I just flashed Calkulin's G-Tab v1.1 (based on TnT) and so far everything is working great! I am just wondering where to find the "Accounts & Sync" menu, as it doesn't show up under Settings like in stock Android. I'm trying to change the default Google account I used for the tab. This is my first experience with TnT so any help is appreciated!
I found it in the contacts app, settings, accounts. Still trying to get Facebook to sync with contacts though.
Pretty sure you can't get FB to sync in the 2.2 ROMs. The FB app will sync in 2.3 though.
Awesome, that's what I was looking for. Thanks!
Hello everyone,
I just reflashed my phone with KB1 over the weekend, and really like the ROM. However, I am still having an issue I was having before (on JK6) which I am hoping someone can help me solve.
I use a Google Apps account for my personal email and calendar, and my company uses Google Apps for our corporate email and calendar. I have my calendars shared between both accounts.
When I reflashed my phone and setup my personal Google account on my phone, both calendars were showing up just fine on my TouchWiz calendar, and the LauncherPro calendar widget.
Now, a few days later the TouchWiz calendar doesn't show my work (shared) calendar in the list if calendars, and none of my appointments either. Same with the TouchWiz widget.
Any ideas what could be going on here?
Are there any Touchdown users out there on the 10.1? I find this app way better than the pre-installed mailclient. Especially since the pre-installed client has major sync issues for me.
But, I wonder if anyone has managed to sync the calendar from touchdown to the stock calendar? I would like that, so I have both gmail and exchange calendar in the same view.
If anyone knows if this is possible, thanks!
You can install Google calendar sync on a pc with outlook on it and it will sync your outlook calendar to Google.
Thanks and a good idea, but I really like to keep google (private) and exchange(work) separate, but would like to be able to view them both in the default calendar on the GT. Is it not possible?
Touchdown is working well for me including the calendar. The license is only supposed to be good for one install but I was able to register my phone and my tablet.

Are you having calendar synced with the builtin calendar as well? I know it works well with the touchdown calendar but I want to use the builtin version..

Unfortunately you cant do that. My solution was to use the Pure Calendar widget and tell it to show both my Touchdown and Google calendars in the same view.
Touchdown world great but honestly for same money Moxier works and looks 100-times better. You can also use the same purchase/license on your phone. Your email, calendar, tasks, notes, and contacts are all synchronized over the air via exchange active sync. The contacts will show up in your phones contacts, but can only be edited in the Moxier client itself. So on your phone caller ID and dialer will recognize your coworkers that call, text, or email you outside Moxier.
It's got a trial version you can try. I already had a Touchdown client paid for and bought this after I tried it on my Nook Color. Its awesome. Moxier just trumps it.

Your calendar will be separate on Moxier but it has a nice set of Widgets that can be use along side the stock Widgets on a singlebhome screen. I sort of like having them separate. I always end up creating personal events in my work calendar and vice versa when they are together.... which is counter productive at times.

I'm very pleased with the touchdown tablet edition. I've been using td on my phone, but I'm in Cancun this week, and telmex networking doesn't seem that stable, so I've been using the tablet version on my SGT. It took me a while to get used to the new navigation style, but I'm liking it.

Exactly what I needed, will check it out! Thanks
I have my i9100 with Resurrection Remix ICS v2.4[4.0.4] installed and tried to set up my work's Exchange account on it.
I specifically configured it so that it synchronizes the Exchange calendar too, but when I go to the phone's calendar, it only shows the ones from my Gmail account, not the Exchange one.
From the calendar application, if I go to Menu - Calendars to display - Calendars to sync, it does NOT show my Exchange account with its calendar.
If I go to Menu - Settings it shows my both accounts (Gmail and Exchange) but when I go to the Exchange one, it shows the message "No calendars" as if the account doesn't have a calendar to show. I'm positive that the Exchange server didn't change because until Friday I had an official ICS 4.0.3 rom and I was able to sync and add events to my Exchange calendar.
Any help on how to fix this or some workaround? I really need my Exchange calendar to be fully functional.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Lots of views and no answers? Please help me solve this or at least mention if it won't ever work...
Thanks
I'm experiencing the same issue. Have you managed to find a fix for this yet?
Why not post this in the rr thread? They're going to be able to help more than here

try 3rd part app
u may try
Smooth Calendar from playstore
I tried to ask in rr's thread but nobody replied to my questions...
Regarding 3rd parties, I'd like to try a stock solution if possible, but I'll give it a try anyway.
Thanks!

no mate
stocks apps wont work in aokp
I tried with that app and it's just a widget, but it doesn't fix anything. Maybe another third party that completely replaces the built-in calendar? I can't believe that the rom calendar can't sync with exchange just like that. Any reason to justify it? Is this for all AOKP roms?
Thanks.

Same thing. That calendar doesn't make use of its own provider for Exchange. It keeps relaying on rom builtin system. Is there a way to install the provider/connector for Exchange? I noticed that even when it looks similar to stock, the calendar app used in this rom is a mod or something belonging to the hydrogenics author (paradoxxx). Maybe there's a workaround for this?
I think I found the solution to this, cryptically posted on another forum.
But essentially, in Accounts and Sync, where you're only seeing your Google Accounts and not the exchange one, turn sync off and then re-add the exchange account to the list. It won't work if you have sync turned on, it will just tell you that exchange account has already been synced.
Once you've re-added the account you'll be free to turn sync back on and it should work the way it did before you upgraded to ICS.

I've just updated to 4.0.4 original from Samsung, but I didn't like it, so I'll be rolling back to RR ICS and will give it a try... I'll love you if I get this to work this way! lol!
Thanks for your reply. I'll get back to confirm whether or not it worked...

I've had this problem for the past month, and I finally figured it out....no thanks to HTC, AT&T or my Exchange Active Sync provider. They all told me it was their problem, but another provider's issue. I was about to throw them all under the bus.
My problem was that the Exchange ActiveSync calendar stopped syncing, although the email and contacts worked fine. Appointments from my phone would sync to Outlook, but any appointment I put in Outlook would not sync to my phone.
This is my solution:
On my HTC Vivid, android version ICE, 4.0.3, AT&T cellular provider.
I went to: Home, Menu, Settings, Apps, All Apps, Calendar Storage.
Clear Data in Calendar Storage. This should erase the Exchange Calendar from your phone. I did not even have the Exchange Calendar as an option to view when I opened my Calendar.
Now, Remove the Exchange Account, and re-install it. No need to turn the phone off in between. My calendar worked perfectly after that.
If you really want to be thorough, clear the data on the Calendar and Calendar Widget, also.
I could not clear the cache in Calendar Storage, Calendar or Calendar Widget - it was not an available option for me.
I hope this helps!!!

Just uncheck sync of Google account (calendar), delete data in app setting/calendar storage (Home, Menu, Settings, Apps, All Apps, Calendar Storage.
Clear Data in Calendar Storage) and than delete Exchange account and setup it again.

Thanks a lot !!!
I just recently flashed DSC 1.3 pre 3 and so far everything seems to be running great. Thanks people for great development.
Just want to ask... I was able to setup my Exchange Mail but it seems that my Calendar does not sync... or the events I have do not even show in my Calendar. I did press the sync button for Calendar but still no success.
Anybody having the same issues or idea how to get it sync?
