I am thinking about getting a T-Mobile G2. I really love the keyboard and the design. The only question I have is whether anyone has had any success tethering it (via WiFi or BT) to their Archos 70 or 101.
I haven't had any success with my Cliq, but it would be nice to finally be able to tether like Archos advertised. And with those HSPA+ speeds, my A70 will be very happy.
So anyone had any success tethering the G2? Also, give me your thoughts on the G2 if you want.
hello

Hello,
Is it possible to tether my gtab to a non-smart phone such as a Motorola Z9 on a 3G network? (bluetooth or wired)
If it is possible, I would like to call my carrier to see how much the tethering charges are on a non-smart phone.
My Blackberry for work is only an 8320 on GSM. I heard it is practically useless to tether on GSM. Maybe I can talk someone into upgrading me to 3G. If that is the case, can a 3G Blackberry tether a gtab?
I would prefer to tether from my own phone.
Thanks for any info.

I've been reading in the gadget press for the past week about how carriers in the states are blocking tethering apps through the marketplace.
I'm looking to upgrade my phone this week to an S2 and was just wondering what the options are with tethering? Never had an Android phone before so not sure if it's likely to be a built in feature as well as an alternative download through the market. My old HD2 had it as a feature of the software on Win 6.5.
Anyone in the uk tethering their phones yet?
It's built right into Android. Been using the wireless hotspot feature all week so I can sit out in the sun and do some work
Excellent that's good to know. Thank you.
A recent version of Android introduced WiFi sharing, so you can turn your phone into a WiFI hot-spot and it'll route to your 3G connection.
Works like a treat, and seems far snappier than my old WinMo 6 with Bluetooth and Internet Sharing.
Anyone tried this on AT&T?
wi-fi hot spot works a treat and no need to root.
I'm thinking of buying a HTC Titan (Windows Phone), does anyone know if Wifi tethering to a Transformer Prime (ICS) works or has experience of it? Or to any other Windows Phone 7 device?
It seems that the issue people are having w/ WiFi tethering not working for ICS is w/ root-induced tethers.
My droid is w/ T-Mobile who lets you tether your life away for free and WiFi tethering is working perfectly fine after ICS.
Considering you're getting a W7, there is no root, so you should be fine.
I was just wondering I know FoxFi didn't allow wifi to work with the EVO3D, but I was wondering if that has changed since the phone has gotten ICS. I'm not rooted and I have it working great with bluetooth w/ my Tablet, but was thinking it would be nice to have it go wifi so I could use it with my 3DS.
hi everyone. recently I've bought iPad air 2(working bluetooth(4.2) only / no wi-fi/no cell). so i decided i will tether over BT(4.0 LE) from moto e2. I don't know why, but up and down speed is limited to 0,18 kbps. I tried tethering from another device asus t00q(4.0) and got 1.6 Mbps. Meanwhile tethering from moto to my old iPad 2 (BT 2.1) I got 0.5 Mbps.
I am really confused why moto is working like that. I assumed that the problem is within standards, but i don't know how to turn off Low Energy(LE) mode in bluetooth of my moto e2. Please help...
Hi
I have the Moto e 2 to and to me Bluetooth tethering is always slower. Can't you use normal Internet tethering?
Unfortunately, no wifi and cellular don't work.
