I am from the mini pro section and been maintaining the gingerbread rom with cyanogen mod.
I was wondering if there is any demand for a clean android rom without cyanogen?
If yes I'll build one for you guys.

I would personally prefer a clean rom without any mods or preinstalled aps.
But i also need a working high quality camera and that is keeping me from using any custom rom at the moment.

I would really love to have the ability to have fresh official roms of 1.6, 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 with the only custom thing which should be a preinstalled xRecovery, so that I can keep flashing and flashing!!! It's not that difficult to build them, but I would be very thankful if you had the time to do this for us all, Slade...

Definitely, I personally would love clean 1.x 2.x and 3.x ROMS. Partially because having the X10 mini as my first android device I've never had the default android experience and mostly again because even though caynogen is a great mod it'd be easier to start experimenting with sense and MIUI if i had a clean base with minimal (if at all possible no) mods at all

@slade87--that would be a welcome move;personally,two features which have made me a slave of SE devices are music and camera and the mini which I have now had for about a year is no exception.While I am turning into a flashaholic of sorts these days,when it is time to shoot pictures,it is back to basics!Please try and get a good camera going!

I agree with the rest of the guys. A clean ROM would be great. I think the best thing to do with our small devices is to keep them as lean as possible.

Yeah, a clean mode would be great, I'd rather install the custom apps myself, I had some issues with LauncherPro being the default system launcher in MiniCM
A clean Rom would be great, I agree with everyone here. A clean android experience will give way to more custom personalizations, wich is, in my opinion, the best thing about android: freedom

I would love to test a Vanilla Android, and most preferably 2.3, followed by 2.2 and if not, only then 2.1 - better we keep up with the times.
I wonder how much modding one would have to do though? My priorities would be overclocking and undervolting, then usual custom apps. I wonder how many of the modded custom apps we'd lose though - music and camera especially.

I'm now using Beta 4, waiting for trip's .54 version
CM 6.1.1-v3.2
I would suggest Free X10 Beta4,the downside is that the camcorder is working 100% yet.You can download Video Illusion as an alternative,Its a nice rom thats pretty smooth.
You do need to be the the this baseband to use it though.

That's a good question.. I am looking for the same.. maybe the one by Z.. that's a great rom. Fast and smooth so far. However the camera camcorder doesn't works properly for now.. may be some mod rom.. there is a couple here as I could see.
The new MIUI rom from Trip is awesome, you should try that!
I've tried several; the only one-so far with no issues (Camcorder, Market Battery etc. all smooth, stable and fast) is BitSnacker_2.1x10ROMv1.0

my suggestion (may souund boring) but keep the stock (SE) 2.1 update 1 with the latest updates
Pavi90 has a guide "how to speed up a stock x10" (something like that) i did it, everything works (i mean EVERYTHING) and its silky smooth, snappy, reliable and everything
it wont get 1000+ on quadrant, but it runs as good as i think i needs to, i would compare it to an iphones smoothness with these mods
2.2 beta 4.... Miui is ugly as sin imo. If you want your phone to look like an iphone why not get one? The rows of icons are so freakin bland...it's everything I dislike about iphone

I Love freeX10 beta4 if HD video rec is worked out then this would be the ultimate rom..
PS there is a ps1 emulator called FPse that only works on 2.2+Roms. But its near perfect and is the main reason i upgrade + flashplayer too

I use cm6.1.1 rom. on baseband .54. Would love to try Gingerbread ROM but not sure if stable for my baseband.

ive looked through as many threads as i could and downloaded a few roms and im rather stuck which to go for and hoping you peeps could help me decide?
basically what i want is:
Adobe flash support
camera + video cam
make phone calls and 3g networking
not to bothered about mediascape
So far i have downloaded MIUI_xperia_TripNRaVeR-CFMod.v7 and [rendeiro2005]Cyanogen6.1.3_v01.
the [rendeiro2005]Cyanogen6.1.3_v01 seems to be my fave im just not a great fan of the theme but i could always install one i like i asume? im a relative noob but still know my way around xrec and rooting. if im missing a rom that fits my needs does any one have any further recommendations?

Im using CM 6.1.3 V4.1,I really like it.I was using Free X10,but this one seems a little bit smoother. I also switch back to SE 2.1 to use the video cam in HD. Video illusion+Vingette works just fine as alternatives. Theres probably atleast 1,000posts about those apps on here.
Bluespark rom I'm using it right now and its bloody amazing its very quick no laggs!

