I realized That Code for UK versions of GSII is GT-I9100LKAXEU and In Sweden it is GT-I9100LKANEE. Does anyone knows if this is only a firmware difference or something more Serious( Like NFC ! )
Aside from it being country code, I don't know what else they could have classified.
United Kingdom - (LK) (A) XEU
Sweden - (LK) (A) NEE
Perhaps NFC might be one, but what else? Toss in your ideas guys.

The last 3 letters are the Carrier Specific Code (csc) which holds information like vpn setting and other identifiers for the likes of the android market. That doesn't mean the phones won't be different though.
Probably it is like old SGS. Product Code (XEU, KOR, NEE etc) practically just describes the programs you can download from the Samsung Apps. The product code can be easily changed with custom roms and reverted back by flashing original Samsung firmware. At the moment the product code in my SGS is KOR and my original code is XEE.

Hi,
I live in belgium but i have bought a galaxy S2 from a store with a CSC code that is not for my country ,
Its the code LUX, and i am in belgium, the codes for belgium are : BAE,BSE,PRO,XEB
is this normal and what kind of problems can occur?
Thanx
You can check/change the CSC with: *#272*{IMEI}#
where the {IMEI} value represents the 15 digits of your IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity).
Personally, I use KOR and my phone works perfect.
change csc dont work
Hey,
I used the code yesterday, and says only LUX.
Flash a CSC if you have to from.
Stock Roms .and csc

I just wanna now what problems i can have with this wrong csc code,
Yes i know i can flash it. But if i buy somthing from a store in my country.
It needs to be with the correct code otherwise the store needs to give me a correct phone.
So the first problem i think i have i need to wait to luxembourg for the update, not the belgium update?
Any other problems that can occur?

From few to none .

You will have to take it up with the seller but one presumes they would sell the correct model .
So the first problem i think i have i need to wait to luxembourg for the update, not the belgium update?
CSC will have nothing to do with update that comes from the product code .
CSC contains a number of text files that have the varying network details and configurations .CSC is not required for phone to work if network details are entered manually .

Hey guys!
Are there any real advantages of changing the CSC to the 'right' one? Currently, I'm on Omega 8.1 with CSC: EUR, and since I live in Sweden, I'd originally have one of these (according to this list):
Code:
ODK (SWEDEN) XEE (SWEDEN) HTS (SWEDEN) VDS (SWEDEN) NEE (SWEDEN)
My phone is working good at the moment, so I'm mainly asking this out of curiosity.
So..
1) Are there any advantages of changing the CSC?
2) If so, which one of the five codes above should I use?
Thanks for reading.

I have been discussing a similar question about Samsung Tab 7.7. My understanding is that no-one cares apart from Kies software. CSC is Samsung's invention for customizing software for a particular country or carrier. It adds certain access points for mobile data connections and in worst case scenario you have to configure them yourself. If I have EU firmware on my HK tab then I will not get updates from Kies and that is about it. As far as I can't stand Kies at all and always update using Mobile Odin then I don't give a damn what kind of CSC is assigned to my tab or phone.
CSC is a list of network connection settings and if branded may contain some brand supplied apps .
No CSC phone works but may need network settings entered by user .
Official Updates yes CSC is part of the required pattern of codes supplied to match firmware on the server . But this is XDA we dont do Kies .

The only sensible thing to do with Kies is to uninstall it
Allright, and since I don't use Kies either, I guess CSC is completely irrelevant. Thanks for the answers!
hi. my friend bought a galaxy s3 from europe but i think what he got is carrier specific. its sales code is VOD so i think it is a Vodafone carrier specific phone. you can check the details in the image attached.
now we are planning to change the sales code (or CSC?) from VOD to XTC since we are from philippines.
we tried to flash a firmware for philippine region into his s3, we used the firmware I9300XXBLH1.
after that, upon checking CSC through *#272*imei#* we have found out that its sales code is still VOD and theres no available CSC to choose. ( we hoped the sales code would be XTC after flashing the firmware from philippines)
unfortunately, kies did not recognized his phone and the messaging service is not responding, so we flashed back again the original firmware (I9300BUBLG3).
is there still a way for it to be an XTC? we want it to be I9300XXBLH1
thanks for the help.
Hi,
I have 2 Galaxy S2's here, one with SCS code XEN (Netherlands) and one with SEB(Baltic).
I want them both at a europe SCS code so I get the same updates on both devices.
If I check it via *#272*IMEI# I can choose on the SEB device to different countries (for example spain or france).
I do want to get the same updates on both devices so I have to change the SEB device to a europe country.
If I change the SCS code to spain (for example) would I get the OTA's which are in spain?
And if I change it, would my device be wiped?
I'm still at stock firmware (4.0.3) but would like to update to 4.0.4 just as the other device.
Thanks in advance.
Hi all,
Tab S6 in my country is only limited to 128gb version, while I heavily rely on Lightroom mobile and sometimes need a lot of space for my raw files. This made me buy 256gb variant abroad.
My country code is XEO (Poland) and my device was bought in Germany (DBT). Is there an option to change CSC (including paid programs) to do this?
Of course I have tried Odin and XEO firmware, but it turns out that it's multi-csc and always sticks to original DBT. I have also tried *#272# code and flashing with SIM card in and out, but CSC always stays DBT.
Any of you had any luck?
Anyone out there? I am interested in this as well - I have the international version and am in the US on TMB but have a CSC indicates I am in Poland. I worry that I am not getting timely updates - I hear than TMB has updated to the Feb security patch and I'm still rocking the Dec '19 patch.
Same thing here as well. Got a T-865 XEF but I need DBT
The only effective method seems to use https://www.samkey.org/ through credits (for the TM-865 it asks for 6 credits (which for a single use it is better to buy on a site like ebay) then they send you login ( with the 6 credits) and if it allows, the change of CsC "THAT IS IN THE MULTIROM" is better before making sure with the Apk of Info SAM * INFO to see that CsC HAS the Rom installed, if the CsC of our choice is in The device, without problems, but if it is not available, it will not be possible unless before uploading the Rom + CsC to change.
After several attempts, and tutorials to change XEF / Fracia DBT / Germany, it seems the only method that works
It is necessary to respect the binary, to the case, the Hardware Asia, Europe, America, and not to put the Firmware of a container in another (it will not work) the ROMs of the Global version, EU in the EU and those of the USA in the USA and the from Asia to Asia
tool and "1 credit" even if I bought 6 as the official support page indicated to me when consulting about the SM-T865 LTE device
Original from France XEF it was impossible to change the Region Code for another of my interest DBT German because it is updated more frequently than the rest of the EU Global zone
PHE and XEF from Spain and France follow at the end of October 2020 with May patch while German DBT was updated twice in September 2020
The process turns out to be easier than usual
No need to even format the device in operation
Only with Phone * info you have to see the CSC available in the Rom available on the device and if the one of our choice DBT is already there in my case you can start
If the CSC is not present, it is when it will be necessary to Flashar before with a compatible Rom equal or higher in Binary and that contains the CSC to finally change
In Windows, which is where the SamKey software runs, you have to change the local language to US English unicode (it does not affect the local language of our pc
The code operation lasts only 4 or 5 minutes and as I say it does not erase anything from the device
Finally we have a CSC DBT / DBT / SIM1
The active CSC is the one that receives the HOTA from now on and from that moment receives update from Germany
Today it is the only reliable and efficient way
