oct-2010] SenseTasks v1.1.1

SenseTasks is an application to manage your Outlook Tasks
This application intends to replace the original Windows Mobile task application, utilizing the SenseSDK to create a HTC Sense Look and Feel.
I created this application because the Windows Mobile task application is not very finger-friendly to use. Furthermore, the WM application didn't allow me to create new tasks on my HTC HD Mini with Windows Mobile 6.5.3. After experimenting with eboelzner's SenseSDK, I decided to create this application.
Many thanks to eboelzner for creating the fantastic SenseSDK!
CHT 1.8.5 Addon created by Co0kieMonster
to allow for an individual task to be directly opened for editing (instead of the tasks list) in the program you have chosen.

For problems with this addon, please consult the CHT topic.
For support with how SenseTasks behaves, please use this topic.

------------------------------
Categories
------------------------------
The list of categories is built by reading existing categories from all contacts, appointments and tasks. If a specific category is not parsed by SenseTasks, you can do the following:
1) Create a temporary task in Outlook and assign ALL categories to it
OR
Insert them manually into the "Categories" section of the settings.xml of SenseTasks
2) Launch SenseTasks and go to Settings -> Reload Categories.
------------------------------
Command Line Parameters
------------------------------
SenseTasks.exe Command Line Parameters only executed on startup,
not when SenseTasks is already running
SenseTasksLauncher.exe Preferred .exe to start SenseTasks with command line parameters
and also control a running instance
-addtask Opens SenseTasks in "Add Task" Window
-oid [OID] Opens the task with the specified OID
-list Opens SenseTasks in List View
-agenda Opens SenseTasks in Agenda View
-nomainwindow In combination with -addtask and -oid doesn't show the SenseTasks main screen
Known Issues
OutOfMemoryException when there are too many tasks (I mean a lot of tasks). Nothing to do here except remove some tasks by, for example, filtering them.

Here's a little addon for CHT v1.8.5 that allows for an individual task to be directly opened for editing (instead of the tasks list) in the program you have chosen.
A little bit of manual reg editing is required though, read the instructions below.
Instructions:
1) Install the cab
2) [not required for SenseTasks]
3) If you're using SenseTasks or pTasks, they will be recognized by CHT, so the rest will be done automatically and you can finish up: restart sense.
4) [not required for SenseTasks]
5) Now restart sense.

Tumys,
Is there any option to add a parameter to open SenseTasks in 'New Task' screen (I want to use it in action screen)?
Thank you all!
jolas, no, for now I haven't included any parameters. But it's definitely a good idea. I will add that in the future.

I will post issues or bugs if I can find some, but so far, so good!
Cool app!! I've been waiting and looking for something like this!! If you can add a category creation and sorting would make it perfect!! It runs smoothly and fast in my HTC HD2!!! Thanks a lot!!
looks good!
is there a chance to get a "group by..."-feature in a future release?
i am looking for task application atm, but it will be almost useless to me, if i cannot group by category...dmn, just scrolled up and the category is not editable.
well, still looks good

hi!!
great app, much better than ptasks, wich btw went on marketplace few days ago, so this is No. 1 tasks app now.
i wold like to suggest one thing.
Make deletion of tasks easier. If i am not mistaken, now you have to select tasks, click options, select delete, and then confirm.
this is way too much steps if you have 10+ tasks, and want to delete them all at once.
thank you

I agree, this app looks absolutely awesome however beeing able to sort by category is a must have for me. There are good commercial task apps out there but they generally replace your entire PIM. I've been looking for a handy task app like this for a while. Please consider adding the sort by category function.
Nice work. big thanks for this one.
gonna test it now.
Great application. would love to have multiple sort criteria in agenda mode. meaning task should be sorted by priority, which is a must for me.
very nice app!
'occurs' would be nice.

[Q] Looking for a calculator

Hey guys, I'm looking for a calculator for windows mobile 6.5 QVGA (shareware or freeware) that is:
1. Finger friendly
2. Display the calculation in 2 line, first line show what I input (for example 98/(10+3+15)), and the 2nd line show result, just like Hicalc from PPClink
3. Save recent calculations
I want it to save the whole calculation and result, like 98/(10+3+15)=3.5
So it's like Hicalc Arithmetic mode, plus the ability to save recent calculations
Spacetime is good and it save calculations but it's not finger friendly, very hard to enter data on my small QVGA screen
If anyone know about a calculator like this please let me know. Thanks a lot
I think what you want is IGCalc. It's a skinnable calc that does exactly what you are asking for.
probably bit more than you are asking for, but take a look at SpaceTime
SpaceTime has many nice features, the only problem for me is the small buttons (my screen is QVGA), but I still install it in case I need some advance calculations
IGCalc is great, it does just what I want thanks a lot Ummagumma
It even has some nice skins and functions
I search in freewarepocketpc and try googling all day but couldn't find what I want, but IGCalc is really the one, you did me a great favor.
(Sites that have IGCalc are in Russian, no wonder I couldn't find it )
For those who want it, here is the link:
http://4pda.info/news/2220/
You're welcome. There are some very beautiful skins for it, the default one is kind of fugly. Just make a search for "IGCalc Skins".
Yes, I found some nice skins in this topic:

the java fx for wm dev includes an awesome touch calculator-
JavaFX Mobile - At a Glance
JavaFX Mobile is a complete application platform for mobile devices
@:java.sun.com/javafx/mobile

the true potential of the panel manager on hd2(devs needed great idea)

Now seeing that nearly every hd2 owner is no longer content with the winmo os it seems that all development goes into the other os bases. I have no problem with that but i believe that the native os for any device is the best, yes there is better and you can run them, but would u rather develop a means of running a better os or wowing people by bringing back a dead os?
Now to what i actually want to say... before i had the hd2 i had the xperia x1 (still my favourite) i thought of the panel interface as stupid and useless and with the new panel manager i realized something.....The problem is not the concept or the panel manager its the waste of its potential....
Now consider that the hd2 only has the call button to map to an app......if that app was the panel manager and devs created useful panels that the hd2 can utilize instead of stupid uis and half made programs.. ie
1. system panel which would control all the connections and commands like reset
lock ect. Also with a process manager, a ram cleaner and benchmark.
2. fun panel which would control all multimedia playing, uploading social sites and
of course a link to the xda forums.
3. update panel which would sync all the norm ( email weather ect) and also
use app to date for your apps.
4. streaming panel which could be as simple as the youtube app for htc but
could play stored flv files and stream from other sites in the best quality
5. ui and os panel which would either change the current winmo ui eg from
sense to bell or titanium and also boot all the stored os bases from the
storage card ( which is easy it can be a profile system where the user
chooses a profile and navigates to the location of the haret.exe which will
be saved by the panel.
6. hd2 panel which is basically the master of tweaking the hd2 via already
known registry mods.
i know this project would be alot of hard work but think abt it, i just made up 6 great panels off the top of my mind imagine what could happen in future development and dont forget all of this would be at the press of 1 button!!!! .
if you read this please comment this is a place of learning. stop reading only for benefits i really want to know what YOU think about this.
1-3 - can be created using sk-i as a base or many of the endkeys (mine in particular). just need some time and a graphics editor. also, why a panel for updating email, etc? just want it do do it.
4- quick link using sk-i. also search VideoLauncherv1.3WVGA for another good video browswer.
5- imo, CHT and CHTS makes all the other windows ui obsolete. also lots of boot programs for haret exist; quick links are your friend.
6- a lot of programs already do this. not sure a panel would be needed. could add the program link to your panels.
seriously CHT can do what you want. SK-I can show you how to spruce it up with panel type system.
cheers.