I would say try a couple making xrec backups for each so you can play around and find the one that really suits you.

he said he wants one with camera and camcorder, and the froyo roms dont give hd recording. i would go with the high performance 2.1 rom, it's very fast and awesome!

I will give you my personal testimonial.
I am using this rom h t t p:/ / forum .xda-developers. com / showthread.php?t=941745 for last 10 days.. and I can asure you that so far it's the best 2.1 rom that I had tried till now. It's completely functional and too smooth.. beyond the amazing theme and still there is two flavors available Gingerbread Theme and Gingerbread plus Arc Theme Personally I prefer the second one. By the way I tried almost all roms available in this forum and for sure the best one is EW JET by erickwill.
i've just installed rendeiro's cyanogen+fx10b4 and while i'm loving the ROM, i'm also going to tweak the theme to my liking.
I'm also searching for that perfect one.. now using TripNArc, but it's not done yet

what? sd card mounts fine on both freex10 beta 4 and wolfbreaks cm.....
Maybe you just don't have proper drivers installed?

Yep im good at graphics, but im more Bash, java, even a little bit of c programmer .. I think is a waste being on charge at graphics, there are lot of people better for that, you can see on my apports, all the things I made when I had this device.. sadly I had to sell it. I can help with bash scripts on init.d, I can build kernel, but I dont like to build roms, so youll need to find someone else for that, and all my things need to be tested first by someone with mid-high knowledge cuz I cant test myself. Anyway, I think I can try some bootanimation for now, what will be the ROM name and based on what android version?, also, do you think to build rom & kernel from scratch (SE Sources) or do any kind of port?

I'd recommend, to start up with AOSP gingerbread (wich is already fully working), and start to port features from ICS, that would be fairly cool

I am good at designing.
And I know C and a bit of Java and c++
of course i also know html, css...
Oh yeah, AOSP seems unique to me. None have done that yet I think. But I was thinking of a Gingerbread ROM that was based on 2011 Xperias or even from stock Eclair.
Anyways, I would like to join the team too however, I don't have any skills on programming. I've created a custom ROM based on stock for Samsung Galaxy Y but I just know the basics of modding like copy-pasting.
Or why not make farazfaraz join your team too? His PrimeHD v1 was really better in terms of speed than other CM7 builds out there. Just my two cents.

Hey I have used cm7 and cm7 based roms!!! now am using stock based roms dynamite 5.0 which has a terrible battery life don't know y battery drains faster than ever !!! But camera quality is awesome!! So I have decided to use gingerblurb as it is a cm7 rom camera quality is not so good even after the fix is flashed so I would like to know is there any way that I can make stock camera app work on cm7 !! although I only know to kitchen and a bit c++ and learning XTHTML and CSS !! Thanks in advance!!!!

You can try to port the stock camera...
but i think there will be some problem related to framework...
It's written in gingerblurB discription that it has the N2 cam patch by me but actually, that ROM has different libs, you should try the original fix that i POSTED HERE
No way to use stock camera in any other rom.this question is answer hundred times in different thread.

Make it smooth (That crash, as in the Stock ROM 2.1)
What keypad lights work well as in the Stock ROM
That the camera works perfectly, the photos are good and the video the audio is not delayed
Supporting swapp
That is stable and not constantly restart
That the battery lasts, it lasts as with the stock ROM, I was hard listening to music and browsing with wi-fi 12 hours
I do not use the ROM games exclusively for games as much as 2 games
I hope I can help recommending a ROM and a link to download

Bro, are you serious? :/ I thought MiniCM7 was the most stable ROM out there... At least majority says so. I myself am on MiniCM7, but dying to try MiniCM9. Just keep backing off over and over again.

But I prefer CM7 for NaA kernel, its faster, more stable and battery drain is better

If you want to continue using stock ROM, I recommend the ArcMini NxT6

But CM7 2.2.1 with nAa kernel is a lot better...
Just installed MiniCM9 and boy its too good!!! And very very very stable. Sure some things dont work, but i dont even want video on my phone, so what the hell
I was using MiniCM7 before, so would suggest you the same. Install MiniCM7, use it for a while, later on make a backup of that ROM, then try out ICS and other ROMS, that way you can always come back to MiniCM7.
CM7 works for majority ppl's daily usage. Any other ROM just depends on your preference on what YOU want out of your phone. Lol, thats just the way I see it its always safe to go with CM, so better if you have it as a backup... Just in case.

Hi,when u finding at least min 4.0 i recommend to install Mini CM9 or MiniCM10 with NaA Kernel
